I recently went to PV, purchased some glasses and want to purchase another pair online. I called to get my PD . I was told by Fatima and Dr Fazal that they could not give me my full prescription. Yesterday, I called this Pearle Vision location. Fatima answered the phone. I told her that I needed to order contacts. She asked me for my name and if I needed to schedule an appointment. I told her that I already came in for an appointment last week. She started arguing with me and kept saying, "No, you didn't." I kept telling her, "Yes, I did." Then, she said, "Are you sure? This is Naperville Pearle Vision." I told her that yes, I did come in. And that the doctor gave me a new brand of contacts for me to try. So, she said that she'll check the files. She checked the files. Apparently, my appointment was not put into the system on the computer. I don't know why she would argue that I didn't come in. I know if I came in for an appointment or not. Then, she asked me which contact brand that I wanted to order. I told her that I wanted to order the new one. I accidentally said.. Daily 30. She then said that they're not daily, that they're Total 30. I told her that that's what I meant. That I just forgot the name. It's not good customer service to argue with the customer. She can be nice at times. However, I don't really talking to her and am glad that I don't have to talk to her again until my appointment next year. read more

This is the first time I have ever left a review on an eye dr. This pearle vision over all only cares about your money. I went here for a eye glasses and contact appt. The dr decided to change my prescription all together after having the same script for years! I normally buy biofinity torics and the dr explained to me how I just didnt need those and just buy the pearle vision brand. She stated it was exactly the same just their brand. They were not the same very different! I cant see clearly. I have had an infection in my eye and i also have an inflamed eye to the point where I started losing my vision. Want to know why? Because of the cheap pearle vision contacts i purchased. Come to find out the dr gets a cut of money when they sell their brand over others. I literally just had the absolute worst customer service experience on the phone this morning with both their receptionists (mainly Carla? Carmen?). I called to figure out which brand of contact lenses I was using prior, and also to see if I can make an order at a different Pearl Vision since I no longer live in Naperville. The receptionist out of nowhere, very rudely states: "Are you going to ask me for the prescription too?!" I didn't even need that information, but for her to kind of attack me in that manner was totally inappropriate. Anyone that's worn contacts for an extended period of time, realizes that sometimes the brand of contacts don't fit properly after a while, and just needed to remember which brand so I can inform the doc those don't work for me. I was a first time Pearl Vision customer and like to keep track of the brands just in case I switch to a different eye doctor (whether for a move or change in insurance). It's very sad that Pearl Vision was willing to lose a customer over two fairly common questions, and I will never buy from them again if that's how they treat customers. I even asked to speak with the doctor, and she just transferred me to a different receptionist who hurriedly told me the brands and then hung up on me. Can I give zero stars or a minus? I hate this location so much, I cannot form a sentence to describe it without stringing along a couple obscenities. The major problem here is the rude receptionist. Instead of greeting me when I walked in, she immediately demanded to know if I had any insurance. Gee, I could see where this was going. My first problem is the fact that when I go into the doctor's office and purchase new contact lenses, I hope to come out with better vision. I have astigmatism which requires toric contact lenses. The doctor swore up and down I didn't need them and prescribed regular contacts. Well holy crap, they didn't fit and my vision was blurred for two days. I go back and this time another doctor examines my eyes. Of course, he discovers that yes, I did need toric lenses. Way to treat you patients, Pearle Vision! Then the receptionist must have been pissed about ordering different contacts because she scolded me by saying, "I have astigmatism and I don't need toric lenses." Excuse me lady, where's your doctor's degree. I really don't need a lecture from a glorified secretary. She is unbelievably rude to everyone in there. And that's the number one reason why I will never return to Pearle Vision. read more

Apparently, when you are the last appointment of the evening, you have to come back another time to pick out your glasses. Receptionist was rude and the doctor was grouchy. I decided not to go back and tried to order my glasses from an online store through my insurance. Well, Pearle refused to confirm my prescription twice! You know how some people fear going to the dentist? I feel the same way about going to the eye doctor. So now, I have to go to another place, have another exam, pay for the exam again since my insurance won't cover a second exam, and then get my glasses. Totally ridiculous. read more

