I called ahead to ask if they do eyeglass frame repair on frames I purchased from them in 2013. They said yes and gave me the address of their location (here) that is open Mondays. (Their East Cobb location is not open Mondays.) I showed up very soon after they opened. I recognized Dr. Patel even though it had been over ten years. I explained the two things wrong with my glasses. A member of her team at the front desk examined them and agreed they could be repaired easily. In fewer than 15 minutes, someone walked to the lobby with the repaired glasses. Amazing! In this day and age when so much comes extra, when businesses are squeezed to nickel and dime their customers to make ends meet, I genuinely expected to be charged for this repair. Blazingly fast service and no pressure to buy anything even though it had been over ten years since they made a penny off me? I'm going to make a point to come back when I get my vision prescription renewed in a week. I hope that if you're reading this review it means you're checking them out. Have confidence in visiting them and trusting them to do right by you. I'm no one special. Not a VIP. But even after so long, they happily repaired my eyeglasses restoring my ability to get work done with my vision "restored" so to speak. They use off site phone helpers who ask questions they already have in their files, they overprice…read moretheir frames by a good bit (as evidenced by how quickly they offered to come down on the posted price when I commented on it) and, the straw that broke the camel's back is they charge mandatory $55 for machine optic tests -and won't dilate instead. You are not allowed to refuse. Most places charge $30 for the same tests and offer dilation for free as an option. The staff seemed nice but forced to robotically say the same line to customers all day about the doctor insistence on these mandatory additional charges. I looked up the charges on my phone as soon as they told me about it and found out that dilation was usually an option and that the charge was on the highest end of typical, so walked out and found somewhere else nearby later that same day and am so glad I did. I'll review them separately. Again the place is fine the employees are nice and the eyeglass sales woman was very committed and dedicated and interested but whoever makes their policies is out to make the most money possible with the least work possible.

First, their scheduling system is one of the best I've seen. Not only do they issue text reminders , you can schedule your own appointments based on availability. The Doctors actually remind you and do not rush you off for the next client. Everyone is pleasant and professional. You first arrive for check-in at the back of the store and shortly after around ten minutes or so I was called for the various eye test to check my retina and to see if there was any change in my vision. You were then escorted to another room where you wait for the doctor to perform eye chart testing, and go over the results of your eye test with you. My doctor is always pleasant, and she spotted a change in my retina which she informed will be monitored and make sure to compare it to last year's test. I always feel heard, and that I'm getting quality care when visiting the doctors here. My prescription did increase a little bit in my left eye however it was not enough to need to change it at this time. However, it didn't stop me from getting a new pair of glasses because after your visit your then provided more information based on your insurance to either upgrade your current pair of glasses or purchase a new one. So of course I got excited and purchased a pair of Meta glasses! Check on your aging eyes at this location. You won't regret it! Con: since this location is in the mall it can get pretty busy and you may have to wait a bit to get your prescription glasses order completed.

After my appointment, I ordered my contacts refill through 1-800-CONTACTS because they were significantly cheaper. Atlanta Eye Group never returned their request to confirm my prescription, so I was sent the wrong prescription (+2.50 instead of -2.50). Thankfully, 1-800-CONTACTS is used to this unethical practice and has agreed to replace the box with my correct prescription for free. It is absolutely unethical, unacceptable, and negligent for a medical practice to ignore these requests. Thankfully I had a few old contacts I could wear in the interim, but I will never return to this clinic.

This is one of the worst eye centers especially when it involves patient billing. As a pretty new…read morepatient with a few visits, I received a statement for optical eye pictures taken and obviously the insurance company did not pay for. I originally contacted the office to question the balance due and learned that the insurance company did not pay, however after speaking with one of the staff members, I was told he would see if the charge could be removed and would contact me in 24 no more than 48 hours (no response). A week later, I received a notice that the balance would go to collections on a certain date, so I immediately contacted the office once again and requested to speak with the office manager (no response) specially stating . I never received a call from the first staff member and I DID not want the balance placed in collections and if that would be the result of it, I will just pay the bill regardless of what he advised me of originally. A few days later, I received a call from the same originally gentlemen, which stated after speaking with the doctors they decided to remove the charge and explained the next time if pictures are required, I would be responsible (okay fair enough). Upon receiving my mail to learn they sent the balance over to collections after stating the charge would be removed and I am highly upset due to the fact this eye centers business office staff members to do not return promised phone calls nor do they follow up within the time frame specifically stated and the worse part of this whole situation sending my account over to collection and the ONLY way I could put it is, totally deceptive on there point to the point I strongly feel I need to find another eye center, due to the lack of being totally incompetent when it involve a patient's account. At this point, I don't know who the office manager is, because I still have not received a call back from the office when this whole issue started from the very beginning, which is mind blowing when you ask to speak with an office manager regardless someone should respond (but again NO one wants to work these days). I really don't know what's wrong with the health care system these days nor some of the people employed, it honestly appears some just don't want to work, but at the end of the day expect a pay check, because clearly this should not have happen.

While on the phone, my toddler started to throw a tantrum. One of the ladies asked if she could walk my little one around. Though im usually hesitant with others carrying my child, the nice lady gave me a warm presence and I allowed her to walk my baby. Another young lady also helped entertain my baby, as they had to help customers. Actions like this really restore my faith in humanity. Unfortunately, things did not work out with my insurance (nothing on their part), but I will forever be grateful for what those two young ladies did for me.

This is the first review I have ever wrote on anything ever. I have never had a worse experience…read morethan how I have been treated at this establishment. I went for an eye exam on Jan 5 and have still, as of March 13, still not received the glasses I paid for. Throughout the experience they have been very dodgy and deceitful and when I can get them on the phone it's always a different story. There was a "glitch" in the system, "It's just a busy time", "your lenses were done improperly". It's been total incompetence or deflecting blame. And guess what, still no glasses or any recompense other than we can offer you a "goody" bag when they come in. I would prefer customer service with integrity and ....I don't know...the GLASSES I ordered which was the whole point! So frustrated and dismayed.
