From the location on Route 34, round the corner, he gave me my first pair of hard contacts and then my first pair of soft contacts. The new location out on Templeton is so beautiful and comfortable. Now, he doesn't do it all by himself. Oh no. They ladies that work there are awesome. And most of them have been there for years and years. It truly is the only place i can go to where they actually recognize me and ask after the rest of my family. I know other docs working with Dr. Hein have come and go, but he's truly the best. He's pretty matter of fact and will take the time to explain things IF YOU ASK. Otherwise, if you don't, he'll give you what you need and send you on your way. Always ask questions.

They said I had to do both. Gave them my vision and medical insurance cards. Dr was nice and glasses were reasonably price. Next exam was a month away. The day before they called and said that someone marked down I was self pay. Um no. Oh we need your insurance. No you have it and when I was in a photo of it was taken. Oh must be we are out of network then and I would have to pay the entire cost out of pocket as they wouldn't do the paperwork for me to get reimbursed. By this time wasn't going to argue so I just told her to cancel the appointment. She said ok and hung up. Went elsewhere with no issue at all. I went somewhere else and was able to get just a diabetic eye exam with no proof that I had a regular eye exam. They wasted my time. I have since dropped the vision insurance. Since I know now both eye exams are not required like this told me they were, I will go elsewhere.

I only had to wait a short time before the optometrist was able to see me. The staff was very friendly, and there was a pretty good variety of frames to browse while I was waiting. My eyes are really dry and get irritated easily so the optometrist gave me a lot of helpful tips on how to care for them better and recommended eye drop brands to check out! Will be back!

The optometrist was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and, thankfully, not at all judgmental of how I routinely punish my eyes and wear my contacts to bed disturbingly frequently. He gave me some great tips on how to give my eyes a bit of a break. Everyone was really helpful in helping me find the best deal for my contacts and glasses! Big thumbs up!

Fast forward to now, he needed a kindergarten eye exam. On top of his issues, I also have extreme fear of germs and going into public spaces right now is a big thing for me. I panicked for a week, calling different places, but I heard great things about this place so I chose to come here. BEST. DECISION. EVER. The staff was SO NICE as soon as we walked through the door. They immediately put me and my son at ease. It was ridiculously clean, I saw employees using hand sanitizer multiple times. Everything was covered in plastic. The doctor was AMAZING with my son. She explained everything, kept him talking so he wasn't focused too much on what was being done. It was quick and there were no tears. She explained everything to me and him afterwards. What I thought was going to be a horrible experience turned out to be a very positive one. If you're looking for kind and patient people, this is the place for you!

The person helping me but glasses was very nice, but was not very well trained. She went to get someone to write the correct numbers on the prescription for her.
