Look for add ons you didn't approve or not covered in your plan. I understand an occasional account over site but this has been going on for 7 weeks. Every time I call it's basically "hehe IT messed up" I am unsure why IT department has anything to do with a balance. Office manager is almost never in the office or they are just always covering for her. I think the doctor is wonderful but we can NOT trust the front office of our insurance and money. If I could give this place overall a negative star I would. My mother recently received her new prescription lenses, and the first time she received them, they were not done properly. She has then return and the prescription was corrected. However, the fit on the glasses is still off, and she has tried going in to have this issue resolved and today she was screamed at and basically pushed out the door. Some extremely rude woman told her to GET OUT. After she questioned why the posted hours showed that the business was still open. This is absolutely unacceptable. Have a bit of an unusual situation with a contact lens order. Have talked to dr about it, office manager, and have reached out to a supervisor twice and went by office, without a response in over 2 weeks. Am overall very frustrated, and upset. They talk a sweet talk, but no action. They referred me to contact lens manufacturer, who then referred me back to clinic telling me the clinic needs to initiate action, which they deny is their responsibility. Who to believe? Alcon or Clarkson eye???? Dr Bang is a good dr, but the service (or lack thereof) and pricing are a definite problem. I have given them more than ample time to address the issue, and since I've received none, you get my very negative review. Don't go there! read more

Well they give some BS reason as to why they can't provide you your full prescription so you essentially have to order their overpriced frames. I would give this office and its staff a "0" star. I decided to go to this office because it was closer to my home. My former and now again eye doctor is located in Alpharetta (Premier Eye Care) and voted #1 in eye care this year. Anyway, I decided to try Clarkson Eye Care, and here was my experience" 1. The person who helped me pick out glasses needed to be trained in the field. She proceeded to share her life story about her baby daddy's issues etc and so on. Extremely unprofessional. 2. After paying for my eyeglasses - I had to do all the follow-up regarding when they were in. The office lacks complete professionalism and follow-up. 3. Upon receiving my eyeglasses, one pair had the wrong prescription and my corridor-length vision was incorrect. This was the biggest issue since I travel overseas often and had not worn them for a while until I was back overseas. In short, I made an appointment to have the corrected lenses popped in when I came back to the US. I scheduled my appointment 4 months in advance. I came in on the day of the appointment only to be told they had no record of the appointment nor any record of my request for the new lenses. The person I had worked with was let go and apparently, since the office lacked communication the information was never passed on. Upon arrival, same guy at front desk informed my wife that they don't take medical insurance! We get an eye exam every year covered by blue cross blue shield. the guy said they only take eye insurance. it would be $185 per person to proceed! nobody said that on any of the calls prior to the appointment. their website plainly said they take insurance and eye insurance. DO NOT GO THERE!!! The office has no idea how to validate and confirm insurance coverage. This was partly my fault. My insurance plan changed but my premiums stayed consistent with previous years (my company was acquired and the plan changed). My 3 kids and I have been going there for years. I discovered I had been overpaying on eyeglasses and contact lenses for YEARS. I never looked at the online EOB, again my fault. I should have been paying around $50 for eyeglasses but was actually paying about $260-$290 for glasses for three years. The office only gave me my money back for the current year (2022) and just pocketed my money...noting it was at their discretion to refund it since the overpayments related to 2020 and 2021. I should have brought it to their attention earlier. Sometimes they didn't even process it through the insurance...I was paying retail prices when I had insurance. THIEVES! I overpaid over $1K and they just keep my money. NEVER AGAIN. The doctors are fine but the office manager, ANGEL, 0 stars! read more

