I have been wearing hard contact lenses for 55 years. Suffer from high Myopia and am self insured. To that end during a recent visit to Eyeclectic Vision Source, I was denied my contact lens perscription according to their "policy"-pending a fitment at additional cost. This is a clear violation of Fedral Law-The Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act (FCLCA) and the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Contact Lens Rule are the federal regulations that mandate this. I will be filing formal complaints with ALL governing authorities against the Business and specific personel to include my examing Dr. Dr. Ashka Patel who co conspired together with their contact lens"specialist". Lastly, there were no documented resluts of the exam test results uploaded to my patient portal despite my request via email to Dr. Ashka Patel. Alltogerther they took my money, waisted my time and delivered nothing. read more

Not only were my glasses made quickly, I was advised on the difference between the prescription in my current eyeglasses vs the prescription that I brought in. I've had glasses my whole life and have experienced a lot of doctors. I first went to Dr. Minty when I was new to Atlanta and what an experience! She asked me questions about my eyes that no doctor ever did, she was thorough, and very funny. I had a change of insurance which took me to another underwhelming eye doctor but I recently went back to Dr. Minty and she is still awesome! I recommend anyone to go and see Dr. Minty! read more

I switched providers at the beginning of the year and I am not disappointed! I met with Dr. Andrea K who was very kind and efficient. The front office staff was great with greeting me, getting me checked in and even offered water during my short wait. The process to get my eyes checked was seamless. David assisted me with picking out glasses. He was amazing- even when there needed to be a modification to my lenses, he was not only apologetic but efficient. He repaired 2 pairs of my glasses in under 10 minutes and even helped me find a replacement for a broken frame that's no longer manufactured! I really enjoyed my experience at Eyeclectic, and will definitely be back. Everything from making the appointment, to having the eye exam, to picking out glasses was so easy because of friendly, efficient people working there. Dr. Nguyen was friendly during our eye exam, and answered all my questions. I'd especially like to call out David, who was a huge help to me during the whole glasses process. He spent a bunch of time and helped me pick out a pair of frames I really liked based on some preferences I told him. The glasses arrived and looked beautiful! I ended up deciding not to go with glasses because of my strong prescription, and felt bad about changing my mind after the fact, but David helped me return the glasses and re-instate the insurance so quickly, and assured me I shouldn't feel bad! The staff are all super friendly and will answer any questions you may have whether it be about insurance, your prescription, glasses, etc. I bought a new pair of glasses about a year ago from them and they walked me through the breakdown of costs with my insurance coverage/allowance and it was so helpful to see! I've been seeing Dr. Andrea Knouff for 3 years now. The office is always very clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate how organized they are and I never have any issues with finances or my insurance. As for the treatment, the exam is very comprehensive with your typical "read the chart," but also pictures of your nerves and pressure readings--with no dilation! I feel confident that I'm getting excellent treatment and highly recommend this office. read more

Eyeclectic is a combination of eye and eclectic because they're eclectic and deal with eyes. Well, their name isn't as funny as For Eyes. But I give them props for a cute name. Their shop seem smaller than places I've been. So they seem to have fewer number of frames to choose from. I don't know if this is the place to go if you want a lot of choices for frames. The staff here are nice. The patient care coordinator, Lindakay did a great job evaluating me. She was fun and friendly. To look at the back of your eyes, they have a cool, R2-D2 looking machine to take pictures of the back of your eyes. You can pay $40 to do this instead of getting your pupil dilated. I think it's worth it since it gives an photographic record of your eyes. Besides, getting your pupil dilated sucks. Yay for technology. Once the machine takes your picture, it does a neat 3-D tour of the inside of your eyes. It looks like a ride at Epcot. As you're doing this, Dr. Knouff explains all the details of your eye. Dr. Knouff is very friendly person. She is warm, personable, and knows a lot about eyes. She makes you feel comfortable and answers your questions. I liked my experince at Eyeclectic. They have flexible work hours. They close at at 7PM on most days and open on Saturdays. That is great for people who have day jobs. I liked my experience. I highly recommend it. read more

