I had to get up from the table and ask for butter to make it edible and still I worried whether I was going to break a crown. The pickled vegetables? Again, HUGE, hard and barely pickled. I will refrain from criticizing the service because they are all unaware of the nightmare in which they are working. Bless their hearts. I was so sad and annoyed. People think they can buy a restaurant with recipes and wholesale accounts and staff and just run it, "business as usual" but they are wrong. But this brownie was a let down chocolate wise. The lighter color kinda worried me at first and sure enough it just tasted like a brownie made with more brown sugar than chocolate. Also more dry and cake-y than it was gooey and moist. Upon paying I also noticed they had a ton of their coffee beans already packed in 1 pound bags laid out on their counter. I love grinding and brewing batches at home so I snagged a bag. Got a Bali Blue Moon ($21ish/5*) which I never had. And after several brews at home, I really like this bean and roast. I'd say this was medium dark in roast and has great coffee notes and structure. Next time I roll through town, I'm definitely gonna snag another coffee drink to try and another pound of coffee from another origin. Makes me stoked that I'm always gonna leave with a nice parting gift after a roadtrip.

Since losing the most delicious blend of beans for making latte's on my Breville espresso machine, I looked and found this old-school roaster! But be warned, the coffee they use is not the cardboard, milquetoast stuff you get at the chains. This is the best bean you can find, and wow! It carries a wallop of flavor and strength! The connected room had shirts, sweatshirts, and a fridge with grab n go items. The back room, had a few vintage pinball machines along with some tables and chairs. That'd be such a fun place to hang out at! Ordered a vanilla latte with almond milk and ice maple latte, also with almond milk. Both were wonderfully crafted and provided the morning jolt needed.
