Made appointment 1week in advance. Got to office 15 min early and proceeded to check in when the woman says I dont see you in the schedule. I told her I got the text confirming my appointment and they would see me then. She said she seen that text but not my appointment...but she would "fit" me in. So I am waiting 30 min now and someone comes in and I hear him say he is checking in for his appointment which is 15 min AFTER mine was supposed to be and they take him back. My question is why would you take him ahead of me knowing you were already putting me behind schedule. They did not set a good first impression with me....so I got up and left...NEVER TO RETURN. I have been seeing Dr. Jeffries and Dr. Patel since moving to Georgia in 2009. I have been extremely pleased with the service I have received at this practice. I had a couple of years where I had a recurring eye infection, and Dr. Patel helped relieve my pain and clear up the infection straight away. I visited a couple of weeks ago for my annual eye exam and the office staff was extremely helpful with assisting me to find new frames. The new location is beautiful and modern with plenty of space to shop for eye glasses while maintaining distancing from other customers. My family members use this practice as well and we all love it! Highly recommend for your eye care needs. read more

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND JEFFRIES EYE CARE TO MY EX! I've used them for the last three years and year 1 was AMAZING. Years 2 and 3, not so much. Perhaps that first visit was just the "new customer" treatment, like cell phone and cable companies give you a great deal to switch. Then you don't matter. Anyway, on this visit I Decided to try contacts for the first time ever and was told I needed to schedule a "fitting". No worries, so I schedule the appointment for today. I go in for the "fitting" which basically means you are put in a small room alone with a pair of contacts and told to put them in. Left alone struggling for over 2 hours with no help, advice, observation or assistance I FINALLY get them in and am told to remove them. UGH! 30 minutes later, again with no one helping or advising, I get them out. Now, I can't get them back in amd my eyes are sore and irritated from all the poking so I decide I'll just try anew in the morning and decide to just leave as it's quitting time and I didn't want interrupt their leaving. Besides, it had taken 2 hours to get them in the first time and I was hungry and my eyes hurt. So, I tell them I'm just going to leave. This is when I'm informed it costs $60 to sit in the small back room alone poking at your own eyes for 2.5 hours. Would have been nice to know about that charge BEFORE I went in. They made it sound like it was just part of the contact process and was included in the initial exam. I'd have thought for $60 I could have at least had someone ELSE poke my eye a few times. I don't recommend Jeffries to ANYONE, not even my EX. read more

I had poked my eye with a stick. It hurt like a son of a gun and didn't stop hurting all night. I was unable to open my good eye because when I did it hurt my poked eye. The next morning my wife was calling around and Jeffries was quick to respond and said to come in and sit standby and they would see me when able. After arriving I only waited about 15 minutes ( including the time to fill out new patient info ) and I was taken to the back to have my eyes checked. The new technicians fumbled around a bit with paperwork and initial testing didn't seem to know much about what they were doing, however Doctor Jeffries was effective in treating my cut eye and I walked out of the clinic nearly pain free. My husband and I are pretty new to Newnan. We needed eye exams and new glasses so we decided to give Jeffries Eye Care a try. We made appointments with ease and were seen by Dr. Holly O'Clair who was excellent. The receptionist for the exams portion was also excellent. Sadly our experience declined after that. This review is mainly for the frames sales staff and not the doctors or staff that give the eye exams. Unfortunately I did not get any names of the sales staff but I would like to address one particular staff member. (In the office photo on this page she is on the end in the light blue shirt (long dark hair with glasses) We were interested in picking out new frames. We have Davis Vision and we led to a creaky noisy turnstyle display of "Davis only" frames in the back (kind of shows you where they rank Davis vision patients) The office was cramped and it was hard to navigate around to the frames displays without interrupting other customers at the desks. The selection of frames were ok but not great. A lot of their frames are thrown intro drawers in a display case all mixed together- just looks like a mess. So back to the sales lady- she didn't seem thrilled to help us. In the past when I have picked out glasses the sales associates have always picked out some frames that they think would compliment our face shape, eye color, skin tone, etc. Nothing like that here. It was more of a "I'll be over here at my desk if you need me" My husband and I wandered around and really didn't find anything. I decided to keep my current frames and just have the lenses replaced with my new prescription. She didn't seem thrilled about this. Her reply was "We can do that but it will take a month" in a not so nice tone. I guess she doesn't make commission on us if we do that. A week later we went back to see if my husband could find frames. Again we were assigned to the same "indifferent" long dark haired lady who really was of no help. After wandering around a little longer my husband decided to just get a copy of his prescription. She already had it in her hand to give him, as if she was like "see ya!" I received a call a few days later that my glasses were ready. We picked them up on Feb 14th around 2pm. It was very busy in there. We were led to sit at the desk in the back where the frames orders were. We sat, and sat and sat.... I think I was skipped in line because another couple came over to pick up frames and were helped immediately. This couple must have been friends with the sales lady (this time the sales lady was a short hair lady in her 50's with glasses) We were totally ignored as the couple chatted away and even made plans to go and see "50 Shades of Grey" at the movies (not very professional- do that on your own time) I had to speak up after a while and say "Hi, sorry, I'm just here to pick up- is there anyone that can help me?" She was very rude and replied "Yes, they are busy!" I guess I interrupted her personal conversation and movie plans. She eventually asked my name and found my glasses. She handed them to me and walked away. After a few minutes she returned. I told her they were fine and asked if I could go. She handed me some glasses cleaner and a cloth and that was it. She didn't even ask me if I needed an adjustment. Awful service. This is a shame as the exams staff is so great. The sales ladies in the front are just terrible. My husband and I were saying that we felt like it you weren't a friend or acquaintance of these ladies then they just didn't care. We will not be returning. read more