This is by far my favorite vision place! David especially was so helpful and patient. I had brought in a prescription that was brand new (from Thomas eye group) and turns out it was way too strong. They redid the lenses with my older- still valid persciption and after a couple tries I am so happy with my new Tom Ford Eyeglasses. They also have the best selection by far of frames in all prices and their designer selection is also amazing. I will also return for my vision exam when needed. Wonderful experience from the scheduling of my appointment to picking out my glasses. They remind you about your appointment repeatedly all the way to the day of via phone and text. Very small office located in a jampacked Publix plaza. Thankfully was able to get a parking spot both times I went. My wait wasn't long, I was immediately seen upon completing my paperwork. More high tech than I'm used to and that's not a complaint. It's time for eye doctors to use more modern equipment that isn't as invasive. You know what I mean, the puff of air in the eye, the eyes getting dilated and blinding you for a day (they still do this for free but you can do the computerized version for an additional cost). I saw Dr. Nguyen who introduced herself by her first name. This caught me off guard and I felt so uncomfortable calling her by her first name. But I still appreciated that she did that, immediately made her more approachable. She was extremely considerate and warm. Listened to my concerns and brought to my attention, issues that I didn't realize I had with my eyes. I would recommend her to anyone who visits their office. The hardest part of my whole visit was picking a pair of eyeglasses because they were all so cute! I finally settled on a "normal" pair but if I had more cash, I probably would've bought another. I also got contacts which they are mailing to me so I don't have to make a third visit to pick them up. I really enjoyed my experience and hope next year's visit will go just as well. read more

Dr. Nguyen is fantastic! She pays attention to all details, Communicates well. State of the art equipment and office staff are helpful and cheerful. Postoperative Lasix procedure check-up is critical. It takes somebody who is highly educated with specialty knowledge skill and ability to be attentive to look for ALL the possible complications and evaluate appropriately. There were several things that were not perfect in the post-op check-up that she was able to identify, and immediately communicate to the surgeon. Tomography was well communicated. Questions were encouraged. I highly recommend this location. read more

Great appointment and full service from taking eye tests to seeing the doctor and purchasing glasses. There is a very short wait time in the lobby because appointments are scheduled in advance. The office is very aware of the covid-19 pandemic procedures and it requires a mask and the use of hand sanitizer by each patient. Dr. Knouff is great - she shows you the photos of your eyes and explains everything clearly. It was so interesting to learn from the detailed photos of my eyes. Kids love getting their eyes checked here. We've been here for 5 years now. We've gone to different places and the service and attention provided to our 4 kids at Eyeclectic is superb! My son (now 10) was given a wrong prescription (when he was 5) because of rushed service at another place and suffered from headaches because of that. Eyeclectic got him into the correct prescription and no more headaches. The kids enjoy getting their eyes checked and we've never had an issues. Kids also break their glasses a lot and the service provided to get them fix and back to us is always top notch! read more

