I feel like because you only go there once a year the Doctor is not super personable with you. My check up today was with Dr. Osman. It is usually with a lady doctor. He was very nice and friendly. He asked me questions and talked to about the changes in my eyes. My appointment was at 9:15 and they asked me to be there by 9 which I was. I was in doing the pretest by about 9:10 and in with the doctor about 10 minutes after that. It was early so it wasn't a big crowd. It was nice and quiet. The staff checked in on me while I sit and wait which was really nice. So when I come here I only usually get my prescription for my glasses. I never purchase in the store because my insurance gets me a better deal at a different place. So I can't speak to the deal that they usually have on your glasses , the buy two pair blah blah blah. But as far as going just to get my eyes checked and get my prescription it's a really good experience.

Surprisingly, this place seems to get better with better employees every time. I had an appointment at Americas best, which I was late (I had an unexpected issue arise). I arrived at about 2:34 for a 2:20 appointment and they would not see me. Said I'd need to reschedule for the next week, wasn't rude but wasn't friendly either. She really just seemed frustrated,overwhelmed, and overworked. I didn't want to add to her already bad day so I just no thanks and left. I called LensCrafters who said they did not have any openings but if they had a cancellation they would fit me in so I got there around 2:50 pm. And by 3 I was getting the exam. Not only was it quick and they were super friendly but when it came time to choose my frames and pay the not only gave me a 40% discount but they also gave me an additional $50 off. Because I was $12 short. They worked with me and helped me even more just because. I decided to schedule an appointment for a contacts exam next week too. I am telling you guys this is the best place to go to get an eye exam. Little more expensive but you get what you pay for and this place is well worth it. An awesomely friendly staff that you don't get much anywhere anymore. I don't care how much cheaper the eye exam is at Americas best or Walmart or anywhere. They were able to get me in as a new patient within a few days, and they kept me on the books weekly to ensure I was progressing as needed. Dr. Weather is phenomenal. His demeanor, expertise and overall energy made each visit pleasant, pain free and positive. He took time to explain everything he saw in my eye, provide me comprehensive details on recommended OTC's as well as provided me all the needed details of any prescription he tossed my way. I was a little bit panicked because I knew I wouldn't be able to see the movie without my glasses, and I bought tickets online. We looked around for a place to help and saw Vision Works. From the moment we walked in, our man Julian, took care of us with excellence. I did not buy the glasses at Vision Works because I live out of town, but Julian went above and beyond to do everything he could to make sure my glasses got fixed. He is an incredibly sharp young man who hopes to be an optometrist one day and is well on the way to getting there! I could only believe that someone who took that much care with a broken pair of glasses not from his store would be excellent at fitting glasses. Too bad I don't live close. I had an appointment and upon arrival filled out all of the paperwork, including my insurance information. I wasn't made aware that I couldn't use my insurance until after the exam while selecting my glasses. I was told I could file a reimbursement claim with my insurance company. I opted for the glasses and contact lens exam. So I was already pretty frustrated about the insurance situation but I still purchased two pairs of glasses that I liked. I didn't order my contacts from them. It was when I got home and got online to order my contacts from a different retailer I realized they had written my prescription as -1.75 for glasses and +1.75 for my contacts. I knew right away it was wrong. I then was curious about what my past prescriptions were and up pulling out my last 4 years of eye exams I was consistently -2.75. So not only was the glasses/contacts prescription opposites they were far from what I had been wearing for years. I called customer service and was referred to contact the store directly. They provided the direct number. I tried calling 3 times each time being left on hold for 10+ minutes. I needed to 1. Cancel my eye glasses order until re-examined and 2. Have my contact lenses prescription fixed. I only went here because my optometrist didn't have any appointments until February and I needed to get an updated contact lens prescription so I could order contacts. I would stay away from this place. Customer service is terrible, they false advertise and the prices are no better than anywhere else.

When they examined the last pair they found they were made wrong. I took them back to New Vision and asked for a refund bringing proof they were made wrong. He refused. I'd also asked to get new lenses in an older frame . He also refused. The person they use to examine your eyes isn't as good as can be had. Dr. Hemmings is a much better eye doctor and can even do cataract surgery. I wasted many months with this place and had to use readers to be able to see.
