Thank you to the main office and district leader who connected quickly with me after my last review. They were kind, truly interested in my experience with genuine feedback, AND went above and beyond to make me feel heard!!! I believe they used this as a training tool which was my intention for the review. The district leader invited me back into the Alamo location to try it again if and when I felt comfortable. This one's for YOU since I usually won't go back after I've had enough. Today I did! The cashier was wonderful, normal traffic was steady but still worth the wait, AND the product was spot on. I was greeted by name (remember I was a regular for a long time) and told it was good to see me back. A nice surprise I didn't expect. Happy to review higher and update as I see this consistent over time. Thanks district leader (out of respect I won't name you but you rock!) for shifting, retraining, and bringing back hope in this location. I'm an avid Peet's drinker and my local Alamo Peet's has really gone downhill, unfortunately! All the great staff has left. There are not enough staff people now. The line is out the door. I write this as I wait for 15 minutes from ordering my coffee to receiving it. No staff person is friendly enough to shout out "thanks for coming folks. Sorry about the wait. We'll be with you as soon as we can. " The 2 main women baristas-I think one is the new manager-are often just outside the store on a smoking break, which is gross to think about them returning to make my coffee drink. i spent part of the afternoon hanging out in Peets today. had coffee and found it was too acidic for me. the tables are too small to sit at. i sure wish they'd invest in larger tables for larger groups to hang out at after work. that is my wish. read more

It was 920 in the morning there were nine people in front of me about five people behind me and we waited in line for about six minutes one cashier she had to take care of a person ordering beans and grind them they had 2 barista's! All hail to the Peet's opening in Alamo! Ever since I moved to the area I wondered when they would open one in Alamo and after Yellowwood went out of business, kept the hope alive. I have been 3 times now and they opened on September 19th. Even though I live within walking distance to the Peet's in Danville, this one is laid out nicely (more room) and has easy parking. So far, customer service has been great and though I have only indulged in drip thus far (Garuda, Blend 101 and House), I look forward to testing the Barista's latte making ability soon. read more

I've been waiting for Peet's to open since I heard they would be opening a store in Alamo Plaza. They opened on Monday, but I did not have a chance to go down there until Thursday. I walked in and the entire store was spotless. I looked over the menu, and a nice woman walked over and asked me if I needed any help. I asked her for some recommendations, and ended up ordering the Godiva Dark Chocolate Raspberry Blended Freddo. The name is a mouthful, but trust me - as soon as it was ready, it was worth every penny and every word. I took my first sip, and the Godiva Dark Chocolate illuminated my taste buds. The raspberry drizzle was absolutely delicious, and it was that moment alone that made me hooked. Great customer service, great drinks, and free wi-fi. Their quality of coffee surpasses that of Starbucks, and I would recommend Peets to ANYBODY over Starbucks. read more

One of the best Pete's coffee and tea stores in the Bay Area! The staff is friendly, the place is clean and spacious, and there is nothing to complain about. Strong coffee that satisfies. You don't need to "girly-man" your drinks with syrups and the like. Go to "bucks" for those foo-foo types of drinks. This is good strong coffee, almost like you get in Europe. I love this Peet's! I'm always looking for the perfect coffee shop to study in. Usually most are dimly lit, have loud music, seriously crowded, or just does not serve good drinks, but this one is nearly perfect! This place is pretty small, but it has outdoor seating as well if you want to sip coffee and enjoy good weather! However, I generally like to sit inside because the environment is perfect for studying. It has pretty bright lighting compared to other Peet's. It also has comfy chairs and friendly staff! I wouldn't say this place is good for late night studying since it closes so early, but if you want to grab a book for some morning or afternoon tea/coffee, it's great! My only complaint is that it's always ridiculously cold in here.. The AC is amped up to antarctica temperature. I recommend bringing a jacket if you come here. Otherwise, great staff, service, and tea! read more

Coffee is always strong and excellent. Baked goods are fresh and delicious. Service is prompt and cheerful. Only criticism is that more attention could be paid to tidiness and cleanliness of the place generally - particularly the tables and seating. read more

Consistantly Peet's but for some reason this place seems extra slow compared to Danville which knocks the line out very fast... Maybe Alamonians buy more beans which really throws a wrench in the works. I find the bean service annoying, makes you feel like your a second rate customer. read more

I have been going to this Peets location for over a year straight. Every morning they have my drink ready at the bar, just the way I like it. In making the decision to have coffee out every morning, there has to be one substantial reason to spend the extra money, the reason is convenience and service. This location hits the 100% mark every day. Two people I would like to single out are Caylie and Justin, they notice when I enter the door and greet me by name and start my drink prior to other customers, I always feel like a king, it is awesome. read more