I'm new to the glasses world and decided to give Pearl Vision a try based on a recommendation from a friend. The experience was nothing short of great, we made an appointment and I showed up and was given the forms to fill out, they had pulled up all my insurance info prior to my arrival and taken care of that ahead of time which was greatly appreciated. The eye doctor did a great job at checking my eyes and getting me a prescription that worked correctly and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. Fatima helped me find a set of frames that I liked and fit my budget, she explained how the the glasses would help and how to use them properly and also made sure that what I had selected would work for me at work. Fatima made the experience much better and really helped make the whole experience smooth and hassle free. Great people, friendly environment, clean store, I couldn't recommend them more. read more

My experience here was nothing short of splendid! I called on a Sunday afternoon and spoke to a very friendly voice, Fatima to only be scheduled 30 minutes later with an appointment for my kids eye exams. When I walked in, it was easy paperwork and even better service offered from all three of the staff there. Especially impressive was Ryan, the physician/OD on duty. He handled the kids so well, made it fun and did it all with a very good demeanor... I would definitely go again for all my eye related needs and recommend it to a friend or two... read more

I had a great experience with this Pearle Vision. I went 2 months ago to get new contact lenses. The receptionist was very friendly and I liked their hours since they're open til 7pm. The doctor was kind and explained things very thoroughly- I did not feel rushed at all. The doctor recommended that I switch to monthly lenses (I've used yearly's for the past 15 years!!) so I decided to do it. He gave me a free trial pair of monthlies and told me to take my time to decide if I liked the lenses or not. So awesome! I called them 3 days later to order a years worth and they were ready for pick up a couple days later. So I was very annoyed because 2 of my lenses tore!! UGH!!! One tore in my eye and I don't know how the other one tore. Well anyways, I called them to complain about the quality of the lenses and really didn't expect anything from them (I mean that's not their fault, it's the manufacturer's fault) but they called me back and they gave me 2 sets of lenses! AWESOME!!!!!!!! I really recommend this location! read more

Currently writing this from the parking lot of the Aurora/ Naperville location. I am currently on the phone with the corporate office, again. February 7th I received an eye exam from Dr. Dunning. Who did not wash his hands upon physically examining my eyes resulting in giving me pink eye. I went to my primary care physician and received treatment. I spoke with corporate who suggested I speak with Dr. Fazal who will be able to address this issue. I meet with her today, to which she stated "what do you want me to do?". Needless to say I will not be returning to this location, and I am DEEPLY disappointed with the hygiene and professionalism of this location. Please! Take your money to another location and if you can help it do NOT get examined by Dr. Dunning or Dr. Fazal! read more

The Dr is a close family friend and he is always extremely nice during my appointments. The manager, Fatima, is probably the rudest and most condescending person I have ever met in my life. Always gives me the worst attitude. Treats me like I'm stupid. She even took a personal phone call while I was waiting to be checked out and she was even being extremely rude to whoever was on the phone with her. Not to mention I was in a hurry to leave. I hate to see such rude customer service make a great dr like dr dunning get such bad reviews. Hopefully they fire her soon, even though shes been there for a long time. Stay away! No customer service skills what so ever! I purchased glasses from them and the frames are defective. I've had to go back in the store numerous times to have the screws tightened in the frame but they keep coming loose again. I was told by the manager, Fatima that I will have to pay $50 to have the frames replaced even though the frames are defective! She is rude and has no customer service skills. I will never step foot in a Pearle Vision again! There customer service team is of no help either. The said it is the store managers decision what to do or not do for their customers. So, I guess Pearle Vision has no regards to how their stores are run or how their store managers treat their customers. I don't care who owns the store, its still Pearle Visions business! I take customer service very serious especially for something as serious as my vision. I visited a Pearle Center at a different location a couple years back. I wasn't impressed by their service or selection. I'm so glad I tried a different store this time. Super friendly staff from the moment I walked in. My appointment was with Dr. Fazal. She was so helpful, professional,easy going and friendly. Had an exam for glasses and contacts. They had a big selection of gorgeous frames. Dr. Fazal was patient while showing me the process of putting in and removing contacts. I'm looking forward to going back to pick up my order. I would give this place less than one star if possible. I went to them for an emergency pair of lenses. I'm visiting from out of state and wasn't able to get a hold of my doctor and called them to make an appointment. Thankfully, as I was about to make the appointment, my doctor called me and agreed to phone in my prescription. I was charged $25 for one lens (which by the way the doctors get for free as they are trial lenses). Given the choice I would have gone to Spex on 75th, unfortunately they did not have my prescription in stock. The lady I spoke with at Pearl Vision is Fathima and she is very rude. She told me if it were up to her she would not have given me the lens. Well, Fathima, as I said to you when I stopped by to pick up my lens, thankfully it's not up to you and if I had a choice I'd have gone elsewhere. Most optometrists understand these things happen and are more than willing to help out another doctors patient. I find it strange that this office was reluctant to do so. My doctor was surprised that I was charged so much for what is considered a trial lens. Also, they charged my credit card under 'miscellaneous' and did not ring up the charge as one for a lens. Because apparently they are unable to do so. read more

