I'm normally not a huge fan of Peets coffee. But I was running late today for a job interview, after my two year old kept me up all night and Peets was on my way. I figured bad coffee was better than no coffee. So, I run in and there is a huge line. Well crap, I think, but I'm already here why not see if this goes quickly.. To my huge surprise! It does. The folks behind the counter are moving and before I know it I'm standing at the counter. Normally I'm bad with names, but Clair is my two year old's name, and now Clair stands in front of me ready to take my order, and I was so stressed about the interview I hadn't thought about what to get at all! She asks me what I would like and I just look at her like a idiot. Normally I get something super hot, but I won't have time to drink it before the interview if I get my normal drink. Almost instantly I start to panic. I don't have time to stand here and debate and I'm pretty sure if I don't move the line behind me is going to turn into a riot in the next ten seconds. So, I take the cowards route and ask her to give me a whatever she likes iced. I also mention that I have an interview and that I'm in a hurry. She makes a suggestion, I don't even hear what she said and agree. I pay and move over to the side. Still panicking that I'm going to be late. But, again the folks behind the counter are moving, the group that was waiting for drinks when I came in... They've all disappeared. A moment later, Clair is calling my name, handing me a drink and wishing me a good day. I swear the entire thing from the time I entered to when I left took less than 2 minutes. I think maybe Clair is a witch and had my drink ready before I got here. I normally don't leave reviews, but the speed, service and drink were all amazing! 6/5 gold stars! Would come again! I got iced macchiato and after ordering I got it fairly quickly even though it was busy. The drink was nice and strong and it was a nice little treat! I like the aftertaste as it had a nice coffee flavor and it was nice and strong but it didn't have a nasty aftertaste. read more

Beautiful and delicious drink. I got an oatmeal latte with a little bit of white chocolate syrup and cinnamon and caramel and whip on the top. It really hits the spot! I also tried a sample of their new Ube Matcha. The Ube is beautifully flavored with fig since normally Ube is not sweet at all. In general the Peets espresso shots, regular coffee and everything else is more elevated and tastier than it's competitors. Maybe a teeny bit more pricey but it's worth it! read more

Peets has always been the premier larger coffee brand for me. Their espresso is absolutely fantastic and so much better than their closest rivals. The staff here is so wonderful and friendly. Bathrooms are clean and don't require a code. Always a nice perk. Good WiFi and nice natural light in this location. Parking is easy and plentiful. read more

I've been to Peet's a few times. I am not sure why I tend to avoid it. There's nothing special about it, and the space is pretty small inside. But I frequent this area a lot! So after tennis, I decided to give it another try. I woke up late and didn't have time to eat breakfast before meeting up with my sister for tennis. I packed my flip flops for after tennis, my book and reading glasses and a cord for charging my phone. All set for quality time by myself! There were only a few people inside, and I spotted a cozy spot. I put my bag at the corner table and went to counter to order. I asked what vegan options they had for coffee and was told their chocolate was vegan and I could get mocha. So I got an iced mocha with oat milk. I was also famished after tennis, so I asked about the vegan food options. As far as baked goods, they had a brownie. My least favorite baked good. They had a breakfast sandwich that consisted of Just Egg, Chao cheese and Impossible sausage patty. That's what I ended up getting. It tasted good and it was filling. The corner spot I found was perfect for reading and there was an outlet so I could charge my phone. I decided to get an iced caramel macchiato with oat milk for my roommate. I didn't tell him it was oat because he is not vegan, but he said it was good! read more

Peet's coffee has disappointed me in airport and wanted to give Peet's another try because of its popularity. To be honest, I am surprised. Tried their iced latte along with croissant. This was good. One of the first places open that I met some very nice people when I moved during the pandemic in 2020. I moved from SF where I had a great rapport with the baristas, and the same goes for here. Though they may be a small chain, as a coffee snob I can honestly say they have the best coffee and amazingly great and kind customer service. Certainly my go-to as an early riser! My first time at this location and trying one of their seasonal drinks, a cardamom citrus mocha frappe. It's a blended drink and refreshing. The citrus flavor stands out a little more than the cardamom mocha. I like that the blended ice wasn't too thick or airy-- just right. I substituted with oat milk and no whipped cream. Every time I come here I'm waiting 20 minutes if there's 5 people ahead of me or 10. The flavor is hit or miss

Absolutely love the coffee and the staff is nice, but every single time I go it takes 15-30+ minutes to get my order..

