In addition -- a big plus to the practice -- he upgraded service with technology (something previously lacking.) It doesn't hurt that Dr. Powell is knowledgeable AND personable, making a routine eye exam rather pleasant. **** Jennifer, manager of the optical side, seems to have whipped things into shape. I went in for my usual 2 pairs for $99 (for inside reading) and no upsell, no scare tactics -- just good service and designer frames at discount prices.

I must tip my head way back to activate the reading glasses to get a clear view. I don't know if it was the examination that missed or the evaluation of the sales agent or the execution of the lenses, but either way after spending almost $1000 I did not end up with usable glasses. My return visit to discuss the issue ended up with a sweet lady named Cleo telling me I just needed to learn how to use them and get used to them...

They always have cute Coach frames for me and I tend to get a great price with my Eye Med insurance and the coupons that Target Optical sends me in the mail. On my most recent visit, I was able to get my son in for an exam on New Years Eve (right before the insurance period ended). It was his first ever eye doctor visit and the doctor and staff made him feel comfortable and welcomed. I loved the affordability of all the kids frames. Not only did they have budget options like Cat and Jack, but they also had more expensive ones like Ray Bans and Oakley for under $150 (many under $120 too). My son had his eyes set on a few pairs initially, but ultimately decided on a green pair after the friendly staff member helped pull a few additional options from the back. Overall it was a positive experience.

I called ahead to ask if they do eyeglass frame repair on frames I purchased from them in 2013. They said yes and gave me the address of their location (here) that is open Mondays. (Their East Cobb location is not open Mondays.) I showed up very soon after they opened. I recognized Dr. Patel even though it had been over ten years. I explained the two things wrong with my glasses. A member of her team at the front desk examined them and agreed they could be repaired easily. In fewer than 15 minutes, someone walked to the lobby with the repaired glasses. Amazing! In this day and age when so much comes extra, when businesses are squeezed to nickel and dime their customers to make ends meet, I genuinely expected to be charged for this repair. Blazingly fast service and no pressure to buy anything even though it had been over ten years since they made a penny off me? You are not allowed to refuse. Most places charge $30 for the same tests and offer dilation for free as an option. The staff seemed nice but forced to robotically say the same line to customers all day about the doctor insistence on these mandatory additional charges. I looked up the charges on my phone as soon as they told me about it and found out that dilation was usually an option and that the charge was on the highest end of typical, so walked out and found somewhere else nearby later that same day and am so glad I did. I'll review them separately. Again the place is fine the employees are nice and the eyeglass sales woman was very committed and dedicated and interested but whoever makes their policies is out to make the most money possible with the least work possible.
