I had an appointment at Ross Eye Care Group for 8:45am. As I got caught up in World Cup Traffic and realized I would be 5 minutes late for my appointment, I called to advise them. I was told that appointments were given a 15 minute grace period. The receptionist then asked if I would be able to get there by 9:00am. I told her my GPS was showing I would but I didn't know what traffic would do. She thanked me for calling and we hung up. I wound up arriving at 9:03am due to 2 lanes being blocked because of an accident. I was told that I would have to reschedule because I was a new patient and there was paperwork I would have to fill out. I asked why the receptionist didn't tell me that I wouldn't be seen if I was past the grace period. The check-in person said that she heard the receptionist tell me that they give a 15 minute grace period. To be clear, the receptionist didn't tell me my appt would be canceled. I asked if 3 minutes really made that big of a difference and she said "yes because I was a new patient". So, after traveling 90 minutes to get to this appt based on a friend's recommendation, I left without seeing anyone. I understand that doctors have tight schedules, you as the patient have to allow for Atlanta rush hour traffic (which I did do by buffering for an extra 45 minutes) and they told me I had a 15 minute grace period. I am frustrated that I now have to turn around over 3 minutes. I guess if you have to give one patient more grace, it's too much. They have their rules and I have my disappointment. I advise anyone making a morning appointment to allow 60 minutes because 45 wasn't enough for me personally. This office rates high. I'm sure they are great if you're lucky enough to get there on time. read more

I was referred to Ross Eye Care Group by a trusted professional colleague, and I had high expectations. I'm very particular about my eye doctor, but unfortunately, scheduling an appointment has been a terrible experience. For context, I haven't even seen a doctor yet because I've spent 19 days and exchanged 21 emails just trying to schedule an appointment--only to arrive and be told my appointment wasn't confirmed. How does that even happen? My name and DOB were clearly in the email chain, yet instead of focusing on scheduling, the front desk was more concerned with asking irrelevant questions like whether I had insurance. I never asked if you accepted my insurance--I asked to book an appointment! I'll update this review if my actual visit goes well, but based on my experience with the front desk, I'm not impressed so far. read more

The receptionist is the face of the office, and an office with decent ratings should be more selective in their hiring. When I called to ask about scheduling an appointment for an upcoming Saturday, the receptionist responded, "This Saturday? Your doctor doesn't even work on Saturdays!" She didn't offer any alternative availability until I specifically asked. Her tone throughout the call was unprofessional. It was very off putting, and makes one not want to go back. read more

Terrible experience! This place completely messed up my prescription, and when I told them I was feeling dizzy with my new glasses, they dismissed my concerns, saying it was 'normal.' I know my body, and something was clearly wrong, but instead of taking accountability, they kept insisting everything was fine. To make matters worse, they refused to give me a refund, so now I'm stuck with glasses I can't wear. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service or honest customer care. I ended up going to Salle Opticians and had them do my prescription. I gave them the same prescription to have Ross and when I put on my new glasses I could see perfect, no dizziness. Don't waste your time or money with this company. They don't care about their patients only making money. read more

Staff are working hard. The optometrist was very pleasant and efficient. Explained things and answered my questions. He asked me questions about my lifestyle and how I was seeing, what my history was. I think he did a thorough exam. There was no hard sell on the glasses frames or contacts. There's also a lot of parking available! Was happy with the experience of the first visit. Btw I got the drops that dilate your eyes. It was hard to go outside even with the sunglasses insert. I ended up going to a nearby restaurant within the same shopping plaza, to eat and not be outside or drive until my eyes could focus better again. That probably took a good hour. Make sure you have some plan for after the eye exam, if you are like me! read more

I got my prescription glasses and contacts , even though the process took longer than anticipated, Dr. Robert was very through and made me feel comfortable. I hope to revisit him on a regular basis in the future. However, I had an unpleasant experience due to hydrogen peroxide solution being distributed to me along with my contacts. It was an excruciatingly painful lesson learnt for me. After my initial review I got a call personally from Dr.Robert to check up on my eye and apologizing for their mistake. I really appreciated that and my eye eventually got better. read more

Ross Eyecare is located in buckhead right in the Sidney Marcus area. Easy to get to - right off 85/400. I've been going to Dr. Bloom since 2012. Being from up north, I was always skeptical of the doctors and their quality so I'm a little biased in my search for doctors. I tend to gear to those who had a northern residency lol!! Anywho, this find was one was by accident. My co worker recommended him and I was skeptical of her eyesight but figured it's in buckhead I'd give it a try. Dr. Bloom has been amazing since 2012! I'm never going anywhere else! The staff are great. They tend to be quick with your paperwork and you aren't left waiting around for long periods of time. I've heard people complain about the pricing on the glasses but I mean you're paying for what you want! And I want quality. This time I purchased Kate spade. My last glasses were to big of a frame for my face so I decided to go with a frame I'm familiar with. The parking is great I usually get a spot on the front row in front of the door everytime and no charge. My appointment was at 7 and I was in and out! I even opted for the retina optical which is a new technology that allows them to view the full eye without getting dilated and I loved that! It was only $39 but totally worth it if you aren't tryna wear those old people glasses for the rest of the day. Can't wait until next year! Lol read more

I visited for a contact and glasses fitting. Doc experience was A+, outside of a bit of misleading information regarding the ease at which I could return to try a different pair of contacts, but after returning to try a different pair of contacts.. Laura at the front desk couldn't look me in the eye while speaking, didn't ask "how are you?" or anything of that nature, and was generally rude during the course of our 1.5 min interaction, while dismissing my words and trying to book me for an additional appointment ($300 wasn't enough y'all?). So now I'm stuck with a contacts prescription of lenses that I do not want (eye fatigue) because I'd rather suffer than deal with people like Laura on my Saturday afternoon, no matter how pleasant the doctors are. There are a million places that offer their services, I recommend you try somewhere else. read more

When I fist moved to Atlanta 25 years ago, I picked an eye doctor close to my new apartment. That eye doctor started a basic eye exam, saw what had been diagnosed as an astigmatism was actually keratoconus - and said I should go see Dr Ross - "he's the guy." Best advice I've ever received.