Peet's is my go-to coffee shop. Even as I've traveled from SF to Portland, I still manage to seek out a Peet's. Their mochas are always consistently robust and balanced and they never fail me. Today, Carmen, the barista, was exceptional. She smiled at me even as I was getting out of the car and she patiently showed me how to use my rewards on my Peet's app. Of course, she was keen enough to pick up on my name and addressed me by name the rest of the time. I felt bad that because my drink was free, I couldn't leave a tip. She was very gracious about it. If only the world had more Carmens in customer service and in human interactions, period. read more

I have been a customer of Peets Coffee for two decades and eventhough the original owner has passed over and many things have changed, I still favor them over many others... My favorite is the Espresso Forte and the Sumatra... The Major Dickinson is great, but has its dependencies and I like to go days in between my indulgences... All in all the customer service is good... The ambiance is claiming and the pastries are fresh and reasonably price... I like to sit, people watch and chill on my computer sometimes... Peet's Coffee is pretty good. I would definitely choose it over Starbucks but not a local shop. I ordered a cold brew with brown sugar and, though it tasted good, it wasn't stirred enough so there were gelatinous blobs of sugar throughout my drink. So some of my sips were plain coffee or just sugar. I wasn't sure if that was the intended experience until I turned to my partner, former barista, who told me that it just wasn't stirred enough. I drank it any ways but hopefully in the future I can have what it should actually be. The seating area was nice and quiet despite being in a busy plaza parking lot with a Whole Foods. If I lived nearby, I'd consider working here it looked that comfy. read more

I like their coffee fine... The are behind Portland coffee roasters such as people's coffee and Stumptown. Portland has many good roasters and sometime I got burnt taste coffee at other locations. (Hard to keep up good quality once you get big?) I give four starts because I like this place for their match latte, which use real green tea powder (that's my understanding) and no syrup or sweetener. I got my first matcha latte at PDX and this has been one of my favorite if I don't want to drink coffee but want something give me a little kick. And you can get this chainstore level, means nationwide:) I stopped after my meeting and had golden matcha latte, this was decent, I can taste both matcha and a hint of turmeric (but not too strong). This is a good one to add to my business trip drink. And this location has parking spots, also close to wholefoods, very convenient. I like local own coffee roasters but nationwide chain stores also give me reliable WiFi service and decent drinks, that's important, too. . read more

My friend and I really enjoyed our visit to this Peet's Coffee shop this morning. Due to the pandemic you are not allowed to enter the shop at all. You place your order at one entrance and then pick up your order at another entrance. You are blocked from getting inside at both entrances by carts. The lady who took our order was friendly and helpful. The credit card station was easily accessible and there was a carafe for cash tips. When our order was ready at the other entrance, it was called out for us to pick up. The entire process was well orchestrated. There are several tables outside for customers to use that are nicely spaced apart. My friend ordered a vanilla cinnamon latte which he really enjoyed. I ordered the hibiscus tea fog which was very good. This Peet's is located across the parking lot from the Tanasbourne Whole Foods. There is plenty of parking and bus 48 stops nearby. We will definitely return to this Peet's. read more

Great place for coffee - definitely better than Starbucks, which is just across the street in Tanasbourne. Seriously, they have much better coffee, and prices are comparable, so you should just go here instead :) I just wish they had more locations, and maybe a drive-through, but given the choice I'd go to Peet's over Starbucks! read more

