Let me start this off with a little back story, my 5 year old is TERRIFIED of eye doctors. When he was 3.5 I had to take him to the doctor and they had to put drops in his eyes and do a bunch of tests and it was a traumatic thing for him. Fast forward to now, he needed a kindergarten eye exam. On top of his issues, I also have extreme fear of germs and going into public spaces right now is a big thing for me. I panicked for a week, calling different places, but I heard great things about this place so I chose to come here. BEST. DECISION. EVER. The staff was SO NICE as soon as we walked through the door. They immediately put me and my son at ease. It was ridiculously clean, I saw employees using hand sanitizer multiple times. Everything was covered in plastic. The doctor was AMAZING with my son. She explained everything, kept him talking so he wasn't focused too much on what was being done. It was quick and there were no tears. She explained everything to me and him afterwards. What I thought was going to be a horrible experience turned out to be a very positive one. If you're looking for kind and patient people, this is the place for you! read more

Couture Vision - My son wearing some cool glasses. - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

UPDATE: This comment is really reaching: "After being debriefed on those conversations and reviewing the email threads, I wasn't surprised to see this review, even though you are not a patient of ours." I still have those emails. They are professional and positive--with the exception of the last email I sent where I expressed displeasure of the way I was treated. Gaslighting isn't a good look. Your attempt to discredit me speaks volumes. As does the overly long explanation. Methinks the good doc doth protest too much. read more

Finding the right team to care for my eyes, let alone my family's, is no easy task. Dr. Klover takes the time to get the right fit for your eyes, and that attention to detail makes me feel much more at ease. Couture Vision has the feel of a small boutique shop in downtown Naperville with none of the boujee-ness associated with shops like this. They are friendly, patient, and kind here. read more

I am writing this for 2 or 3 years ago. This store in order to push sales, told us that we can get free exams and glasses. We pay first then to claim money from our insurance. We spent over $1600 for the glasses, then waiting from them to get insurance's check, we visited them several times, but never got paid. It has been almost 3 years past, we are still waiting. We know it was Actually a lie, it was their tricks to push sales. The place people was ok before, but looks wired now, does not looks like normal people. Will not come back to visit anymore. read more

Amazing great selection of glasses, start to finish the greatest team they always have a smile, very pleasant and helpful. I always recommend them! read more

My husband and I have been loyal patients to this wonderful Optometrist (Dr. Black OD) office in Downtown Napervillle....for years! Why go here, with so many discount Optometrists to choose from? 1. They take exceptional care of you, and your eyesight. Exams are very thorough and precise. They do not rush this key element of caring for your eyesight. They are there for you. 2. The staff is extremely helpful and productive. They will give you the best price, and have your contacts/glasses/sunglasses make with the highest quality. 3. The options for styles of glasses blow my mind!Something for everyone: Modern, Classic, Trendy, or Simple. The craftsmanship in making you glasses is priceless. 4. Couture Vision has your best interest in mind. They don't up-sell, pressure you, or hover. They are quite classy. I love this place. Parking can be tricky, however there is a free parking lot behind the store that is quite convenient. Thank you Couture Vision for your ethical, transparent, and superb work! Couture Vision - Love this office! - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

I love Couture vision. It's located in the heart of downtown Naperville. Friendly and professional assistance. They also have a lot of patience for newbies at learning how to put on contacts. We like the optimist Dr. Kori Klover! She is thorough and amazing. read more

There are a few things I want yo clarify. There is a difference between being sarcastic and being condescending. The associate was extremely condescending. Also, I was emotionally checked out already after the interaction that nothing offered to help the situation wasn't going to change my mind. I do appreciate the follow-up. read more

A great place to go visit your professional, fair, talented good prices covered my insurance plan VSP I recommend everybody go there and their LGBTQ friendly. read more

The absolute best of the best around the Chicagoland area. I have been coming to Couture Vision for approximately five years now. I have seen both doctors Black and Klover. My most recent examinations have been with Dr. Klover. She is absolutely meticulous in detail. With a history of two eye surgeries, I imagine some of my needs are more complex than that of other patients. I have been fitted with both glasses and contact lenses at this location. The doctor's determination to find the absolute best solution is unparalleled. Most importantly, of all the optometrists and ophthalmologists that I've seen over the years, Dr. Klover takes the time to really explain what is going on and why patients are experiencing some of the symptoms that they are going through. She is truly caring towards her patients and passionate about her profession. I'm fortunate to have such an amazing team of doctors so close to home! read more

