Best eye care I've ever had, hands down! Everyone there is super friendly, helpful and makes you feel welcome. I had Dr. Ronald Weisgart for my exam, who I highly recommend. I had a car accident several months ago that left me with many issues including a severe concussion and whiplash. I have had problems with my vision, vestibular system, proprioception, and Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction etc .. Everyone, from the person who I scheduled with to the vision tech to the optometrist, was so friendly and professional.

I went to Scott Eye Care last year. Either my prescription or glasses were wrong. I had to go elsewhere to purchase other glasses so that I could see. Today I found out that they automatically made me an appointment for this week and authorized my insurance without my permission. I had no idea that they had done so until I was contacted by my insurance provider. I never had any intention of going back there because of my poor experience and had opted out of their text messages. The fact that they would do all of this without my express permission gives you a good reason to avoid them. read more

Got my prescription terribly wrong and when I went back to fix they wanted to charge me and spent about an hour discussing why I should not be paying for that. I have been getting eye prescriptions all my life and this the first place where something like this happened. Won't be coming back at all! read more

Absolutely horrible service. it's been 5 weeks, and I still don't have my glasses. The lab screwed up my order - twice - and because of that, they offered to give me a pair of lenses for free, I just had to purchase the frames. Even after all that, I still don't have my first pair of glasses that I ordered (and spent over $500 for, even with insurance) . And then, they don't even call me to tell me that there are issues with my order - they make me call them. HORRIBLE! AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! read more

My family has been going to Scott Eye Care for over four years. We are so grateful for their services- they are all experts and explain everything thoroughly. They have worked patiently with my special-needs son, and once when I went to have my eyes checked due to a severe headache Dr. Vasana realized that I had a serious medical condition that required immediate attention. The office is comfortable, the high-tech equipment is efficient, but what I like most is that these doctors actually take the time to listen to our concerns and make sure they are getting the prescriptions correct by using several different testing methods. I have to say I was completely disappointed in my most recent visit. I have been wearing contacts and glasses for over ten years...In ten years I've never been asked to pay more than my $10 copay for a exam. I was completely caught off gaurd when I was told after the exam it costs $225 for a contact eye exam. If you're planning to charge $225 out of pocket for an exam, it's probably best for you to tell someone upfront. Please be aware of their high prices...because I wasn't. read more

Really nice staff. State of the art equipment. They took their time to answer all my questions and when I went to look for glass the staff helped me choose a pair. I've been here twice, once for a routine exam and the second to be refitted for contacts (I wanted to switch brands and needed to be refitted). The first routine exam went okay. I purchased a pair of Kate Spade glasses, which I've had to take up there a dozen times to have tweaked, they became loose after about two months. Next, the dr. talked me into switching contact lens brands. I went from Air Optix Night & Day to Biofinity. I trusted his opinion and he was very determined to switch me over. I agreed and hated the contacts. They try to have you order contacts from them which is literally so over priced. You're much better off getting your prescription and going online. I came back several months later, reluctantly, to be re-fitted for contacts. After what should have been a 20 minute visit, I was there over an hour. I had to almost debate and argue my way into requesting the original contacts that I liked. I was paying for them! I told her what brand I wanted, they didn't have those in stock, so had me try a different pair. Again, to just get out of there I said okay. As the dr came in to confirm, I again (!) had to convince her and debate why I wanted these contacts. I've been wearing contacts for over 10 years. After an annoying hour I got my prescription (after they tried making me order them) and I was on my way. Later, when I went to order the contacts, inconveniently, they wrote the wrong diameter number on my script, hindering me from purchasing them. On to another eye doctor. read more

I have been going to Scott Eye Care for 8 years and I highly recommend them. They do a very thorough job during your exam. They have very high tech machines to test for various things using a non-invasive approach. You can opt to not have your eyes dilated, yet still have a test where the doctor will be able to see the back of your eye. It is an additional charge, but you're able to see normally and don't have to wait to drive. They are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for..quality service! They are also willing to work with you. They want to make sure things are correct and that you leave happy. If you have any issues, you can bring it to their attention and they will do the best they can to get it rectified. I would definitely recommend Scott Eye Care to my friends & family! read more

Both my husband and I go to Scott Eye Care now. They were VERY thorough and truly care about your eyes. Not only did I learn more about my eyes (I also did the wellness exam), but we talked about overall health/vitamins/foods that effects our eyes (which I loved!). I've never had an eye dr. spend so much time with me and explain so much in the 35 yrs. that I have worn glasses. The entire staff was helpful and kind. Dr Chula is awesome. Seeing her to hopefully correct my son's strabismus with vision therapy. Traditional ophthalmologist's treatment was not helping, glasses were only getting stronger, and we were only heading towards eye surgery. Dr Chula is very patient and kind (my son was 3 at beginning of treatment), exams are long and thorough. She's progressively prescribed at-home therapy. There isn't a guarantee that COVD will work but it's our only hope to avoid surgery (helps eyes appearance but doesn't help eyes work together, and is surgery = inherently dangerous). It's a shame treatment isn't covered by insurance in the US because it is in Europe. It's unbelievable that she's in Oswego IL - there are only a handful of these types of ophthalmologists in the US. Very nice facility. In the past, staff wasn't always very friendly but something seems to have changed and even the crankiest have become more customer service oriented-thankfully. read more

They have State of the Art equipment and are very thorough with the eye exams, unfortunately some of the equipment test are not covered by my HMO; however they did let me know beforehand including how much it would cost. Their staff has always been very nice and courteous; even when I was being a pain. I have never felt rushed by the Dr's, and the Dr's have always been very nice and informative. read more
