The chicken looks delicious and crunchy but it wasn't as crunchy as I hoped. Chicken was seasoned, so I'll let it pass. (Holy non-GMO though, everything was jumbo sized! Probably a good selling point though!) For my side I went with the mashed potatoes & gravy since the mac and cheese was a unnatural bright orange. My best guess is it is powdered for both potatoes and the gravy. The potato container tipped and it was so liquidy that it slid right over. Gravy had no aftertaste of anything. I should have gotten a pizza. It's a standard casino food court but it not very often you see fried chicken being offered. The menu is simple, pick how many pieces and a side. If you get the meal deal, you can't substitute pieces of chicken for another cut without paying extra. And the meal deal doesn't include a drink. At least the drink cups are refillable. That's the only enjoyable thing I found about this place. The chicken was dry and appearance was less appealing. Instead of golden brown, it looked more like golden burnt. There was so much egg batter around the chicken that it sucks the moister in your mouth once you're done chewing. Now I know why the drinks are refillable. Overall two stars. Stopped by Pechanga Fried Chicken while we were at the Pechanga a few weeks ago. The food court is casual and convenient--perfect for a quick bite between after spending time at the pool. The chicken was fine although a bit pricey. One thigh was around $5, but hey, it's casino dining. The sides were standard fare--nothing to write home about, but they did the job. Service was efficient. It's a grab-and-go setup, so you cant really mess that up. Would I go out of my way for it? Probably not. FCFC is Food Court Fried Chicken and this was pretty good and looked like the best option out of everything in the Pechange Resort and Casino Food Court. I ordered a 3 piece meal with mashed potatoes and gravy. Fresh is not an F word I'd describe this with. I was there around noon on a weekday and there was a lot of chicken sitting there. I have no idea how long, but I'll say you can tell that it wasn't made in the past 10 minutes. The leg was huge AF. I'd like to see these chickens this food came from. It was a lot of chicken and I wish I had the 2 piece instead (although I think it was like $1 more for a 3 piece, so why not). It was good but the skin could have been crispier. The Mashed Potatoes were pretty good too, and the gravy was served on the side, which made it nice for dipping the chicken in too. There were a TON of potatoes and I barely ate half as I was focussing on the chicken. They had honey and hot sauce for condiments which was a nice touch, but I was happy with the chicken, taters, and gravy. Oh, and a refillable soda pop was good too. Thursday, September 19, 2024: We came here to specifically pick up a free wok with accessories and use our easy dine to eat. We felt like a chicken night. It smelled so good! Thankfully we beat the crowd as there was no line as we approached the counter. The young lady, who took our order was very sweet & welcoming & we engaged in friendly discourse until a line formed behind us! Our order came under $19. Thanks easy dine! The good this time was perfectly made! Our popcorn chicken was delicious, moist, tender and there was so much of it! Their Mac 'n Cheese was creamy, cheesy, and tasty. We've gotten food from here in the past and it's been pretty consistent. Pechanga Fried Chicken is located in the Pechanga Food Court. Service is always good, the Ate's & Kuya's are very friendly at the counter. Bernardo was the one at the counter today. He was super friendly and gave me very good service. The wait wasn't too bad, only waited 8 minutes for them to get my order out. I ordered the Family Meal #3 and it comes w 8 pieces of chicken and 4 sides (mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, green beans, and biscuits). It wasn't as fresh as it would've been had it been eaten there. The chicken was a bit dry, as well as the mashed potatoes... but then again it's probably because this was a to-go order. I also got the chicken wings and popcorn chicken. The wings and popcorn chicken were good... I'd recommend this instead of the regular fried chicken. Overall it was alright. Not horrible, but just alright. As a fried chicken lover, I had to try this place out. I heard one of the staff members telling a guest that their chicken is really good here so I took that advice as a bystander and went with it. It's located at the food court area of the casino and you have different combinations to choose from but I wanted one breast and one thigh so they charge a little extra for the breast. It came with one side, biscuit and a drink. The crazy part is they charge for a little gravy which I get some places so that but they also charge for a side of ranch which was odd. Either way it wasn't