With my history in customer service I make it a serious point to be nice to people who work in customer service and give them the benefit of the doubt. While my initial prescription check up was fine, it was their last appointment of the day, so they rushed the contacts appointment that I had combined with my check up. The doctor just gave me contact samples to try at home, instead of doing the full contact lens fitting exam that they charged me and my insurance for! I was told by the doctor to order if I liked them or come back if I had any issues with them. When I tried them at home, they weren't as clear as I was used to, so I went back and told a different doctor the situation. She seemed very annoyed with my questions about why the contact lenses weren't as clear, and did some very quick prescription checks and raised my prescription reading further in both eyes even though I had just had a prescription appointment a week ago at their office. She also kept pressuring me to order the contact lenses even though I was already uncomfortable that she had raised my prescription without thorough tests. CUSTOMER CARE IS VERY IMPORTANT! I unfortunately stare @ a computer screen all day long for work and I felt my vision being strained and I wanted to check my eyes today to make certain I was not in need of glasses or some sort of medical attention by my Physician. I started out by searching google and I reached out to the local Vision Works (with-in my insurance group) located in Fox Valley Mall and unfortunately for me I was sadly not impressed by the assistance and promptness from Jessica (Receptionist) and whomever was the on Duty Mgr. here regarding questions and concerns I needed answered in a timely fashion before I committed to this location. I then was told by a co/worker to try the local Pearl Vision. WOW! Nite & Day! When reaching out to Pearl Vision in Naperville on Rt 59 I received a young lady on the other end named Unaiza and I was taken care of immediately by phone, just by providing my Ins information and such, I knew exactly what to expect upon my arrival here @ Pearl Vision and when I arrived I was promptly politely greeted and seen by Dr. Dunning in a matter of minutes. Great guy and he assisted with all my concerns and educated me on why certain things were occurring with my vision and even addressed some old wise tells too. I later was assisted by Carla (Karla) and she was very helpful with assisting me with picking new frames for my new lenses and she listened to my wishes and concerns and wasn't pushy al the least, but suggestive and folks like me really appreciate folks like these three I've encountered and assisted by this late afternoon. I would like to bring this to attention of those that resort to sites like YELP & GOOGLE and I want to inform all that I was treated like a valued customer and sincerely dealt with today as one would like to be treated!! Maya and Madeline were both incredibly thoughtful and helpful. I worked with Madeline, who was tireless in helping me find a pair that fit my funny face. They called me with updates, rushed an order since I was leaving town, and took no shortcuts to make sure that my frames fit well. read more