My entire family of 5 came in to see Dr. Holly O'Clair. I had gotten a referral from a friend that Dr. Jeffries was outstanding, but we could see a doctor that day. The appointment staff was excellent, fully understanding how difficult it is to make sure the entire family is seen. Dr. O'Clair was fantastic with children! I have a 9, 7, and 4 year old. She was chipper, friendly, and knew how to get a good exam out of all three of them according to their ages. I can't say much about the eyeglasses portion as thankfully none of us were in a need for that, but I highly recommend coming here for vision screenings. Also, I was informed that if we were to ever have pinkeye, or any other eye issue, we could use this office vs our family doctor. Way better than waiting in a doc office or urgent care! I first asked if they accept my insurance and then asked for an appointment. I proceeded to ask another question and she started speaking at the same time and then asked "Im sorry, sir?" I have seen Dr. Jeffries since I moved to Newnan almost 15 years ago. She is WONDERFUL- explains everything she is doing and is very gentle and very thorough. I trust her completely. Her office hours are very good, making it fairly easy to get an appointment, even on Saturdays. Her office staff is great too. Very friendly and patient. They have always been helpful with picking out glasses and teaching me to use contacts (not easy since before, I couldn't even tolerate putting in eye drops!). Jeffries eye care is the bomb! Every time I walk into their store front I am treated like a rockstar. Dr. Amy Jeffries is thorough, genuine, and friendly. I made the mistake of going to America's best one year when I wasn't insured and my glasses never felt right. Never again! My glasses are always 100% with Dr. Jeffries. The staff knows you by name and treats you like family. My contact fit was scary at first because I'd never used them before but the girl who showed me how was patient and gave me some space so I didn't feel like I was under a microscope while trying to fit my contacts. I am so excited to be glasses free for the first time in 30 years! Contacts from Jeffries are flawless and I never knew that with my astigmatism I could even wear a pair! I love love this place! It's disappointing that a place with such a good doctor and selection of frames has such terrible office staff. Let me start by saying Dr. Jeffries is wonderful. My vision is better than ever thanks to her. Unfortunately, you only deal with her once. I've gotten 2 pairs of glasses from there. Both times I was treated as if I was inconveniencing them. On my first visit, after picking out my frames, I stood around for a few minutes, with the frames in my hand, and again no one offered to help. Finally I asked if someone could help me and they did. This isn't a very big place though and it wasn't crowded so should I have had to ask? I waited for 2 weeks to get a call saying they were ready for pickup. Ultimately I had to call them. Another positive thing I will say about them is they have a wide selection of designer sunglasses...unfortunately you have interact with the office staff to order them. About 2 weeks after ordering my everyday glasses, I went back in the get Michael Kors sunglasses that I picked out when I was in there before. I knew the exact ones I wanted and had already gotten my exam so I thought it would be easy. When I walked in i was again treated as if I was an inconvenience. After I ordered them, 2 weeks later still no call saying they were ready. I had to call them. When I went to pick them up, they had incorrectly positioned the lens so they had to send them back a second time. I will say the lady that helped me that day was very nice. But guess what, no call when they were ready. Since ordering my sunglasses, I have been back in twice with issues and have been treated the same way. My lens came out of my sunglasses which they were able to fix in-house. I then broke the temple on one side and took those in to see if the could order a replacement part. They didn't know so I was told they would check and call me back. 3 days later...no call. I called them and they said they had ordered the replacement part but didn't no how much it would be. 2 weeks go by...no call that they were ready. I call them and am left on hold for 10 minutes before the receptionist tells me no one is avaiable to help me and they will need to call me back. Seriously? Can you not just type in my name and see? Needless to say, I won't be going back there for frames. I may see Dr. Jefferies again but it is too painful to get frames from there. read more

