I showed up today for my annual eye exam and have being going to this location for years! I encountered total incompetence and was told they were not able to get authorization. This has never happened before and nothing has changed. I sat there for an hour on phone with VSP who gave the authorization to me! In essence I had to do their job for them. Then I got complete attitude because I called them out on it. These are a bunch of morons and flat out idiots! and that sassy doctor that wears the glasses and he may not even be but an assistant is the worse. His nasty, unprofessional, curt, attitude and demeanor was a complete turnoff today when I was there. And he proceeds to try and charge me when I've never paid but a measly co-pay! This nasty queen talking about $70+ dollars! I walked out and now I will be elevating it further! I will be looking up their corporate office and sending a letter of my horrible experience after all these years of going there! They will be reported to the BBB as well! Lastly, I drove an hour over here to waste my time with these clowns who could have called me at home to let me know they didn't know what they were doing and had not obtained an authorization! Three weeks ago my daughters had an eye exam with Pearle Vision and they picked out new glasses before we left. A week later their glasses were ready so we stopped by to get them and that's when we discovered that my eldest daughter's glasses didn't have the transition feature that I paid for, and they tried to get me to pay for their glasses again but I explained that I had already paid for them the last time we were here. About two weeks later I came in to see if my eldest daughter's glasses were ready and they tried to make me pay again. We are here now and they told me it would be a 30min. to an hour wait for my eldest daughter's new transition glasses. Also, the younger staff members are rude and catch attitudes anytime you have question. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

I booked an appointment for my son weeks ago. I received confirmation and I also received a call verifying his day and time. You have to enter the date of birth upon booking. I get to my appointment and they say he is too young. No one stated anything about that and if you're any type of medical/dental/vision, you should be aware and verify your clients information prior to them driving 30 minutes to come to the appointment. Very unprofessional and shows lack of verification because you can clearly see the date of birth. Vision appointments just like any other medical are hard to come by, so this is very frustrating. read more

I went here last week for an eye exam. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes with an online scheduled appointment. Everyone was very friendly. Doctor was efficient and professional. I ordered contacts with them that were ready for pickup within a few days, and they even gave me some trial boxes in case I was running low. I purchased glasses elsewhere, but they gave me a printed copy of both prescriptions which made it easy. Highly recommend. Thank you! read more

Very unhappy. They still have my glasses. I had lens replaced because one of my Gucci sunglasses were scratched, I asked for old lens back to send to Gucci. When picking up glasses they employee said, she cracked new lens when putting them in, and I would have to come back next week.. not happy but ok. Accidents happen. Next week comes and my wife picks up glasses. The following day I notice glasses or cracked in 3 spots. So, I call up to store and tell them , plus I didn't get old lens back. She said, no problem their here and bring in glasses. So i bring glasses, they dont have any more lens, nor do they have my old ones . So, now I'm still waiting on sunglasses two weeks later and no one knows where my lens are. $500 sunglasses. Very unhappy customer. read more

My recent visits to Pearle Vision in Austell, GA., were absolutely great! Two of the staff there (Maegan and Chantell) were focused on my vision problems/needs and extremely professional overall. When I had an issue with my first pair of bi-focals, Maegan scheduled me for a re-exam the very next day. I can't say enough nice things about Doctor Kow. He took the time to identify the problem and corrected it. Needless to say, I'm very happy with my second pair of bi-focals, which, by the way, were free of charge! So my husband sat on his glasses and broke the thread that held his frames in. I called ahead to make sure that they would be able to repair them. They had an Oakley repairing kit that would solve our problem. Dropped them off. Was told it was going to be an hour but they finished it in 30 mins! Five dollars to get them repaired and now my husband can see you again. Very satisfied customer! read more

Please change your store hours online! A lot of people use Yelp and other online services for store hours, directions, etc. It is heartbreaking to think you have an hour before the store closes and get there and you missed it by 2 minutes. read more