A quick note - I NEVER write reviews because I am very easy to please and an easy going person... so, the fact that I am taking a few minutes to write this is totally out of the box for me, but goes to show how horribly disgusted I was with this place. This location is a complete joke. A little background on my visit... I purchased two pairs of glasses from them.. Spent $500ish total. In my case this kind of money is s splurge and I feel like since I am spending this kind of money I should get top notch customer service. Sadly, this is not the case in this location. Like others mentioned, the receptionist (general manager in my case) was horrible to work with. She screams when she speaks and is totally rude. A smile goes a long way, but that wasn't happening with her! I have been in numerous times and every time they are under staffed. The first time my visit was interrupted so the GM could help train someone on the computer. The second visit I was in the process of ordering glasses and the gal stopped and helped another customer who walked in to pick up glasses. When you pick up glasses you need to be fitted, etc so you can imagine how long I had to wait. Not to mention I was on my lunch break so this was a huge inconvenience. They told me my glasses would be done in a few days.. I continued to call and check in and the receptionist said they were having trouble fitting the lenses into the frames. A week later my glasses were finally done. I had to go back a few times for adjustments and every time I walked in it was like I was a total nuisance. They didn't want to help.. they acted like I was the worst customer ever to walk in. No customer should feel like that, especially considering the amount of money I spent. My glasses still weren't adjusted correctly so I called the Bolingbrook location and oh my gosh- it was like a breath of fresh air walking into their office. The people working were dressed in suits and dress clothes, the office is nice and bright, and they were eager to help. Also, the office was crazy busy and I didn't have to wait for one second nor did they give me attitude when I walked in the door. The Naperville office needs a complete overhaul. It is dark and dingy and it certainly reflects in the attitudes of those who work there. I will NEVER go back. Do yourself a favor and drive to the Bolingbrook location on Weber Rd... it's worth it. read more

I needed glasses quickly, so I went here. While the overall experience was good, the quality of the glasses is extremely poor. I already have scratches covering my lenses and I have only had them for 1 month. My last pair of glasses lasted 3 years and I never had any issues with the lenses. I am extremely disappointed and will now have to go elsewhere to purchase lenses for my glassses at my own expense. read more

Unfortunately, if there were an option for zero stars that is what my rating would have to be. The customer service is awful. Never in the 40 years I have been wearing glasses have I ever had a problem with purchasing glasses until trying the Pearle Vision on Rt. 59 in Naperville. Paying attention to what I needed was second to the other people looking around. My first pair of glasses came back and I could not read or see in the 0-3ft range. I brought them back and again tried to explain what has happening and was told "this is what you should expect with reading glasses" except my prescription change was minor and the three pair previous were perfect. The only difference was that I went to this Pearle. Reluctantly the manager took the glasses back and because my insurance covered it agreed to remake the lenses. Again, I stressed how I have never had to move my head from side to side to see, how I can see the GPS without glasses but with my new ones it is blury. The second pair came back (I was told they gave me a "cheaper" lens) and I still could not read. After bringing them back again and being there an hour I was told they would call me back that afternoon once my insurance company was contacted. A week went by and no call back. I finally reached out and was told "we have been very busy, if you want us to remake the glasses it will cost you another $100". What is troubling is that after weeks of explaining what was wrong and going thru having my glasses remade once they now knew how to make the lenses. The manager and optometrist were both incredibly rude. I have paid over $300 for a pair of glasses that I can't see out of. Just not fair or a good way of doing business. read more

Have a disabled nephew who was served very well by the Pearle Vision in Burr Ridge a couple of months ago. Unfortunately he accidently sat on his glasses and broke the frames to the point of no repair. Today at the Naperville store, store manager, Fatima, provided excellent customer service from start to finish. She went out of her way to the back room to find a frame that might work with his still intact thick lenses. That success was followed by an expert and timely resizing and installation by the technician. Fatima provides an appreciated discount, all this making the entire visit painless and a good value. I have gone to Pearl Vision for years for 1 reason only, Dr. Dunning. He is an amazing and very knowledgable doctor. I have eye issues and feel that he knows what is best for me. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the rest of the staff. For starters the receptionist is completely rude and unprofessional. She makes up prices on what to charge you; it's whatever she feels like depending on what kind of mood she is in.. And it's usually not good. Dr. Fazal is also someone who is extremely rude to patients. I have actually walked our of an appointment with her and chose to reschedule with dr. Dunning. After years of this service I have chosen to go elsewhere. One great doctor is no longer good enough to deal with other the other people who work there. Oh and to leave and retrieve your records, the receptionist makes up a # in her head on what to charge you for them! Had enough! Would not recommend this location! read more
