I've been going to Eye Boutique and specifically Dr. Lisa Spevacek since I had Lasik surgery about 15 years ago. The facility is clean and the staff is on top of everything and friendly. Dr. Lisa doesn't keep you waiting for your appointment and is thorough throughout her examination. This visit I needed reading glasses for the first time and since I have bifocal Lasik, meaning one eye as farsided and one eye is nearsighted, I needed to get prescription reading glasses. Joy, Taylor and Alice spent so much time helping me pick out the right pair. By the time I was done I had glasses everywhere from trying on so many, but they were pleasant in making me feel comfortable that I made such a mess because I was indecisive. Luckily the girls picked the right pair for me and I went with their suggestion. I definitely recommend Dr. Lisa and Eye Boutique for examinations and contacts or stylish glasses. read more

I was looking for a highly rated, affordable option for an Optometrist that accepts patients without a Vision Plan and Eye Boutique was suggested! Everyone here was so welcoming and helpful. Brandi was especially helpful with my eyeglass order, and she thoroughly explained the discounts applied to the order, each option for the eyewear, etc! Dr. Spevacek was knowledgeable, timely, and professional during the exam, and answered all of my questions! If I can save one person that is reading this review, I will be thankful. Do not go to this place for an eye exam, please find yourself a real independent eye doctor for your eye exam. The employees really don't care about you, they just want to gossip and get through their day. They will randomly cancel your appointments. Overall, it really is toxic and if you can avoid going here I would encourage you to find an independent eye doctor. read more

Dr Spevacek is excellent- have seen her for years and have had good luck with in-house adjustments on my glasses . Our issues seem to be with the lab since the practice was bought by a larger enterprise- have had issues with lost lenses and now a broken frame which was not replaced or credited in any way . Will likely continue to see the Dr but will be reticent about ordering frames from them . Hopefully this will be resolved in the future read more

It's been almost FIVE WEEKS and we are still waiting for daughter's glasses! I was just told it would be another two weeks at least. Maybe three. They have never once updated us on the delay. I broke my favorite pair of glasses shortly before leaving for an extended business trip. Taylor not only found a short-term solution to the broken glasses but quickly got me an eye appointment, helped me choose a new pair of replacement glasses that I liked as much as the first and arranged for them to be expedited as soon as the prescription was ready, even though it was her day off. I've been coming here since I was a teenager. I got my first pair of contact lenses here (bless the woman who sat with me for an hour as I struggled to get my lenses in) and our family has given them truckloads of our money because we are blessed with bad eyeball genes. That ends today. I was back in town for the holidays when I experienced rapid deterioration of vision in one eye. I called up the Eye Boutique to ask if they could squeeze me in somewhere today, or even take down my number in case someone cancels last minute. I was told no. I asked if they could refer me to another optometrist in the area. I was told to go to a specialist. I understand if you are booked but you can't even pretend to take down my number in case of a cancellation or tell me the name of another optometrist? The optometrist is a very kind woman who has always done a good job. But I refuse to deal with front desk staff who are so inflexible that they cannot accommodate someone who is experiencing rapid vision loss in one eye. Goodbye. read more

Not a great variety of styles at this place (my mother and I, who were both looking for glasses, went here after For Eyes to see if there was anything we liked better but ended up going back to the first place; Eye Boutique seemed to have a focus on those oblong, wide hipstery frames, whereas For Eyes had a broader range of styles and shapes to pick from). Also, a big boo because my mother and I were in there for 15-20 minutes looking at things, trying frames on etc. and NO ONE said anything to us. Not hello, didn't ask if we needed help, etc. They were slightly busy initially but it cleared out shortly thereafter, so a bunch of staff would have free to interact again. That just leaves me cold; I would have been reluctant to spend money there based on that first impression, but since there was little other than blocky plastic frames to pick from it was a moot point anyway and we pushed on. If you come here you'd better be a hipster with a wide face who doesn't mind minimal customer service. read more

