We ended up getting 2 pairs of reading glasses for the price of one (BOGO!) that were ultimately cheaper than the other alternatives - they were $125 frames w/ lenses and they shipped the for $25 to her house. They also gave us a coupon to have the broken glasses repaired at a nearby place. The selection of frames is limited, but all are listed at good prices. I am so glad we found this place. Usually I pay between $200-$300 for a new pair of glasses and frames.

We didn't have an appointment as we had already been to one. We had our prescriptions with us and realized that my insurance covers Sears as well. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE BEST: A big big high five to Cory for not only being one of the most patient people I have seen in a while, but also he was funny and kind. Secondly, another high five to Sara who was also wonderful, friendly, and professional as well. Both people were running the small store, they had quite a line, and yet, they were all smiles. I can't believe how lucky we are to find this wonderful gem tuck behind Sears. They should really consider having a seperate store IN FRONT. THE PRICES: the lowest I found so far. There are no hidden shenanigans behind their prices. I found their pricing straight forward and honest. Although the selection is quite small and you will not find Versace, Gucci, etc glasses here, they do carry a small collection of RayBan, Polo, Converse, Levis, and other lower end glasses. However! I have to say that the quality of the frames that they do have are much better than the $300 frames I have seen in other stores. With my insurance, the frame, lenses, polycarbon (am I doing this right? lol ) and anti-glare only cost us $68!! Although it was no name brand frame, I can tell it is still of good quality. THEN they are currently having a $99 sale on their sunglasses if you buy a prescription glass. This promo is good up until April of 2013. Hubby bought a RayBan sunglasses WITH his prescription for just a hundred smackaroos. Last year, hubby bought the same thing at Lenscrafters. He had prescription Rayban sunglasses and a Polo frame totalling at $600 AND he had to return them because they didnt get the prescription right on the lenses for both glasses. Although Lenscrafter's customer service was also stellar, I'm gonna have to say the Sears team and their store's prices kicks major booty.

Shortly after receiving them, I realized the glasses were not working correctly for me. When I returned to the store to address the issue, I expected the staff to help resolve the problem. Instead, the situation was handled very poorly. I was told there was essentially nothing they could do, even though the glasses were clearly not usable for me. There was very little effort to troubleshoot the problem or provide a reasonable solution. As a patient, I trusted this business with my vision care and used my insurance benefits there. When something goes wrong with a prescription or lenses, a reputable optical provider should stand behind their work and help correct the issue. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Because the store refused to properly resolve the situation, I had to escalate the issue by requesting a refund, filing complaints, and contacting my bank. This entire situation could have been avoided if the business had handled the matter professionally and prioritized customer care. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this location ask very clear questions about their policies before purchasing glasses here. Based on my experience, customer support after the sale was extremely disappointing.

After not being satisfied with the way the glasses looked they were sent to be remade. After not hearing back for almost 2 weeks, I called and received a new date they were to be ready. Days after they were supposed to be ready, I called again and was told that they were ready. There was no change in the appearance of the lenses. Alex was very rude when I stated that I wanted to cancel the order so that I could go elsewhere. The hold on my insurance is still there after it being almost 2 weeks since the order was cancelled and I was refunded. After requesting a signed copy of the prescription, Alex sent over the same unsigned script. When I called back regarding this, he was again condescending and rude. The Dr did not sign the prescription; and I've been told they do not know when she will be in to sign it. These are independent Dr's so no other opticians can validate the prescription. Based off the customer service I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Especially when they don't like to answer questions about the price and the total. All they say you don't owe anything today. If you got $350 and you spend $175 you should have $175 left for another pair of glasses they told me no I didn't it was all gone. gone where?? You got $175.00 left over to use. Well you tried this will the wrong woman . What you are not going to do is take my benefits I pay for!! My insurance company confirm I can buy as many pairs of glasses as I want. I was told in American best that I can buy only one pair. Lied !! Well get ready I am going to see what the Consumer FTC got to say! Seniors Citizens like myself are on a fixed income and I will not be taking advantage or see anyone else taking advantage of. Plus they were unprofessional and rude. Yes I went off !! for good reason!! I knew what they were trying to do was wrong! Some things you just don't do!!

I feel like because you only go there once a year the Doctor is not super personable with you. My check up today was with Dr. Osman. It is usually with a lady doctor. He was very nice and friendly. He asked me questions and talked to about the changes in my eyes. My appointment was at 9:15 and they asked me to be there by 9 which I was. I was in doing the pretest by about 9:10 and in with the doctor about 10 minutes after that. It was early so it wasn't a big crowd. It was nice and quiet. The staff checked in on me while I sit and wait which was really nice. So when I come here I only usually get my prescription for my glasses. I never purchase in the store because my insurance gets me a better deal at a different place. So I can't speak to the deal that they usually have on your glasses , the buy two pair blah blah blah. But as far as going just to get my eyes checked and get my prescription it's a really good experience.
