I love this Visionworks location because of the staff. The people in the back who handle the exams are super efficient and professional. The people in the front who help get your glasses are friendly and helpful. They always work to get you the best price on frames and lenses. Usually I get my glasses in about two weeks but this time they were ready for pick up in less than a week. read more

Everyone involved with testing my eyes to exam was great. Where everything went wrong was when I needed to exchange my glasses because the lens are not correct. Watch out for Donna at the front desk. She violates your HIPAA rights in an open area. She thinks she is a physician and knows what is best for you. She discussed my exam results in public with other employees while being disrespectful. Even more insult to injury...she bent and melted the frame of my glasses until now they are warped and out of shape. She told me I need to get use to them and this is how we adjust them. She badgered me to read small print in the lobby area and continue to try to diminish me in an open area. When I sent an email to Visonworks Customer Service, they in turn sent it back to the local branch which Donna intercepted. When I received a call from the branch, I had no idea it was Donna leaving the message. She knew who I was and no apology on the voicemail. When I called back, she continued to be rude and disrespectful. Once I found and realized it was her, I have been trying to get in touch with management to no avail. This is the reason for the 2 stars. If not because of Donna I would have given them 5 stars easily. I have been patient. After all I am trying to keep this a local issue. If I do not receive a response, my patience is thin now. I will file a HIPAA complaint on the federal level and with VisionWorks HIPAA HQ compliance officer. All I ask is to uphold your 100-day guarantee and a pair of glasses to help not cause a safety hazard due to lens being overkill for my prognosis. Then that can become another lawsuit should something happen while being under your prescription lens. read more

If you're interested in coming to this location be advised that they don't have good customer service. I filled out paperwork a total of 3 times. Online and in person. Once I came back to pick up my glasses/contacts they tell me they don't have an address for me and no order on the system. The day I went for the try on consult for the contacts the lady was no help, I was the one asking the questions. There was no flow of a conversation and information I should have been given/told. Lacking in customer service and basic understanding of placing orders. I shouldn't have to come in on my own accord just for them to find out they never placed an order or missing personal information. I basically waited a month for ME to figure out they never ordered my glasses/contacts. PLEASE DO BETTER. read more

Customer service is terrible. Even when you call, and inform them of a potential late arrival they still cancel your appointment after 10 minutes. They also do eye exams in view of the public. No privacy or exam rooms. Do Not Recommend! Very Ghetto. read more

I waited a month for appointment here and was refused service. I'm under doctor's orders to not wear a mask (breathing issues) and explained this. At no time when I made the appointment was I informed this would be an issue. Also, in the dozen or so email/text reminders, there was no indication this would be an issue. When I arrived, I was asked to put on a mask. I explained that I'm not able to because I'm under doctor's orders not to. The gentleman at the desk was polite, but the woman he called up front was not. There's apparently a special number you have to call to get an appointment at a special time when you are in my situation. Again, no warning of this ahead of time. I don't have another month to wait for another appointment. So now I get to change eye doctors. Absolutely ridiculous. I figured, of all people, a doctor's office would have understood the issue of being under a doctor's orders. I get policies, and I know the mask issue is a sensitive topic for some. But I don't choose to have breathing issues. I was courteous and polite. I explained my issue without being rude or obnoxious and was essentially shoved out the building. My daughter had an appointment and we were 5 minutes late. The overall experience was such a drag. Their waiting area is tiny! It felt like everyone was sitting on top of each other. After about 30 min of being cramped, a lady came to say there's additional seating up front. Now it's been 45 minutes and we have not been seen. My girls were getting antsy and I was just tired of waiting. After an hour, the eye tech called my daughter back to do the prescreening stuff. She was extremely sweet and did a great job at making my daughter feel comfortable. We then returned to our seats to wait to be seen by the doctor. Had this review been based on the doctor alone, he would have gotten 5 stars. He was humble, compassionate, and professional. He as well did an amazing job with my daughter. I asked a ton of questions and he was patient with us. They only had one doctor on staff, which is why it took so long. read more

I did a lot of research reading about where to go for glasses. This place had good reviews. Previously I had been using Walmart with ok results. The staff is friendly and they where able to get me in quickly. The glasses did take a few weeks to get in, which is normal. I chose the progressive lenses and they fit well, but I was concerned about the bison quality. They said it took time to getting used too. After a month, I've had trouble with focusing on both the long distance and close vision. Everything looks like it's leaning, as if I'm in a fun tunnel at the carnival. What's worse is I found an old pair of glasses from two years ago and the work Way better. Highly disappointed in this place, especially for how much I paid. High prices and I assume probably made overseas. Might want to do some investigation before you choose a place like Update: I changed my rating after speaking with Visionworks. They scheduled an appointment for me. They were very professional and extremely careful and provided PPE items for me while they completely redid the exam and reordered new glasses. The glasses were shipped to my house and are awesome. It's nice they went the extra mile. Thank you to all the staff and Dr.'s at the Paulding location. You have a life time customer. read more