My appointment was right on time and the staff was super friendly & spent a lot of time with me. I'm used to hurried appointments but Dr. Nguyen was patient and very thorough. He checked in on me a few times while I was just browsing, and then once I had narrowed down to a few styles and colors, he went to work. He offered honest, productive feedback and education on lens types. He has a super-chill, easygoing personality and makes sure you walk out with glasses that fit budget and style. I have an ancient pair of IC! Berlin 'nameless' that fell apart at the temple. Mr. David Martin, optician extraordinaire, was able to figure a way to get them fixed with processes that included welding (!!) the temple stanchion. I am in awe. Oh, and the price for this work? If you go anywhere else you're missing out! I had my first appointment at Eyeclectic today and I have to say I was blown away by the amazing staff they have. My initial greeting at check-in was by Ashley and she was so nice and welcoming. While Ashley is getting my paperwork done someone asked to see my current glasses, I had no idea why but I handed them over. A little while later they gave them back with new nose rests and cleaned up. I had never been here before and they were already fixing my glasses before I had even checked in! After going back with the other Ashley she did all the Of the preliminary tests to prepare me for the doctor. She was very nice, down to earth, and easy to talk to. It wasn't the cold quiet room that I was used to from my previous doctor. I was moved to the exam room and doctor Knouff came in to start the exam. She took her time and walked me through everything she was doing, as well as explaining her findings of what would be best for me. You can tell she honestly cares about her patients instead of just being a number. I also want to give Tim a huge thank you for his help with my frames and lenses add ons. I got new vision insurance at work so I looked up a place close to my office and was so pleasantly surprised! My appointment started off a little shaky but completely turned around. They fully explained my insurance benefits and helped me take advantage of as much as I could so I didn't have to pay much out of pocket. Also, Linda Kay is literally one of the nicest people I've ever met! I was actually excited to go back for my contact fit and follow up. They even have late hours a few days a week for people that work. Overall just very glad I found this new eye doctor! read more

Let me start by saying if you can't find a family like atmosphere for Vision purposes then look no further. My experience here was over the top and well worth it. As soon as your signed in your greeted with coffee/water. They continuously ask if you need anything throughout the visit. I had the option of being evaluated by Andrea the owner and she was phenomenal. Let's not forget the expert Tim. He actually gave me great options that my insurance covered and explained every single detail about things I didn't understand. Went here for an eye exam - I checked in 5 minutes before my appt as instructed. As I stood there, 3 out of the 5 employees walked around the office without masks. I left and explained that I would be cancelling my appt. due to lack of masks from employees walking around the office. The office manager defended the employees saying they were getting settled and it was a few minutes before they opened at 9am. They asked me to arrive early and the office was open as I (the customer) was inside checking in so not sure how that explanation holds water. I won't be back and I suggest no one else go here if you value your safety during COVID. read more

I visited Eyeclectic for the first time about a week and a half ago. They got me in for an appointment same day (I've never had that happen with previous eye doctors, and I've been going to eye doctors for at least 20 years). Everything was effortless... by far the best experience I've ever had. Dr. Knouff is really nice, and I genuinely felt like her priority was my well-being and my satisfaction with the experience (as compared to previous experiences where I'm penciled in a week out, only to wait 30 minutes in a waiting room past when my appointment was scheduled, then rushed through the process and prescribed whatever drug the doctor is currently receiving the most commission for prescribing). Typically, going to doctors is stressful for me because I feel like I have to ask a lot of questions to avoid getting screwed into unnecessary charges that insurance doesn't cover, being prescribed brand name drugs when there are generics available, etc. In the end, I'd be lucky to have received anything but vague/confusing answers and bills that leave me wondering if my eyes are more important than my kidney. This visit specifically was due to an irritation under my eyelids caused by my contacts. It happened once before about 2 years ago and the doctor prescribed me a $200+ 5ml bottle of brand-name drops. Dr. Knouff at Eyeclectic prescribed essentially the same thing, but the version that cost me less than $10, and is apparently more potent as well. Oh, and they're open for appointments on Saturdays. I LOVE Eyeclectic, Dr. Knouff, and the whole staff here. They are super friendly and you can tell that they enjoy working together. Dr. Knouff helped me out with going from being a non-committal glasses wearer to a contacts girl! I was so scared about sticking contact lenses in my eyes but her team was so incredibly helpful. When I got pink eye from one of my students and went to a doc-in-a-box who gave me horrible help, Dr. Knouff saw me without an appointment! She told me to come to her straight away next time because she's experienced in medical eye care as well as vision. She saw that I have viral conjunctivitis (yay me..) and prescribed me the proper medication and steroid eye drops. Get this. She didn't even charge me any money for my visit. She is so generous!!! I have referred my husband to this eye doctor and they helped him pick out his new glasses and contacts very quickly and efficiently. It was so convenient when I ran out of contacts and called the office and they had some in stock for me! If I were unemployed, I think it'd be so much fun to work here ;) Great team! read more