Had a fantastic experience here. I have a lot of eye issues, including glaucoma and a retinal tear and I have been at sea since my old optometrist closed up shop. I had read some good reviews and thought I'd give them a try. I am so glad I did. I truly got one of the most thorough eye exams I've ever experienced. Lots of help with questions and eye glasses selection, too. Dr. Klover and her staff were kind and very helpful and made the experience start to finish a pleasure. Highly recommend you check them out! read more

This was my first time going here for an exam and I have to say I've never had a better dr for my eyes before!! She literally understood my concerns and tried many different options to make sure she got my Rx as perfect as possible. I will be a patient of hers forever. read more

I've been going to Couture Vision since 2017 for eye exams and have never had any billing or other issues until today. If you have eye vision insurance please do not go there. They are considered out of network with Metlife Vision, VSP and you have to pay the full amount up front and get a very small check back. Go to an in network dr if you have eye insurance and your eye exam will be fully covered. I paid $191 for my exam and will get only $50 back from my provider through a check. Also their support staff is rude, disrespectful and would blame you the client if they cannot find your details. I also detected a sense of bias when one of the staff told me it's a legal issue because my husband's name which is long was not fully shown in their profile. This is after my husband has been there for years and they have filed insurance claims in the past under that name. They send you online forms to complete and make some sections mandatory and others not mandatory. When you don't complete the 'not required' sections they say it's your fault that you had to spend over an hr to get billing issues resolved. Also they say they can bill your medical insurance but it's counted as part of your deductible rather than a copay. So if you have not met your deductible expect to pay full eye exam fees. Dr. Black I appreciate your response but I want to clarify when Couture Vision was still in network with my vision plan, I paid only $75 for my comprehensive eye exam. read more

Dr. Black and his team are the best at what they do. Dr. Black took his time and explain all the things he saw within my exam and my daughters exams. His team helped my oldest pick out some very nice frames. I would definitely recommend you see Dr.Black for all Your vision needs! read more

Read this review if you want to understand why going to a local eyeglass store is better than a chain... Katie at Couture Vision saved my wedding! I bought eyeglasses at Couture few years ago. One of the temples was severely bent (I likely rolled on them one evening after falling asleep reading). Clearly my fault and the glasses were out of warranty. I went into the store three weeks before my wedding to order new temples for my glasses. I did not realize at the time the replacement temples were being shipped from Italy. One week before my wedding the replacement temples had not arrived and now bent temple actually broke off. Katie provided me regular updates on the shipping status but when she heard my glasses broke she physically went to their other stores to find suitable parts until my replacement temples arrived from Italy. She also spoke to her local Ray Ban representative to see if he could help. Ultimately, Katie found temples that would fit my glasses for me to use on loan. Katie and Couture went above and beyond to help me in a time sensitive situation. When we buy eyeglasses so often we just think of the cost of the transaction and fail to recognize the value of a local relationship and the likelihood of Murphy's Law happening post-purchase. A national chain would not have gone to the lengths to support me as Katie did three years after I purchased my glasses. This is why I will continue to support Couture Vision and hope my story inspires you to do so as well. read more

I haven't gotten my glasses yet... But in the meantime, I found Dr Black to be very friendly and informative. The exam was as expected for an eye exam. He was very prompt. The office is conveniently located in downtown Naperville a short walk from the garage or street parking. It's bright, cheery and clean. His office staff was friendly and helpful. They have an exceptional selection of designer frames to choose from. Almost to to point of being overwhelming. I would certainly recommend. read more

Dr. Black diagnosed me with glaucoma. Scared me. He referred me to an ophthalmologist to double check. The ophthalmologist said I did NOT have glaucoma. Quite a relief. read more

Today I had my first visit to Couture vision. Both Hector and Dr Black were lovely to me. I was seen promptly and assessed throughly. Explanations were clear and appropriate and I did not feel rushed or like I was 'just another' patient. I felt really looked after with advice on both eye care and style selection - they listened to exactly what I was requesting. So - all round a hidden gem! A lovely experience with super staff. THANKYOU! read more

This is the first time in my WHOLE life that I've had a wonderful experience at the eye doctor! Dr. Kori Klover at Couture Vision is professional, caring, committed and down right awesome! She took the time to explain every detail and did not rush my experience! She and her team (especially Danielle)at Couture Vision are passionate about each customer and it showed! A customer walked in to pick up her glasses and Danielle treated her with such enthusiasm it was great to see. The customer was excited & greatly satisfied with her selection(s). Just went in for my yearly eye exam with Dr. Black. Nothing short of fabulous as always. He has another location in Bolingbrook that he works at as well. Very easy to talk to and gives sound advice on what to look out for down the road. Framewear isn't cheap, but because of how stylish they are and the build quality being so good, you get what you pay for. Haven't expreienced the other doctor yet, but based on the reviews, I can't see anybody going wrong going here. read more

