All I can say is Thank God for insurance. I recently found myself squinting to make my 65" tv focus more clearly so I knew it was time for me to get an eye exam. I will go ahead and admit here, that I probably haven't had an eye exam in the last ten years, so I just knew going in that they were going to tell me that I was blind and take my driver's license from me. Instead they were friendly and encouraging and my eye sight wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. The staff was professional at all time and it was an enjoyable visit for something I truly didn't want to spend my little coins on. They still have COVID protocols in place and that in itself earned them a five star review from me. Was told my glasses would be ready to pick up in two weeks and its been six days and I received a call today to pick them up. They also offered to ship them to me at no cost. I have nothing negative to say at all. Phenomenal staff, state of the art equipment in a very cozy modern office setting. I love Dr. Jackson and all of her staff. She explained everything to me slowly and precisely. She made sure to cover the care for my eyes very thoroughly and extensively. This was by far the best visual experience I have ever had. The wide selection of stylish designer frames definitely took this experience to the next level. Ugh! I hate that I have to find a new eye doc now. I had an appt scheduled for tomorrow that I made online as soon as I could (so at least 1 month, maybe almost 2 months ago - I believe). Anyway, I just rec'd a call about my appt and asked if I would be purchasing glasses or contacts or is it just for the exam. I was just coming in for my exam as I have for at least the past 3 years. I was then told that the appt I scheduled online was a 30 minute appt for those buying glasses or contacts & that I needed an exam only appt which was 15 minutes, BUT they are all booked up for that type of appt for the rest of the year, of course! The online scheduling did not ask if I would be purchasing glasses or contacts.‍ So if I was buying product I could come through, but since I'm not, I can't. Now this last minute call has me scrambling for an appt before the end of year. Yeah I could've scheduled earlier, but the way insurance works, I had to wait the year before being able to go back to any doc to see about my eyes. I appreciate how thorough Dr. Jackson is, but this practice of last minute notifications and not making an allowance for the office's mistake, not the patient's, is a complete dealbreaker for me. read more

I have so many good things to say about Jackson Eye. I'll start by saying that I found them after getting my eye glass prescription from another optometrist office nearby where I had a terrible experience. Thankfully, I was also in the market for prescription sunglasses and came across Jackson (since I clearly knew I wouldn't be going back to my last eye doctor for a second pair). Jackson Eye was able to accommodate me in a last minute appointment, had a great eyeglass selection, and processed my insurance claim and out of pocket payment both effectively and efficiently. My sunglasses came in perfect condition and FAST, and their follow up was an added bonus too! The staff has all been friendly, professional, and knowledgeable...traits hard to come by most places. As long as I'm in the Atlanta area, this will be my go-to office for all eyewear needs. read more

I Absolutely LOVE Jackson Eye. As a recently retired Veteran, I am at a complete loss when it comes to Vision Insurance. Dr Jackson and her staff are amazing! (My apologies for not remembering the woman's name who runs the front desk), but she is OUTSTANDING! She is patiently and thoroughly teaching me how insurance works since Nov 2018, ensuring I get the most out of my benefits and understand it all. For that, I am eternally grateful and a forever patient! COVID has the office booked for months, but the gentleman in scheduling said he would get me in via the next cancellation, sure enough, he called me back the same evening and booked me for two days later... Dr Jackson is just as OUTSTANDING as her staff! She graciously allowed me to accept her original recommendation of bifocals, I mean progressive lenses, without a single "I told you so". And she puts in the effort to get to know her patients; by recalling a conversation we had about my hobbies/small business from over a year ago! The office is gorgeous, inviting, and clean. Their COVID procedures are top notch and the frame selection has me ready to book a time slot just to add more eyewear to my wardrobe without crowding the outer office/patients during their COVID operations. I liked the doctor, but I did not like that her staff lied to me about a rebate. I paid $95 for some contacts and the woman she has running the numbers with the customer told me I would get $90 of it back with a rebate. I would not normally buy a year supply of contacts because money is tight and my insurance covers 6 months with no charge to me. I expressed this to the woman behind the counter, and told her I would only make the purchase if the rebate was what she told me. She assured me it was. I go through the rebate process only to learn I am just getting $40 back. There is no way I woukd have gotten those contacts if I knew I was just getting $40 back. I feel cheated and lied to and can do nothing about it but warn the people I originally told good things about this office not to go there. If you do go watch out for the flim flam. read more

My experience was the best I have had in a few years. First, the staff received me in a timely manner following COVID protocols. I was given a thorough exam and at the end of the exam the doctor went over all of her results and explained the difference between my current exam with her and my old prescription. The staff helped me pick my glasses and I was very pleased with the selection of eyewear that they offered. My first visit to Jackson Eye was quite pleasant. I was very pleased to see an all black staff. Staff was young and pleasant. It took three week for my contacts to be ready for pick up. Later I had a problem with the vision in one contact, I called the office and was told I would receive a call right back. Five days latter I had to call them back to ask why did I not receive a call back. Wow so what's the deal. So you take my money and don't want to deal with me anymore. I was told I would be charged to fix the problem. Well Dr Jackson you will never see another dime of my money again!! read more

Don't get me wrong this doctor is very nice and her assistant is pleasant. However if you think you are going in there to just pay your insurance copay... it's not going to happen. She charged and extra 35 for the diabetes screening 'doesn't tell you up front it's extra... because it's required. Then charges and extra 55 for a contacts fitting when my prescription did not change from my last appointment and I have been wearing contacts for 10 years. I have no problem with the extra charges but how and why would you make them required, and not state them upfront. There is a way to do business and this is not it. Also the employee/ secretary in the front with the blond hair has an issue. She could work on her customer service skills. And no I will not return or send any business her way. read more