Dr and staff were nice. Unfortunately, when it comes to billing I was told it's done from an outside source. I walked out paying 1200 for glasses and exams ( which I did not balk at ) and it takes them over 120 days to send a bill? ..there's a problem somewhere. Then when I call they say they cannot discuss it with me that is outsourced and they cant transfer my call. They took my number and will have someone call me back. The bill states it is from them and I pay them directly I just cannot speak to them about billing. I pay my bills on time, and typically at the time of service. Not happy with this service. -UPDATE: I received a response within a few hours from their office manager who handled my issue. I've used these guys for a few years and have noticed a commitment to excellence that now makes getting an eye exam painless and cost effective. I'm a diabetic who hasn't had an exam during the last two years, so I got a firm but friendly encouragement to get an annual check up. The doctor took time to explain why that is important (eye is the only place to inspect the small blood vessels that are most affected by diabetes). They checked to see if my glass frames needed adjusting and they offered more that one payment option. The price was reasonable. I like these people. read more

After wearing glasses for 50 + years, I decided I wanted contacts which was a huge decision as I have never been even able to put my own eye drops in. However, after just one lesson by Dr Jefferies and her team - I was able to put in and take out my own contacts with no problem!. The staff is rude and condescending. I was originally given the option of choosing what brand of contacts I wanted. After my next eye exam, I was switched to another brand without being asked. This new brand was uncomfortable but it did not matter, Dr. Jeffries would not switch me back. After looking into how I could go back to my old brand, I noticed that the new brand cost almost twice as much. I wonder if there is some sort of conflict of interest here. I sent Jeffries Eye Center this email outlining my issues: I first visited your office the afternoon of 7 May and discussed my concerns with your office manager. My concern stems from my son and I being told by multiple people that he could utilize his insurance in a certain way and it turns out that information was incorrect. Another concern stems from my son being told he could come in after the first of the year and get a contact fitting, he was not told during the time that I was there that he only had 90 days. the first of these concerns was addressed to the office manager whose sole reply was "it is your job to know your insurance not ours." She continuously stated that same mantra even when I asked her if you (Jeffries Eye Care) are not going to stand by what you say and will claim instead that it is the consumers responsibility to know their insurance policy then why are you giving advice to customers on how to best utilize their insurance. She stated the same mantra that it is my job to know my insurance not hers.... Poor customer service. The second concern was addresses stemming from the 90 days to get a contact fitting. The office manager brought out what she referred to as the "Insurance girl" who then proceeded to inform us that the 90 days was not a Jeffries policy but was instead a Georgia law. To which I claimed BS and let her know I had been visiting the eye doctor in Georgia for a number of years and had had many fittings outside of 90 days. I told her I would be sure to look that up and verify her claim. This even after the office manager stated that it was Jeffries policy to not do a contact fitting after 90 days. I let the office manager know that I would return before close to pick up the records for myself, my son and my wife and we left. Later that afternoon I received a call from the office that the records were ready they just need a verbal from my wife to release them. When I went to pick them up everything was ready. I let the office manager know that I had looked at the Georgia law and it was not in fact a law that no fitting could occur after 90 days since an eye exam that the law stated there needed to be an eye exam at a minimum every 12 months. I also informed her that I had spoken to at least 2 local eye doctors that would do a contact fitting for my son with the November exam. The office manager gave me the records as well as a print out of the Georgia law concerning eyes and contacts that states nothing about 90 days only the once every 12 months law (why she gave me something that proved the "insurance girl" was flat out lying to me or just making things up as she went along, is beyond me.) She then brought in one of the ladies that we had spoken to in November that remembered the situation and as she ran through the November meeting she stated she said within 90 days. When I told her that no she said "after the first of the year", she replied that she might have said that and if she had then she apologized. (Great customer service, promote her!) I turned to the office manager and informed her that if she handled this as whats best for the customer and to provide a service and had said "hey if we said that and misinformed you then I apologize so how do we make it better? Tell you what lets either waive the eye exam this one time and do the fitting as we discussed" or "we will give you the eye exam for free and you pay for the fitting" then everything would have been fine, instead she chose to keep repeating the same mantra about it is not her responsibility to know the insurance and together with the "insurance girl" flat out lied to my face. Once we left your office we drove 5 minutes to a different local eye doctor gave them the November eye exam and told them what had happened and we wanted to make an appointment, they replied that their 330 appointment had just cancelled and they could see us immediately. My son saw the doctor got fitted we will go back in a week to verify and then order contacts. We were done and my son was wearing contacts within an hour of leaving your office. Again great customer service by your competitor. read more

Dr. Jeffries has been following my family's complicated eye care needs for several years. I feel secure in her knowledge, recommendations and expertise safeguarding our eye health. Jeffries Eye Care has grown into a full service eye center with strong knowledge to help my family cope and adjust to our challenging eye health issues. Even when our health insurance has changed both Dr. Jeffries and her staff have gone to great lengths to serve us. I wish more health care professionals would take the time and care to treat their patients as Jeffries Eye Care does for each of us during and between visits. In fact, we drive over an hour from the opposite side of Atlanta for Dr. Jeffries to handle our eye care needs. When I find a health care professional with exemplar service and who really care, a little longer drive is worth it. read more

Dr. Jefferies has made the right decision with new prescriptions and even tried contacts.