I've experienced better here but there is a new front desk staff member that made my last experience very bad. Her name is Karen and she is rude. She acts as if she is bothered when you ask a question and rolls her eyes. Karen also give wrong info. I asked about purchasing frames elsewhere and she stated that they can't put prescriptions in frames not purchased through them. That is totally false! Received a bill in February 2019 for a balance from March 2018, even though I was there for my yearly eye exam in January 2019. When I called to inquire, I was told that billing had not been done and sent out for A YEAR!! These people over charge, don't take responsibility for their billing inefficiencies and are not competent to let patients know their financial obligations at the time of service. Came in for reading glasses. After exams Dr said I would benefit from bifocals. I explained I don't care for bifocals and one of the 5 reasons was the line about the reading area. I was told the now offered with no line. Dr said and I quote " try them for 30 days and if you don't like them we'll swap them out. " Returned asking how to communicate with Dr, email ? Another appointment ?Needed to discuss our next move because I didn't like the bifocals glasses. Manager said no refunds and I would deal with her. No refunds. I was told to leave after paying $ 1,100.00 for glasses I didn't wont. If Dr had not offered " try them and return them " I would have walked out with my reading glasses. Why would the Dr violate his own policy, I'll never know. I figure he thought I would fall in love with the bifocals and he would never see me again but when I came back I was told to leave. would like to say that things started out well with this place, but in reality it was a horrible experience to begin with. I called on a Friday afternoon looking to get an appointment for the next week and to my surprise they had an appointment available as Monday morning (in retrospect that isn't such a surprise). So today (Monday), I load up my 8 week old baby to take with me to my 10:20 appointment. I make sure to get there early in case I need to fill out paperwork. It was 10:11 when I walked in. Immediately we had issues. The girl at the front counter said I wasn't in the system and asked another girl about it, they sent me around to talk to her. She went and talked to another girl (who was Tanya, who I made the appointment with, and apparently the manager?) Who said that the system was down when I called on Friday and that she hadn't put me in yet. Okay, great, so now I go fill out paperwork. I barely get started on the paperwork when they come and tell me that they will not be able to bill my Medicaid vision insurance because I have a Major Medical provider... I have a catastrophic plan for health insurance. It has ZERO to do with vision, as I have experienced with EVERY medical insurance I have ever had. So then they ask me for my medical insurance card. I don't have a medical insurance card and I certainly wouldn't have thought to bring it to an eye doctor! I call Medicaid myself TWICE while in the lobby and they assure me that I do in fact have coverage and that the eye doctor should be billing them directly and not trying to go through my medical plan that won't cover it. During this time a lady in the waiting room is becoming impatient because it is well past her appointment time. I didn't hear what time her appointment was, but I heard the girl at the counter reassure her that she would be next. I ask that they call my insurance (Medicaid) with me so that we can talk to them together since Medicaid is telling me one thing and the eye Dr office is telling me another... They of course call while I am there but don't involve me in the call. Basically mobley eye care wanted me to pay 100% out of pocket (since they know that my catastrophic medical plan that doesn't include vision at all, will not cover vision) and that once they get the denial in a couple of weeks that they would then bill (the appropriate insurance that they should have billed the first time) Medicaid. Then if they get reimbursed that they would reimburse me. When my insurance has now told me over a half dozen times that this is covered, and mobley eye care keeps telling me that they will "reimburse me if they get reimbursed" that is a red flag. I left and said I would leave a yelp review as they have a sign posted saying they will send you $10 if you leave a review. I'm sure I will never see that $10 either. I called back to speak to a manager, that's when I talked to Tanya again. She said she called her GM to see if they would authorize billing my vision insurance directly instead of having me pay out of pocket while they wait for a denial from my medical insurance. She said that they said no, that I could pay full price out of pocket and get reimbursed. Medicaid didn't seem to understand what there problem was, and my medical insurance probably wouldn't understand why they were sending a claim for vision. I was there 50 minutes and only saw the one lady who was promised she was next go back. Luckily my 8 week old was patient the whole time. I'm really disappointed on so many levels. They made it seem so easy on the phone. I was excited to go. The building seemed nice, maybe it's new. There was tons of parking, I could park right up front. They do seem to have an issue with used tissues lying around. There was one right in front of the girl at the side counter. They should have been able to see that and pick it up. There were two on a table in the lobby, one on each side like they were from different people. I don't even know where these tissues came from as they were white and the tissues they had in the box were off white. I used one myself and noticed there wasn't a trashcan anywhere that I could see, so perhaps