*Update at bottom of review* My first appointment here was in early October, and it was just a routine visit---I wanted an eye exam so I could have an updated prescription for new contacts and glasses. I have been very nearsighted my entire life (in glasses since I was eight), so I know the drill. We had a fine exam and everyone was very polite and friendly, and Jenny helped me try on several frames until I found a pair I really liked. When I left that day, I was looking forward to receiving my new glasses. About a week later, I got the call that my glasses were in. I came by the store, tried them on, and it felt like I was in a fishbowl. As I said, I've been wearing glasses and contacts for years, so I could tell something wasn't right. I said things looked way off, but I was told I "just needed some time to adjust" to them. I took the glasses home and tried to wear them for a few days but couldn't because they made me nauseated and gave me a headache. I took the glasses back. As it turns out, my ocular center (where the prescription is placed in the lens based on where my eye looks out through them) was completely off. Also, the angle of the glasses was off, so they weren't sitting square on my face. They sent the glasses off to have them adjusted and remade. About a week later, I got the second call that my glasses were in. I tried them on again, and things were less like a fishbowl but still didn't seem right. I was told again that I "just needed to adjust" so I took them home again and tried to wear them for a few more days. They still gave me a headache and made me nauseated, and still weren't sitting squarely on my face, so I took them back again. This time, Dr. Knouff saw me again. She essentially redid my eye exam and discovered that she had a blatantly wrong prescription in my left lens. She tried to explain it, saying "We have to do this a lot with patients who are as nearsighted as you, just because their eyes are so sensitive to any little changes in the prescription." (For the record, my prescription is around a -8 in my right eye and similar in my left eye, but with an astigmatism.) I answered the standard "one or two" questions to find a better prescription, and my glasses were sent off to be remade again. About a week later, I got the third call that my glasses were in. I tried them on and felt like the prescription was really close, but the frames still weren't sitting square on my face. There was another pair of the same frames that did sit square, so Dr. Knouff wanted to use my lenses in those frames. She couldn't change the lenses herself, though, and asked me to come back after Thanksgiving when Jenny would be back. I left without my glasses. After Thanksgiving, I came back for the fourth time to pick up my glasses. I tried them on again and this time the frames were square and I was able to drive in them. I was really optimistic until I got home and tried to read a book---they still felt way overcorrected for anything I tried to look at near myself. Still, I thought maybe I just needed to give it more time, so I wore them to the office the next day. I work on a computer, and I had to change into my contacts after about an hour because I had such an awful headache from looking at the screen through my glasses. I just can't wear them. When I called back to say that somehow the prescription still wasn't working, I was told that "The only option would be to go back to the prescription in your old glasses." I asked for a refund, since I don't really feel confident in their ability to fix it on their fifth try, and was told, "Well, we were charged each time we had to remake the glasses, so we didn't make any money on this anyway. A refund is impossible." I asked if there was any way I could get more contacts instead, since I used up my insurance benefits on this pair of glasses and will run out of contacts in five more months. I was told that they would check on additional contacts for me. That was ten days ago (Dec 19) and I have yet to hear back. I am frustrated and feel stuck, because I would have to pay full price for a new eye exam elsewhere, but I have ample evidence that this place can't get my prescription right even after essentially two exams. ***Update: January 8, 2015 - Dr. Knouff did call me back to address this issue with me and try one more time to get me into glasses that work. She offered to put my current glasses prescription into my new frames and provide the additional contacts I requested. When I went in last night to pick up my extra contacts and the new frames, she checked my vision in the new pair to make sure they would work. They finally feel like the right power (not overcorrected) and I felt satisfied and thankful for her persistence in working to get the right prescription. She then insisted on giving me a refund since it had taken so much time to get the prescription right. So despite some struggle, I have what I need now. Thanks Dr. Knouff! read more