Beautiful store! Bright, light and HUGE for a Peet's. Lots of outside seating. Everyone there was pleasant (and some of the guys working there are just handsome...wish I was a bit younger!). The coffee was hot, the pastries looked wonderful behind the glass and the place was clean. I hope all of the above keeps up and this Peet's keeps its 5 star rating. Parking is plentiful. Watch out Starbucks Alamo...I am so happy I no longer have to meet the ex-hubby there to discuss the kids. Now he and I get to do it in a place that actually has great coffee. read more

I only go to this location because they're close and easy. It's in the same parking lot as my bank-grocery store-dry cleaner-drugstore-pet store-post office. I love the coffee. I even buy it at Safeway so I can have it at home. My problem is with the level of customer service at this location (SF FiDi is good). The "kid" staff at this location are really rude and could really care less about customer service. I think there is hope for these kids, but they need some serious training. There is no eye contact, no greeting given, no thank you, no instructions given (ie: "Your drink may be found at the end of the counter. Thanks for stopping by"). Really nothing. Good drinks/product? The employees that work there are great. The manager is very unpleasant and at times can be downright rude. I will refuse to go to this Peets anymore. My wife goes literally every morning, and I go 3 to 4 times a week.It's a shame I've been going there for years every morning. read more

Starbucks may not have the best coffee but the customer service in Alamo is great and they are always willing to allow for my random creative expression in ordering drinks....I suppose what they say about Starbucks is true about being able to make several decisions all at the same time... Stop, just Stop acting "confused" if someone says tall or grande. Its just Not good customer service. This doesn't happen at Starbucks if someone says Small, at least not that I've experienced. I know all the kids are like So pro their jobs with Peet's and I respect they get that fun culty attitude about their jobs, but if Peet's is in any way encouraging them to act Confused, or act rude about someone saying Tall or Grande or whatever, or the store managers are ok with this, then that is just horrible customer service. Coffee just the way you like it. Best part is they have Almond Milk!!! I love you for that. If you could incorporate coconut milk that would be even better. This place is a local hang out. In the morning when I stop by it's full of locals having their get-togethers. Yes it's loud but hey let people get their mingle on. If you don't like the noise there is outdoor seating or simply TAKE IT TO GO. Coffee should not be complicated. And these guys know what's up. Its fast, easy, and convenient. They have great pastries for when you're craving that sweetness and you can also go healthy with their oatmeal. Peet's I will be coming by to get me my morning pick me up. Holey moley moley! Let me start by saying that there is more coffee than blood in my veins. I've been a Starbucks customer all my life and happened to try Peet's for the first time today. The black tie iced coffee is now my all time favorite. I'll definitely be returning for this one. It's even got condensed milk in it to sweeten the deal. It's not overly sweet, but just the right amount of sweet. Baristas in this place actually seem to know what they're doing as well. Another big plus is that they didn't switch to the adult sippy cups that spill everywhere. There are actual lids that don't spill and straws. So after almost 15 years at Starbucks, I think I'm going to make the switch to Peet's. read more

I'm a big Peet's fan so I've been to a lot of stores and this location is one of my favorites. The staff is consistently friendly and the space is large and well organized with plenty of room to find a good reading or study spot. They have a few different seating areas including a large conference table (available to reserve or community use), bench/table seating throughout, four large leather chairs, a few high top tables and a great outdoor patio. I dont know what is going on with this place. I love Peets but this location is terrible now. The last 6 months there is always only 1 person at the register, and that is during peak times ( 8-9am on weekdays, weekend mornings). I had literally waited 20 minutes to order a plain coffee (which I shouldnt have). Meanwhile half the time I see 3 people in the BACK where the dishwashing area is! If they are unwilling to hire staff to take the cash (basic 101 of of business-have enough people to take the money!), then at least have a different line for quick drip coffee orders like starbucks often does. read more

I am definitely a regular at this Peet's. It's one thing to meet up with my coffee buddies before heading to work but it's a whole other service piece when you have an extraordinary manager on the team. One day I was ordering a coffee drink for only the second time (first medium cafe au Lait was ordered with her a couple days before) and this particular manager Stephanie was on the line making drinks and overheard how I ordered mine and caught the fact that I ordered regular but preferred soy milk and verbally fixed the order before it was even made. I was blown away. She has an amazing memory but more important she made me feel special and this is what differentiates businesses. I don't like the service in all Peet's Coffee shops but this one I love! read more

I was fortunate to be able to attend the friends and family event for the pre-grand opening of the Peet's Coffee in Alamo yesterday. Upon entering the store I was immediately welcomed by the Manager as well as almost every employee in the store with either a smile or with a friendly greeting. It is amazing to see amount of detail and design that was done with the space. I can tell that this will be the new go to spot in Alamo. I love their teas. I just recently discovered their iced teas. I just recently went in and asked to try their iced teas. They were kind enough to let me try the base teas for free. I fell in love with the Green Tea Tropical. I now stop in every afternoon and have the Green Tea Tropical and a piece of their amazing Pumpkin Bread. I love all of their iced teas so far. read more
