I'd choose "0" if that were an option. Three of my children were seen for an eye exam and glasses…read moreon 7/25/23 and should have received the GA State 3300 form to be completed by the optometrist at the time/date of the exam for each of their exams. When requested of the office only 2 days later (7/27/23), the office advised a fee for each child would have been assessed for that simple paper. The office confirmed that the service I was asking for was completed on the date of the exam, charged to me, and billed to the insurance and DID cover the needed paperwork; however, this paperwork was not provided to me (the parent). This was a service they would not be charging otherwise had they provided it on the date of the exam; they advised the burden was on me to state the form was needed at that time. No additional services like further physical exam examination was needed, just a simple checkbox form stating that my children wear glasses and were screened by a physician with the physician's signature. They were able to receive co-payments from me for the exam and material fee, billed both the primary and secondary vision insurances for my children, and I also bought glasses for one of my children there. They were more than compensated for me to receive a form that they would have inevitably given to me for no charge only 2 days earlier. That is ridiculous and poor customer services. Their policy is an excuse to get money. That is terrible business practice and creates unnecessary hardship for people.

I WAS REALLY EXCITED ABOUT SUPPORTING THIS BLACK DOCTOR (WOOHOO FOR SISTERHOOD!) BUT I WAS VERY…read moreDISAPPOINTED IN HER AND HER PRACTICE. I'd be very careful about coming here for ANYTHING, THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENT! After completing my eye exam and about 3 trials of contact lenses to find the right fit (to which I had to travel back and forth for), I was finally given a prescription for eyeglasses and contacts. When I tried to order my glasses online, I needed the PD, which should have been on the prescription. While I was there, I decided not to get glasses because they didn't have the style I was looking for. When I called for the PD size, I was told that I had to pay an additional fee just to get the the doctor to size my pupils because they didn't want patients going outside of their office to buy contacts or glasses. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? The woman on the phone also said if you have any issues with your glasses, you'll bring them in here to get them sized properly and we can't size your glasses for free. I GET IT, your a business and you need to make money but to overcharge your patients after you inconvenience them three times, they pay the copay, you don't put the needed information on the prescription so that they have to come back to your office and then you tell your patients they have to pay you more money to do your job AGAIN? NO THANKS. IF YOU WANTED TO BE TREATED LIKE A PATIENT AND NOT A BANK, GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION, THIS LOCATION AND THE INDIVIDUALS THAT WORK HERE ARE DISGUSTING.

I've been suffering with an eye problem for more than 4 months. I was referred to ECA by my…read moreoptometrist who had diagnosed me with Episcleritis. The front office staff was AMAZING!!! They were friendly, personable, and professional. After waiting for more than an hour to see Doctor Kuang, he on the other hand was the COMPLETE OPPOSITE. He made zero eye contact upon entering the room, was short and showed no interest or concern. He even asked "what brings you here today"? My Sclera (white part of the eye) is completely red and swollen. He prescribed a medication which directly conflicts with my current medication which sharply increases my risk of severe stomach ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney damage, and cardiovascular events. I called the office more than six times over 4 weeks to ask Dr. Kuang to call me to discuss my condition and his recommendation for treatment and he NEVER returned my calls. He also never returned the call of another ophthalmologist even after I gave the office staff permission to discuss my condition. It's generally a professional courtesy to return calls of patients and colleagues. I contacted the Corporate Office to discuss my concern and did not receive a follow-up call. If there was an option for less than one star this location would get it from me. Based upon my experiences, I would adamantly not recommend this facility.

By far, this gentleman is the…read morebest, could not ask for anything more, a true professional and a master at eye surgery and his craft. However, everything billing-related has made this experience the absolute worst experience. This may come off harsh, but the fact is Milan Eye Center is incompetent when it comes to billing, and they refuse to take any responsibility. They hire a 3rd party billing company overseas, so every time you call their office to discuss anything "billing-related," you are automatically transferred to their overseas contracted billing partner. Why in the world would you hire such an incompetent company to handle all your billing? This is a multimillion-dollar eyecare practice. We knew this surgery would happen, and switched insurance plans as the new plan had a specific flat in-network $1,000 copay for each eye for Cataract Surgery. The total surgery should have cost $2,000, plus the additional co-payments for other doctor visits/eval pre- and post-surgery. Guess what? Milan Eye Center never billed UHC. At the last moment, we were forced into taking out a $5,000 loan from CareCredit to pay for the Cataract Surgery. To make matters worse, after the surgery, Milan Eye Center billing third party started sending bills for $3,900 for the same surgery. ; First of all. Milan Eye Center will NOT perform any surgery until the costs are all paid off in full, meaning you cannot enter the surgery room, hence why we had to take out the $5,000 loan. So a surgery that should have cost $2,000 with insurance ended up costing $5,000 + now they want another $3,900. Cataract Surgery is not $8,900, including insurance; the total to them should be $10,900? After the surgery, we spoke with the insurance. Milan Eye Center never filed it through them, even though they are in-network. After a year, we finally paid off the $5,000 loan we should have never had to taken out... and now they still want $3,900... As someone who has worked in healthcare, what this practice is doing is unethical and illegal. [Review 742] - 15th Review of 2025