I used to work remotely and would spend very long days here with coffee and a pastry. My go to drink is the hazelnut late with almond milk, hot or iced depending on the weather, and it's always tasted good. And I mean, I've gotten a burned espresso shot once out of the years I've been coming here, and they re-made my coffee no questions asked. Speaking of, the customer service is ALWAYS EXCELLENT. Peet's employees here are so welcoming, kind, funny and knowledgeable. This is why I had no issue spending my days here working, and spending too much money on lates and refills and pastries. Been hooked on Pete's again lately. That Havana cappuccino is the best. The coffee quality is always great, the service is always with smile. The store is clean and people enjoy hanging out here also. My only beef was a recently came by before they were to close and well it was locked up and the employees where cleaning up. Trying to get out early I think, but I was not thrilled because they should have still been open doors till the top of the hour. Still like this location and their coffee, it has entered back in to my rotation. read more

I've only ordered at this location 5 times in the last two weeks and 3/5 times they have gotten it wrong. At least they catch it before hand but I don't understand what is so complicated about my drink to consistently mess it up. There's two girls here who are so sweet and down to earth and everyone else I've come across is the complete opposite. Just remember that the cafe is not very big and facial expressions/ conversations are easily heard and observed. read more

My friend and I had an early flight to Portland and were on our way to Cannon Beach when we saw the sign for Peet's Coffee Shop. We had the best experience mainly because of a sweet employee named Addison. Addison went out of her way to accommodate us. I ordered tea but forgot to specify that I wanted iced tea. Addison not only made me a wonderfully flavorful cup of iced tea, but she also gave me the hot tea that was made and an extra cup of ice so that I could make my own refill. She was so delightful and sweet. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop here. read more

Wow peets you have a fan. I was not a fan of peets for a long time considering all the amazing choices of coffee ships there in sw portland. Considering i live in the suburbs and not a fan of starbucks my choices are very very restricted. A month ago peets introduced this havana cappuccino which was surprisingly very good. I have been returning here just for this one till i tried their nee coconut javiva and i am impressed. Yay Peet's! Thank goodness you have a location here as I am not a fan of Starbucks. I visit this location at least a couple times a week. The staff is always super friendly and pretty much know me by name now. The coffee is always great no matter what you order. My Faves: Their latte's, cappucinos, and brewed coffee. I'm pretty sure I've tried just about everything on the menu though and have never had a bad drink. The prices are better than Starbucks too. PROS: Great coffee, great staff, within walking distance to my home, and free wi-fi (if you buy a drink....) CONS: Nothing really. Sometimes it can get a bit crowded and seating options are nill, but they have outdoor seating too! To use wi-fi you have to buy a drink and ask for a code. Hmph. No huge biggy, but it only lasts an hour. read more

Wow, so late to the Peets train. Their coffee is so much better than another big name brand that rhymes with TarClucks that I'd come here anyday I need a caffeine fix. For one, their lattes/fancy drinks aren't as bloody sweet so I can actually finish the darn thing. For two, I'd probably drink their coffee with minimal additives to begin with. I love Peet's Coffee. I worked for Peet's in the 90's as their first distributor in Oregon. I patronized the NE Broadway store frequently. I've been going to this location since they opened and have been happy to have a Peet's so close. Most of the employees are friendly and all do a great job. I do miss my pastries though. After a remodel a while back, all of the Peet's locations started using open pastry cases. AKA: simply leaving then out in the open to collect anything and everything blown or sneezed their way. I won't eat a pastry that is just collecting dust, bug poo and human germs from customers coughing and sneezing one foot away from them, completely unprotected. The airport location finally covered their pastries after figuring out why their pastry sales were plummeting. Who would guess people won't buy a scone with gnats circling it or a muffin with flies laying larvae on it. When will the other locations figure it out? I hate to knock my beloved Peet's, but attempting to sell germy pastries is just, well, gross. read more
