I had questions on my vision and what I am currently experiencing and he rushed me out the room without even letting me explain. Generally I respect when things move fast and efficiently, but this was jarring, especially since I had questions that I wanted to ask but he made it clear he wasn't going to answer as he was running out of the room. Went over to look at the glasses selection, and saw that he was sitting in a separate patient room in the patient chair on his phone. Rushed me through the appointment just to get on his phone and be lazy. I decided not to spend my money on glasses at this place, and it's a shame because the salesperson seemed nice and willing to help, but you would think the doctor would put in at least a little bit of effort. Oh well.

I'm updating my review -…read more A few years back, I brought my niece here to get her very first set of contact lenses. Due to a death in a family, she was not able to make her follow up appointment (she moved back to Louisiana) and this place gave her / us a REALLY hard time about getting a paper Rx for her glasses and contacts even though I paid for at time of visit. It was beyond bizarre. I forgot to write that update because I was busy dealing with funeral arrangements and the aftermath. Recently - I decided it was PAST time to get my annual eye exam ...having missed the last 3 years :-( I checked with My Eye Lab / My EyeLab, Marietta Eye Clinic and Walmart Vision Centers. Check my review for My EyeLab's EW Connector location (awful). As of the writing of the review - $80 for eyeglasses exam $45 additional for contact lenses exam Dr. Aaron Rahn is the only optometrist onsite and he's there 2 - 3 days per week. By the way, I saw some Google reviews where people gave 1 star reviews because the doctor is only there one day a week. I asked about this and it turns out he's not laying home eating bonbons or chilling on the beach when he's not there (like the detractors speculated - lol), he works at other locations when he's not there. My visit was great. Dr. Rahn was EXTREMELY thorough and gave me, hands down, the best, most thorough explanation I'd ever heard with regard to how to understand my eyeglass Rx. The only thing I forgot to ask was what OD and OS mean. I Googled it: Oculus dexter (O.D.) translates to "right eye," while oculus sinister (O.S.) means "left eye." There was little to no wait time and the support staff was fairly friendly. Their selection of eyeglass frame is pretty much what one could expect based on the store size and they had some of the trendy options like Ray Ban, Coach, Sean John, etc. I already have frames that I love (they have glare reduction / blue-light blocking / darken in sun), so if I decide to go with glasses, I would probably only get my lens here and have them put them into my existing frames. If I had to mention anything that might need some tweaking - No one introduced themselves. I found out, by asking, that the young lady at check-in's name was Andrea. I had to ask the name of the doctor, after we'd already been speaking for a few minutes. I had to ask the name of the sales associate that helped me (Kulvir). I think this is just a social norm that seems to be falling to the wayside, but I like to write reviews, so I always want to know the names of the folks I'm talking to. Plus - I like to be able to address people by their names because it seems like the polite thing to do. Overall - I would recommend this place. It didn't put too big of dent in my wallet. The visit was quick and painless and the doctor was phenomenal. Because of my somewhat unique Rx, I have to go back in 7 days for a follow-up (no additional cost), so if anything changes, I'll update my review accordingly.

When they examined the last pair they found they were made wrong. I took them back to New Vision and asked for a refund bringing proof they were made wrong. He refused. He stated the former glasses I had issues with were only because I didn't like the frames. That's not true. I couldn't see properly out of any of them. I'd also asked to get new lenses in an older frame . He also refused. The person they use to examine your eyes isn't as good as can be had. Dr. Hemmings is a much better eye doctor and can even do cataract surgery. I wasted many months with this place and had to use readers to be able to see. I strongly advise to stay away from this place. You will be much better served to see Dr. Hemmings.

I'm always visiting this Walmart and when I realized that their vision center accepted my insurance, I figured that I'd dip in during a visit and get my eyes checked. As I get older, I need to stay on top of my vision. I've been wearing glasses since I was a teenager and love to have some variety in my glasses, but haven't had my eyes checked in like 4 years! Making an appointment over the phone was really easy, and I was informed that Dr. James has specific days she's in the office but her schedule still afforded ample availability for appointments. When I walked in I went over to the young lady at the check-in desk and she was very welcoming. I completed my intake forms and she took me back for some photos of my eyes before I went back into the waiting area. While I was waiting, I could hear Dr. James and another patient laughing - that's a good sign! When she called me in, I could immediately tell that I'd like her. Dr. James was so friendly! My appointment was so smooth and went even better because we were chatting about our children and the joys of motherhood throughout the entire appointment, lol. This was really a smooth, refreshing appointment with Dr. James, highly recommended for those needing a vision check up!

I went for an eye exam on Jan 5 and have still, as of March 13, still not received the glasses I paid for. Throughout the experience they have been very dodgy and deceitful and when I can get them on the phone it's always a different story. There was a "glitch" in the system, "It's just a busy time", "your lenses were done improperly". It's been total incompetence or deflecting blame. And guess what, still no glasses or any recompense other than we can offer you a "goody" bag when they come in. I would prefer customer service with integrity and ....I don't know...the GLASSES I ordered which was the whole point! So frustrated and dismayed.