that is why people just leave them wherever? The staff should really pick them up though as that's pretty gross. I have never had such a bad experience at an eye doctor before, and I didn't even see the doctor! Today is the last day my whole family will be taking their money to this place!!! My brother and I were there a few weeks ago. He had the option of FREE framed through his insurance. He didn't like any so the lady showed us another section where frames where $110. So he picked one from that section. We proceed and paid, then as we were leaving she came outside and told us we needed to pay extra $30 dls at pick up because some metal they had to cut from the frame, which I told her it was fine. Today my husband went to pick up the glasses and he got 2 pairs!!! I called they explained to me the 2nd pair we had to get it no matter what because it's a benefit from the insurance which I understood. My anger is because I feel ripped off. Never ever was I told that since the beginning. Never did he choose the Free frames which it's why we jumped to the other section and paid $110 for the frame. If that was the case I would have made him choose from the free frame and saved $110 dls. now he stuck with a frame he didn't even like. When I spoke to the lady that did the sale, not once took ownership, she kept fighting me that we choose two frames. Disappointed read more

This was the closest eye care facility that takes Kaiser Medicare Advantage. Unfortunately, the quality of their work is poor and they charge triple what others do. None of their frames are under $200. On the initial visit they charged $55 for the eye exam, which was fine, and $230 for the bifocals. We assumed they would bill Kaiser for the rest. However, when we came to pick up the glasses, they said they had miscalculated and we owed another $270. The receipt shows their total for one pair of bifocals was over $1000!!! Then a month later, one of the lenses fell out of the glasses. We brought them back immediately and they went back and forth saying they couldn't fix it, but finally someone did. We asked for a copy of the prescription, which they had not originally provided and went to Pearl Vision and bought a back-up pair (frame and bifocals for $230). Two months after that the same thing happened with the Mobley glasses. This time they said they would have to send the glasses back to the lab, refusing to offer any type of refund. We'll see what happens after they "fix" them at the lab. Any new pair of glasses will NOT be bought at Mobley!! read more

She went above and beyond and did additional tests to better explain what was going on. After my exam the optician, Sabriya, really helped me choose the contacts that were best for me. It was my first fist to Mobley Eye Care and the front office team was great. Unfortunately the doctor would not let me accompany my wife during the eye exam process (and it was NOT due to COVID -19 Protocols). Before seeing the doctor I explained to the technician I would like to accompany my wife during the eye exam procedure because she struggles with processing information, instructions and/or directions. The technician allowed me to be present while conducting initial eye tests. The technician informed me she would have to check with the doctor to determine if it was permissible for me to join my wife during the exam that would be conducted by the doctor. Unfortunately the doctor did not give permission and I was told that everything which occurred during the exam would be shared after the exam. No other reason. I requested a refund and canceled two future eye exam appointments scheduled for me and my son's. Customer Service needs work... support small local businesses??? read more

Horrible customer service. My mom brought my son in to get glasses because I had to work. I was able to get off early so I met them up there. My mom tells me that my son got water from the water fountain that was next to a huge mirror. So he apparently got water on the mirror. My mom said she heard her call his name sternly. She then proceeded to give him window cleaner and paper towel to clean the mirror. She said my son start to cry. After my mom told me this I ask her what happened because my son was crying and she did apologize and said that he wasn't spitting or anything but just making faces and water got on the mirror. Apparently my mom said something as well. She said she also had a kid his age (8) and felt like he should clean up after himself. I stated I understand but if he has a guardian with him then maybe you should speak to them first. She was like your mom was way over there so I just said something myself. The place is not big I said well you still could of spoke with my mom and she got upset and hand me a card and said we have cameras all over so if you'd like to speak with my manager here is the number, OK. I called the number she gave me and they said the lady was not the manager and took down my information for her to contact me but she never did. My mom mentioned something to another employee who then said well in her defense a mirror fail on a child before and seriously hurt them, that why she was upset. Which was crazy. If that happened why call my child to the mirror to press on it while "cleaning it?" WHAT IF IT FAIL ON HIM? What if he had a reaction to whatever she was spraying? I'm a nurse and kids are all over the office if there is a problem I address the adult that is with them. Very unprofessional and even more so for the manager to never call. read more