a big deal but slightly surprised about a side of ranch. As for the food itself, it wouldn't have been bad if the chicken skin was fully cooked. It was very rubbery and almost impossible to chew. The Mac n cheese I got as a side was just barely warm and had just turned into a ball from being sitting out for a while. Sadly the potential for it to be better is there but maybe a little better management and maybe quality control would fix it. Okay just gonna jump into reviewing the food on a letter grade scale. Popcorn chicken is for sure a D-. Uneven sized pieces so the smaller pieces are so overcooked that its like biting into a piece of steel. Wayyyyyy too salty. If you can manage chewing through the steel, its like a block of sodium. Also, minus point for random piece of paper(?) in my chicken. Mac n Cheese gets a C-. Already knew that wasnt going to taste great just by looking at it. But the main issue is its lacking salt. Crazy bc the chicken is primarily salt it seems. But I guess all the salt for the sides was put into the chicken. Nothing more to say bc this mac is pretty bland. Mashed potatoes gets a C. Its potatoes and theyre mashed. Most likely some rehydrated flakes, but no surprise here. Like the mac n cheese, these could benefit from some salt. But pretty standard. Thicker than KFC but thats not really an accomplishment. Biscuit (not pictured) gets a C. Its a plain biscuit and its a little on the dry side. Its in a casino food court so what more can you expect? Its laid out cafeteria style so you can see before you order. Employees are hit or miss but if they're less than friendly I dont blame them. Theyre clientele are casino-goers so imagine what dealing with a bunch of gamblers and tourists is like. But I will say that the employees have always been nice to me. Whenever I stay at Pechanga resort and want something to eat super fast I tend to make my way to the Pechanga Chicken Fried line. Friendly and fast service here! They have combos and family meals which I love and is a bang for your buck! It's not pricey at all! Especially if Pechanga comps you for your food. For your sides: you can choose from corn, steamed carrots, mash potatoes and gravy, beans, green beans & biscuits. I always get their corn, mash potatoes and green beans. The chicken is a thick deep fried coating and mild flavor. I wish they had spicy flavor, it would be really good! But when you're hungry this place does the job! This place always had a line and I wasn't sure why and more than ever I'm definitely not sure now. It is the worst fried chicken and sides I have ever had anywhere ever! I get comps and even then this place sucks. The service is fine, but the food is beyond awful. The chicken was super greasy and the breading was soggy. The breading also had little flavor. I got mac and cheese, which was a mushy fake cheese nightmare. Probably good for a child's preference but a hard pass for me. Look at that freaking biscuit. Hard as a rock and dry as sand. Even butter didn't help it. Hilariously too the butter they gave me was 1/4 of the container full so you need like 4 containers to moisten that mess! I've been to this place twice so far. Most recently my experience was great. The chicken was hot, crispy and delicious. The biscuit and Mac n cheese were okay. As far as service goes, the little Filipino lady at the register was super sweet. The other lady that gave me my order was very nice as well. I can't tell I pay using my free dining credits from the casino. I always get the 3 piece combo with green beans and a biscuit for $17 dollars. It's pretty wild looking at the reviews for this place. One person is in chicken heaven while the next seems to have found the lowest level of chicken Hell. My experiences have luckily been pretty good. The pieces of chicken have been quite large. A two piece dinner comes with a biscuit with a margarine spread and honey. I do wish they would provide real butter instead of the imitation junk. The meal is quite filling unless you have an enormous appetite in which case you can order one of the larger dinners. My chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and nice and juicy on the inside. No problem with undercooked chicken tonight. The side of corn on the cob was acceptable if rather bland. Again, it would be nice if they provided some cubes of butter. I think they charge you enough to be able to afford a couple of pads of butter. The service was fairly efficient but the cashier did charge me for the corn after I inquired about how it was prepared and told her no corn. Such is life. Trying to correct those types of errors usually winds up being more of a headache than just letting it go. The lines at the food court can be crazy. I took a picture of the chicken stand and in a matter of a few minutes the line had tripled in size. Same thing at coffee/bakery line.
