When my daughters pediatrician suggested that my daughter go, I just told her it would be cool, although I'm nervous to go myself. So made an appointment and we went. This place is fantastic with kids! There is a little play area in the waiting room which helped loosen things up before getting called back. Lindsey called us back and started the exam. Omg love Lindsey, she was amazing with my daughter and actually has me thinking, I can get my eyes checked, hmmm. When Lindsey finished finished Dr. Pesoa came in. He was just as patient and nice. They really made the visit fun. Lots of cute frames for kids to choose from. Overall very happy with our first visit to the eye doctor.

If you are looking for a practice that cares about you and your vision, come here! I made a switch…read moreto this private practice right after my first experience with a BOGO mall shop and have continued to come back each year. I have vision insurance and a HSA to cover my expenses, so I never pay out of pocket. The cost is broken down for you to understand and make adjustments as needed. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and will work with your budget. Their digital imaging system is always top tech and I love that they don't do the dilation drops.  The changeover to Dr. Carlos Pessoa was smooth and he is just as nice as his predecessor. Their glasses selection is great and if you have your own frames, they can get new lenses for them. I have contacts as well and am picky with how they feel but they worked with me until we found the right type.

The people in the front who help get your glasses are friendly and helpful. They always work to get you the best price on frames and lenses. Watch out for Donna at the front desk. She violates your HIPAA rights in an open area. She thinks she is a physician and knows what is best for you. She discussed my exam results in public with other employees while being disrespectful. Even more insult to injury...she bent and melted the frame of my glasses until now they are warped and out of shape. She told me I need to get use to them and this is how we adjust them. She badgered me to read small print in the lobby area and continue to try to diminish me in an open area. When I sent an email to Visonworks Customer Service, they in turn sent it back to the local branch which Donna intercepted. When I received a call from the branch, I had no idea it was Donna leaving the message. She knew who I was and no apology on the voicemail. When I called back, she continued to be rude and disrespectful. Once I found and realized it was her, I have been trying to get in touch with management to no avail. This is the reason for the 2 stars. If not because of Donna I would have given them 5 stars easily. I have been patient. After all I am trying to keep this a local issue. If I do not receive a response, my patience is thin now. I will file a HIPAA complaint on the federal level and with VisionWorks HIPAA HQ compliance officer. All I ask is to uphold your 100-day guarantee and a pair of glasses to help not cause a safety hazard due to lens being overkill for my prognosis. Then that can become another lawsuit should something happen while being under your prescription lens.

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at America's Best Hiram location…read morehas been deeply disappointing and unacceptable. I came in for something simple to have my glasses adjusted because they'd loosened. During that visit, the staff, including Assistant Manager Brandi and support associate Imani, gave me the wrong pair of glasses and lost my actual pair. When I returned a few days later to fix it, I was told there was "nothing they could do" because I didn't try them on in the store. But I was never asked or instructed to try them on -- something I later learned is standard procedure. To make matters worse, I've been in contact with customer service for over a week, and there's still no resolution. I've spent a lot of money on my glasses, and now I'm without them -- forced to drive without proper vision correction, which is both stressful and a safety hazard. This situation could have been handled with care and accountability, but instead I've received indifference and delay. I truly hope America's Best takes this seriously. Customers deserve better than to be dismissed after such a major error. Please retrain and review the staff at this location, no one should have to go through this level of frustration for something so easily preventable. I want to know what is the solution to my glasses being lost at this practice? After spending about$300 to retrieve.

Worst experience with a medical center. So my husband had a severe side effect to a pain medication…read morehe was taking after having ACL surgery. It caused him to not be able to open his eyes and he described it as pins and needles in his eyes. We went to the ER around 5:30 AM and they helped him into a wheelchair as he couldn't see or walk. That was the only positive experience about this place. After sitting there for about an hour my husband became very uncomfortable/ in pain due to his leg position (again just had surgery 3 days prior). I asked if there was anything they could do about helping to position his leg differently such as rolled up towels or something to help prop his leg up. Their response was- "No we don't have anything else". They made no effort to assist him. Mind you he is now in immense pain from his eyes and his leg. A little while later he became very thirsty and we left the house in such a rush that we didn't even think about bringing a drink with us. I asked the nurse if they had some water they could give to him. Their response- "no we don't have any down here". I looked at her like she was crazy and honestly she acted like I was in the wrong for my facial expression. I took my two small children home and came back to sit with my husband. After I got there he was in so much pain that I asked the nurse what the process is and how long we could expect to wait. She said she couldn't give a wait time but that there was a patient there that had a wait time of 9 hours I understand that ER's are busy and there is always going to be a wait. That is not the issue here. Upon hearing this and seeing my husband in tears I rolled him right on out. Meanwhile the nurse in the background is saying (in a very rude tone) "where are they going?" I told her we were leaving and I could just see the eye rolls. We had to go down the street to Wellstar urgent care to get better assistance in which they recommended us go to an eye doctor. They asked why we left the ER and when I told them what happened they were absolutely floored. I have never in my life experienced such terrible treatment or experience from medical personnel. They took no time to get up from their chairs to assist. I would not recommend going here. I would drive the extra 40 minutes to Kennestone any day over this terrible place. I am not one to write many reviews or speak badly of others, however, people need to know what kind of treatment they are in for when coming here. Save yourself some time and trouble by going somewhere that will actually care for you and get up out of their chair to assist patients.