Then they tell me I can not exchange them because it was opened. Um it's not my fault you all gave me the wrong EVERYTHING! I initially went in to Pearle Vision to purchase glasses on September 10th. At that time, a pair was selected for both myself and my daughter. After a few days hers were ready. Mine, took almost 3 weeks to come in. When I first picked them, myself and the staff agreed that they were ridiculously thick. I have been wearing glasses for 35 of my 42 years of life. I know my prescription is high, but never have I had a pair this thick. The lenses were remade; again, being the same thickness. When I picked them up, the optician from another store was there. I explained to her what had been done in the past to make the lenses look thinner. She stated that had she known that; measuring the distance where the eyes sit, that she would have been able to make them better. At that time, they also stated that a different frame would spread the lenses out more. After days of waiting, I go back to pick them up. They looked 100% better than before; however, were still not what I was used to. As I stated, I never have had glasses that had that much of a coke bottle appearance. Ever. I told them I would take them home and try them out. On November 1st, I took the glasses back the Austell location. At that time, the manager Susan was out of town. She called on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 to say that I could be given a discount on the lenses to be remade. I explained to her that I shouldn't be responsible for paying for lenses that they weren't making properly. Her only suggestion was to refund the amount I paid out of picket $243.00; which would result in me losing the amount allotted for my optical insurance. Pearle Vision gives you a 30-day, no-questions-asked guarantee. They will replace, adjust, or exchange your purchase when required. A guarantee is defined as a formal promise or assurance (typically in writing) that certain conditions will be fulfilled, especially that a product will be repaired or replaced if not of a specified quality and durability. Every aspect of my 2 visits there have been positive. I received a friendly greeting both times I entered. I was helped right away both times. The doctor was professional and seemed knowledgeable. I have insurance but I also had a coupon and they worked with me so that I could get the best possible price. I have been going there for years,and I had the most bad experience with a very loud and nasty employee there.She said that even with my insurance,I have to pay a 80.00 just to look at my eye fee.Never heard of.Then she told me to take my business elsewhere.I did and that is the best advice I ever got because even at another Pearl location,I got great service and a smile and they used my insurance,and just about the whole staff made sure I could see when I left. Very disappointed with the service or lack of it. I had an experience with my polarized glasses being too big and I wasn't able to get back over there until after a month later. I wanted to exchange or get a discounted new pair. Was told I was outside of the 30 day return policy so they tried to adjust them but still too big. So to add injury to insult I received a letter 3 months later stating I still owe them $75 when I paid in full when we purchased 2 pairs back in December. It took 4 days out of my work to try and figure this out to only have Meagan and Donna to make me feel like I didn't pay in full when I kept insisting I did, finally after about 30 minutes with Donna I told her to make sure it wasn't applied wrong and that's when she discovered it had been. They weren't apologetic at all to the point my husband who is a business owner called up to chew them out for not being sensitive to me after taking up so much of my time. So I went into the store today to have my glasses adjusted again and Wanda had me to pick out some more frames and Angela spoke to Justin to see if he would be willing to swap out my glasses that I've only wore twice and he wouldn't agree to it and the discount he gave me wasn't worth anything. I just moved here from Pennsylvania. I really need a new pair of glasses and currently have insurance that Pear Vision does not accept. Due to this, after expressing my concern about needing new glasses ASAP Maegan did everything she could to make sure I was taken care of. She got me as many discounts as she possibly could since I had to pay out of pocket. No only that, the customer service that she provided to me was exceptional. Extraordinary SERVICE... Well over & beyond the Norm I am a consumer that always looks out how to save money and stretch my dollar! I walked in your store on Thursday afternoon on January 19th and never expected the kind of service I got. My glasses were trashed in my opinion and I was ready in a month to scrap them and get new ones. I am a month away from getting vision coverage at my place of work. You guys took my trashed glasses and removed a coating from them with special chemicals that restored them back to perfection!. This was a miracle to me and you guys did not even charge me a dime! I have gone to another vision center company for years and I must say this experience was far better. We saw Dr.Kow and he took his time during our exam to ensure the proper prescription. At the previous company we would have to wait two weeks but they had my daughter's prescription on sight and my reading glasses on sight as well. I had a separate prescription for distance( I didn't want progressive lenses)which took 4 days to arrive as opposed to the two weeks as mentioned. I don't think they appreciate customers at all! I have bought several pairs of glasses at this location of Pearl. The former owners were always so quick to help and stand behind their product? I guess I just became accustomed to and expected that level of service. No more. These new owners are rude and will not stand behind ANYTHING that I have seen as of my last two transactions. They hold the customer in contempt when something is not right. Let me explain....When my grand daughter recently needed glasses I talked her mother into letting me take them to Pearl. I told her, you pay more but you get what you pay for. Well I was wrong. Let me say the lady who waited on me, when I returned with an obvious factory defect in the frames was completely rude. She accused me of buying them somewhere else! When I told her I bought every pair of glasses, for every member of my family there at that location. She seriously treated me like a crook! Finally the gentleman that I think may have been the manager got involved and graciously allowed me to purchase some more frames at a 20% discount. I was told the reason they could not find the frames was because the transaction was under my name and it should have been under the child's. I explained that I paid with my credit card. They said that made no difference, it still should have been under the child's name. This has just been a few months. I told them I had no control over how their employees entered things into their system. I suggested they ask the girl that originally took the order I am totally confused by how rudely I was treated. I remember all too well the original trip picking out frames. We narrowed it down to 3 final choices. The ones my grand daughter finally settled on were special order and took a week or so to get in.