Very happy with my decision to head to Couture Vision! Dr. Black is super friendly, knowledgeable, informative, and confident in his work. He was quick with the exam but not rushed, very thorough, and made sure I had no questions before heading out to pick my frames. He recapped his findings so that I understood what was going on with my eye health. Hector assisted me in getting the most awesome frames for my regular glasses. He was honest with what looked good and what wasn't working. He picked some awesome sun glasses for me, too. He made sure I was happy with what I chose and didn't rush me or seem bored - I had fun! The young lady there, I do not know her name, was friend and gave her opinions, too! Would no doubt go back and have already recommended to some other people. read more

This place was awesome! I hadn't had an eye exam in some time, and I'm so glad I chose this place! Dr. Adam Black is one of the friendliest doctors I've encountered... he has a great thing going in this shop :) The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and you can tell they really enjoy working there. Dr. Klover did my eye exam, and she was a joy to work with... very sweet and friendly, and she made me feel at ease the whole time. It was so hard to choose among all the fantastic pairs of glasses too! I got my pair today and I love them :) Thank you Dr. Black and the whole team! read more

I had an appointment today with Dr. Klover. Dr. Klover was great. She was nice, very thorough and informative. There were two ladies at the front desk. I don't remember their names, but only one was helpful. The best way to describe them was one had curly hair the other had braids. I was checking out, and I was asking about pricing and what my insurance covers and doesn't cover for frames. The woman with the curly hair had a nasty attitude and kept saying she didn't know. She was getting flustered trying to help me and another woman, but wasn't friendly. I decided to make it easy and just pay out of pocket, since she seemed incompetent, and deal with my insurance later. I asked what would it cost to pay out of pocket for the frames and lenses. Once again, she didn't know anything and didn't want to help. Luckily, the woman with braids came over and assisted me and explained everything. I'd given this place 5 stars if I had not dealt with that woman read more

Dr. Black is professional, friendly and informative. The staff is also helpful in picking out the best frames for you, answering questions and scheduling appointments. I had to find a new eye doctor after moving to the area and the first place I went too was a large office and a big disappointment. I am so glad I decided to look elsewhere because I found Dr. Blacks office. The location is prime, I like that I can park in the parking garage and walk right in and the overall feeling is homey and comfortable. I also commend Dr. Black on his dedication to his clients working extended hours to make sure everyone can fit a visit into their busy schedules. Highly recommend Couture Vision! read more

I found this business on Yelp. I had no prior knowledge of this great business, but took a chance and fell in love with the layout of the store, Dr. Black himself, and his amazing and fabulous staff! Rebecca and Tracy helped me pick out 2 pairs of bold and gorgeous frames! My visit with Dr. Black was through and warm! I felt he really was interested in MY eyes!!! My ordered glasses came in within 4 days!!! Tracy helped me to get them to fit my face, perfectly! I love this business and you will too! Amazing group of caring professionals!!! read more

I found him. I saw Dr. Black when he practiced downtown at one of those chain stores. He was cool, but the frames selection sucked (as do at most of those chain stores--all the frames are always picked over...). This place now has the best of both worlds!!!!!!! read more

Great service and great frame selections! Enjoy Keurig K-cup coffee/tea while you wait.

Dr. Black was super professional. I had great service. The girl working helped me find glasses that l am really happy with.

We bought my son's new glasses at this downtown Naperville location due to the fact that it accepted our VSP (vision/glasses) insurance. We had gone to our family eye doctor for the prescription but didn't want to order glasses from him as they weren't included in VSP coverage. Cory was very helpful and patient with us as we explored glasses for the first time for our son. My son is super happy with the look of the glasses- and has received lots of compliments on them! The feel of this place is low key, no pressure- just super helpful in finding the right pair for you. read more

I received a routine exam from Dr. Black and was very impressed with the level of service and technology in his office. I've worn glasses for 14 years. Been to several chain and local places, and finally, after so much time I found the perfect doctor. Dr. Black is absolutely great. I spent about an hour with him and asked so many questions. He is knowledgeable, kind and genuine. He really cares about his patients. I love this place and as long as I live here, this will be my go to. The selection of glasses is unlike anything I've ever seen. I've been going to Couture Vision for 3 almost 4 years now! Dr. Black is always amazing and very helpful and now the edition of Dr. Klover in the Naperville office is amazing! Quick and easy appointments, and the doctors are always very informative and explain things well to patients. On top of that they have always been very helpful with working with my insurance. Even though I only go in at most 3-4 times a year for appointments or picking up contacts, etc. I still feel like I get personalized care. read more