My family of four had been going here for the last 10 years, getting an eye exam and either glasses or contacts each year. Earlier this year I broke my pair of glasses and went in to get a copy of my prescription so I could order a new pair of glasses online; the receptionist at the front told me I could not order glasses online. I explained I've ordered multiple times before, but she insisted I could not. I told her I'd like my prescription and she refused to give it to me since I "was not allowed to order glasses online since it's not safe." I don't know what world these people are living in but in 2013, consumers are using the internet and yes, some are ordering glasses online too. Telling customers that they can't or that it's not safe is simply ignorant. I finally got my prescription and went to Target, realized the prices are about 75% lower everywhere else. Also, after getting a second opinon, realized that they have NEVER CONDUCTED GLAUCOMA TEST. Every year they wrote that I "refused the exam" neither me or anyone in our family has ever known about it. read more

I went in to the Naperville location last minute before the year ended to use my vision benefit and get prescription sunglasses. I planned to just get a prescription update and buy the sunglasses somewhere else... The women working there were super helpful and were never pushy in showing me what options Eye Boutique had to offer. I really liked a Ray Ban frame that Eye Boutique did not currently carry so I asked if they could special order it. Not only were they able to special order exactly what I wanted; the price with my vision benefit was literally 1/5 of what I was quoted IN NETWORK somewhere else .... Amazing customer service, selection, and prices. I am now a customer for life! read more

I rarely give a negative review, but after two bad experiences with Eye Boutique's billing practices, I can't give them a good one. While their optometrist on staff is perfectly fine (all we've needed have been standard eye exams), their office staff is horrible. Twice, I have had my claims (and we are covered for these exams) denied. Once, I could understand, and that was easily rectified by a call to the insurance company. The second time, however, has been extremely suspect. I received a call saying that my claim had been denied (verified this with insurance), but that they would be unable to resubmit it because it had been more than 30 days since the appointment (verified with the insurance company that this was NOT true). So, either they're lying or extremely inept. I spoke with my insurance provider and found out what the problem was (there was a code missing from the claim). I called the Eye Boutique and explained what was missing (they claim they are not given a reason for denial, not sure if that's true or not, though seems questionable), their office staffer said, "What's that?" Now, I could be mistaken, but I would assume that if it's something an insurance company requires on a claim, it's something an office staff should be familiar with. She offered to call their corporate office to find out, but if they can't answer the question, I will AGAIN have to call my insurance company and find out, which seems like I'm doing a job someone else should be doing. We will not be returning to the Eye Boutique for any future needs. read more

I just visited Eye Boutique. The optometrist was very nice and took her time explaining to me what she was doing. Made me feel very comfortable. The techs in the office were very patient with when I couldn't decided what frames i wanted, when i wanted to know what coverage i had and the options I had. When i called the office they were quick to answer all of my questions and concerns. read more

I recently had an eye exam at this location and was very disappointed in the customer service provided by the staff. The Dr was very polite but that is the only positive comment I can make about this place. One of the people that works there even got loud because I wanted to order my contacts online vs buying from them. After pushing their contacts on me I gave in to buy from them but they had none in stock so had to order them and wouldn't ship it to my house without charging me $10 for shipping. read more

My 18-year-old visited this office alone, her first time without parent accompany. With insurance, she still paid rocket-high price for lens picked by her doctor plus the fitting fee that we've never been charged before. I am very disappointed that the doctor's office still need adulthood at the scene to get their young patient treated fairly. So I called to cancel the transaction, and then they called my daughter she must pay the $40 fitting fee. I wear contact lens more than 30 years and order contact lens for my two children in the past 6 years, but I've never ever asked to pay the fitting fee. I called the office again asking about where the fitting fee comes from if the contact lens not arrive yet? Then they called my daughter again asking her to return the sunglasses they gave her. Now I can see where the force sale comes from. My 18-year-old pays her lens from her own saving, $18/hour tutoring outside of heavy high-school life. It is sad and angry to see her being taken advantage. I will never come to this office and will tell everyone I know to not visit this office. If this office wants to be profitable, they need to learn to be kind and with integrity. read more