If i could give a -10 i would, granddaughter got new glasses (12-17-19) and after 2 days (12-19-19) they started falling apart, went back in for them to fix them and they refused, said I could buy another pair of frames!!!!! Worst eye place ever to save yourself a headache I wouldn't recommend going here and to wait to do a review until the service is complete. I was never told about getting a thinning lense option and ended up with metal frames thicker than Steve Erkles glasses after spending over $1000 in other frames Tonya says my insurance didn't cover it not sure if that was her excuse for not giving me the option and to top it off I didn't get my $189 back that I paid for the glasses that was incorrect due to their mistake. Horrible customer service. I went through an ordeal to bring my mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, into the office for an exam and new glasses. The process was grueling, but the doctor was patient and attentive. Due to a hectic work schedule, it took me about a month to get back to the office to pick up my mother's glasses. I finally got around to getting them yesterday. My mother wasn't with me so I didn't pay any attention or examine the glasses before the guy at the front desk put them in a sleeve for me. I drove to my mother's nursing home and gave the glasses to one of the nurses. Before I left she stopped me, to show me something. The frame was cracked. I couldn't believe it. I called Mobley right away and told a woman who answered the phone what happened. She told me to bring them back. I wouldn't be able to make it there before closing that day so she told me to just come in the next day. Today I show up with glasses in hand and explain the situation again. This time the receptionist at the counter looks at the glasses and tells me the glasses were dropped. I tell her they were not dropped and went from my hand to the nurse's hand. She continued to insist that was not the case. Perhaps the glasses were dropped...in their office before I received them. She called for the gentleman who gave me the glasses yesterday. Of course, he said he examined them before he gave them to me. But since he's cock-eyed, just maybe somebody else should be doing that final lookover instead. After I was told they wouldn't do anything about it, the big boned lady behind the counter said they could fix it for $49. I snatched the glasses out of her hand and left. "Have a nice day," she said sarcastically. So I cursed her out as walked through the door. Since Brookdale Vinings recommended this Optometrist to me, and the nurse there is my witness, I will make sure the director never recommends this establishment to another resident. This is the worst place ever. The ugly lady with poorly applied makeup in the office (Tanya) is absolutely rude. She accused me of not paying for my service when I did and had the receipt to prove. I visited the office after finding them online. I got there about 30 minutes prior to closing and picked out a frame. After sitting down with Angela I told her I would call on Friday, after I spoke with my prior optician of 20 years, in Michigan to see exactly what features I have always had. I explained that I wanted a "slight" tint. After 2 weeks I go to get my glasses and the were as dark as sunglasses. I confirmed with her again, that I said slight. Never did she give a sample of the tints...although she stated she did. I went again to pick the glasses up and they're still dark. I called her and expressed that I was dissatisfied and that I didn't want them that dark. After going back and forth she acknowledged I would bring them back to be corrected as I requested. Five minutes later she calls and says the office manager said I would have to pay an additional $35 to have them made as I requested in the beginning. If your policy states that's you are "dedicated to providing high-quality optometry services in a comfortable environment", how am I paying additional to have my glasses as I requested in the first place? The prices are reasonable (with and without insurance) and the staff is always friendly and professional. I have purchased both contacts and glasses at this location. The Doctor was nice but the facility is horrible. When we got there they said we would need to wait because they had slid in a couple people ahead of us, Then we tried looking at the glasses while we waited hoping to save time there and they would not come out and wait on us, After a while we were using the tools on one of the desks to find a type we were interested in. Some Large blonde woman said she could not have us touching her things on her desk she would need us to sit in the corner left side. Really did she think we were visiting her home? Obviously we went elsewhere for our purchases. We only stayed for the appointment because it was so hard to obtain one with hours easy for us.