The optometrist conducted the exam virtually and the location is closed Sunday through Tuesday. It didn't sit well with me for the optometrist not being physically present. The hours are definitely an inconvenience to customers. Due to being out of town over the weekend, we are unable to pick up glasses until Wednesday. This was our first and last at this location. read more

I went to this Visionworks in December to get an eye exam and new glasses. The exam was about $50, a little more than Walmart or Target, but I have absolutely no complaints about the optometrist who checked my eyes. I had a less desirable experience with the person that was selling me the glasses. She recommended "progressive" lenses and claimed those would allow me to see better. The total for two pair came out to almost $1000! I told her that's too much and she then proceeded to give me all kinds of sales pitches that made me feel like I was in a used car sales lot. When I told her again the price was too much, she conveniently found a coupon in her corporate email that reduced the price to $690 and told me she wasn't supposed to use that coupon so don't tell anyone. I said it was still too much and somehow the price was further reduced to $598. I purchased the two pair for that price, but my experience resulted in the feeling that I had been ripped off by still paying too much. I probably did... I must say I am very happy with the quality of the product I received, but I didn't really need or care for the expensive progressive lenses. Don't sell me something I don't really need by using car salesmen tricks, Visionworks! read more

Very negative experience with the manager and her husband. When I arrived at the door for my 8:30 appointment at 8:25, I was ignored. The sign said they opened at 9. It was cold so I returned to my truck. A man who had just dropped off an employee approached me and told me they couldn't open early and to stop being a d*ck. He then proceeded to flip me off and approached my vehicle trying to intimidate. After they unlocked the doors I went in and tried to check in for the optometrist but the attendant refused to wait on me because of her husband who was now standing behind me continuing to try and engage me in an argument. She then claimed I was making her uncomfortable although I never raised my voice, used profanity, or made threatening moves or comments toward anyone. In fact, I was keeping my distance standing several feet away from the counter giving her space. When I asked who the manager was, she stated she was so I left and asked her to cancel my appointment. read more

This location is the bees knees..everyone I encountered today had top notch customer service. It started with the front desk young lady from Guyana..(I'm sorry I forgot her name)..very pleasant personality..I practically told her my life story....then the young lady who made me read those little letters...and blew air in both eyes..really nice..then to top it off the Opthamologist was vey knowledgeable and explained all that was going on with my eyesight and what I needed to be able see better....he was awesome and his breath didnt stink. I picked out frames..paid over 100.00 dollars for all I needed and I should receive my new eyes in 10 days. I recommend this location to all. Thanks team! read more

We were there for our yearly visit with an optometrist! We were greeted as soon as we walked in with the friendly staff! We were taken right back to the nice ladies (who I did not get their names) to give our insurance to. They were friendly, sweet and funny to test our eyes and find our files from last year. They took us back to the doctor where he dilated, checked and informed us of our vision numbers! We were checking out with Angie when she informed us of our vision benefits and what glasses we would be able to get for this years benefits as well as last years (missed) benefits we were still eligible to receive. We ended up getting 4 pairs of prescription reading glasses for very little money!! I would highly recommend this Visionworks for your needs. read more

I was in store the other day and I over heard the manager yelling at a woman with her child with her over a $20 fee. I never saw this kind of disrespect and sarcasm to a CUSTOMER. I wasn't going to write a review but it stuck with me in a bad way. I hope corporate sees this and makes changes. She didn't have to scream at that lady with her child with her like that. I visited this store on Sunday and had superior customer service while there. The follow-up since however has been terrible. The timeframe that they gave me for receiving my daughter's glasses turns out to be almost double what they promised while we were in the store. The manager, Maria Burrows has no business working in a customer service or management role, as she is clearly not versed in either one. Her people skills are atrocious and I will be sure to let everyone I know in West Cobb & East Paulding NEVER to do business with this store. read more

I'm very disappointed and unsatisfied with the way my son and I were treated today by the GM April Scott. She as very unprofessional and sarcastic from the moment she walked over to us. Yesterday after an employee told me something that I knew was untrue about my insurance, I called to make share my experience with April this morning. I was advised that her employee told her my insurance company was called on speaker in front of me but their offices were closed, so she couldn't verify my benefits. I told her that was a completely untrue, because the employee never called my insurance company to verify anything. I thought that I was going to get this rectified going back today around 6:40pm, but boy was I wrong. They insisted to tell me that o was responsible for paying a fee eventhough my son wasn't getting an eye exam. He was only getting his glasses. April walked over to the employee that was helping me and sarcastically kept referring to me as she (not by my first name), but the entire time she was talking to the employee and not me. She kept blurting out...She is not happy with our service, She isn't dissatisfied with issues she's had in the past. After she was done I let her know that it was very rude of her to address me that way. I asked for her mngr and she stated that she was the GM, but I know she has a manager of her. After I asked for her business card and walking out of the door, she began to mock me by making kissing noises and asked that I never come back to HER store (as she put it). I will never give them any of my business and I will be contacting their corporate office in the morning. This entire ordeal was racially motivated and I could feel her energy when she approved my teenage son and I!! I wanted to give them a 0 rating, but yelp doesn't allow it. read more
