Okay, we're back in business. Let's start with the optometrist. **** Dr. Marvin Howell is excellent. His exam was more thorough than exams I've had in the past. In addition -- a big plus to the practice -- he upgraded service with technology (something previously lacking.) It doesn't hurt that Dr. Powell is knowledgeable AND personable, making a routine eye exam rather pleasant. **** Jennifer, manager of the optical side, seems to have whipped things into shape. I went in for my usual 2 pairs for $99 (for inside reading) and no upsell, no scare tactics -- just good service and designer frames at discount prices. read more

I was very disappointed with the result of my visit and my purchase of 2 pairs of glasses. I ended up with progressive lenses that are useless to me in the office because they fine for reading or seeing far, but are blurry when reading my computer. I must tip my head way back to activate the reading glasses to get a clear view. I don't know if it was the examination that missed or the evaluation of the sales agent or the execution of the lenses, but either way after spending almost $1000 I did not end up with usable glasses. The exam by Dr. Howell and the ordering experience with Joel was very good. Unfortunately the glasses I received were unacceptable. There were three main areas that I couldn't deal with so I took them back less than a week after picking them up. I read the For Eyes return policy online before taking them back. I expected a little bit of push back and offers to make it right to save the sale but I just wanted my money back. After going through the options I still wanted a refund. I did not get that. Instead I was told that the manager would have to authorize the return and she wouldn't be in until tomorrow. I might have entertained trying them again in the future but not now. I don't patronize businesses that make returning their products a hassle. Here is what their web site states. I wish they would make it as easy as they make it sound. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee If you are not completely satisfied with your order, you can return it free of charge. Previously we had gone to Wal Mart and it was extremely expensive that I did not want to go back. Our insurance said they would be the cheapest and they were not compared to this year. I'm glad we didn't go back as the For Eyes team was wonderful! I needed to get my father two sets of glasses and the entire team helped throughout the process. They were very clear on timing, notification, insurance and pricing so there were no surprises. His first set of glasses worked but he wasn't comfortable with the second pair. The team here let us know the process so we went back for another exam. We had the glasses swapped out and they were able to do it for free. I plan to take him back for any future pairs. read more

I went in for an eye exam at the For Eyes on Upper Roswell Road near the Home Depot with Dr. Howell. After my exam , I decided to sit down to purchase eye glasses and sunglasses . Matthew W , who was a visiting store manager took care of me . How lucky was I to have him to guide me through this process. Not only , was I sitting with a highly experienced technician, but we had an instant rapport . I felt like I met an old friend that I knew for years. My appointment was towards the end of the day . An appointment which normally takes 45 minutes to an hour - we ended up almost 2 hours later with me purchasing a perfect pair of glasses and the perfect pair of sunglasses that I have wanted to get for over a year. Another positive was that I could put the purchase on my Care Credit Card , which I use for medical , dental and now eye care . This was one of my all- time favorite appointments . I came here just before Christmas with my prescription already in hand. Picked out my lenses which are very expensive ultra thin high index - or so I thought. I received the glasses 3 days later than they should have arrived and the product is inferior!! The handles of the frames are scratched and the lenses are uneven. The lenses don't fit snuggly into the frame as if they were cut wrong. Worst of all is that, from a distance you can still see the thick white edges of the glasses!! This is NOT what I asked for and has nothing to do with the design of the frame because I intentionally select plastic frames to hide how thick the lenses would be. Never had this issue at Pearle or Lens Crafters. I'm thoroughly disappointed. read more

The worst place to obtain a pair of glasses, Company was bougth by another foreing company, and now is been more than 2 1/2 months trying to get fixed my glasses and still waiting , the labs are a disaster, they do not communicate with the stores. They really don't care about customers satisfaction. If you get lucky is fine , if not you will suffer and get Screw. No proffesional place. I brought wit back to them and with I questions asked took them back to replace the lenses and get them fixed up... Just bought a pair for me! I was very pleased with the exam Dr. Hahn gave me. As a matter of fact his assistant was out that day and he handled everything that the assistant would ordinarily have done in addition to the exam and never seemed rushed or exasperated. The lady who helped me with eyeglasses was very nice and very helpful and made sure I got the maximum benefit from my insurance. I appreciated that. I noticed a lot of people who came in and were recognized and addressed by name by the staff. My visit was perfectly satisfactory. I had my eye exam on yesterday. I was kind of hesitant about going to an in person appointment but I had no choice. My eyes were failing me. So, from the very beginning it felt safe and inviting. They have closed off one door to control the number of people entering the office. Temperature checks at the door and plenty of available hand sanitizer. You must wear mask at all times and social distancing is a must. After the easy check-in process I was called back to see my Dr. I was so happy to see Dr. Howell. I explained to him that I could no longer see up close and doing my job as a hygienist had become quite difficult. I thought it may be time to retire. Dr. Howell said we are in the same age group and that his friends have been calling him with the same issue. I guess the body knows your age no matter how much you lie about it That being said, he prescribed some multifocal contacts and it was like magic. I could see again. I couldn't stop smiling. Thank you Dr. Howell for listening and addressing my concerns. You are awesome. Thank you to all the staff who make it warm and inviting. Like Jeff S., I came in here to replace nose pads, also for glasses that I had bought elsewhere. Brooke greeted me right away, seemed happy to be helping me, and had my glasses fixed in a couple of minutes, at no charge. She caught me checking out some other frames while I was waiting, offered to give me a price quote, and had it for me within another couple of minutes, answering my numerous questions the entire time, without missing a beat. I don't have much experience with buying glasses, having gotten my first pair at a neighborhood shop in NYC, but I will definitely come here for my next pair. Actually, while my experience with the store was great, it was my experience with Brooke that would bring me back. So, last year I went in to what I thought was the most incredible eye store I had ever visited. The lady who helped me was AMAZING. I had never had customer service like that before or since. She has moved away and I visited the store about a month ago to take advantage of the $35/frame before the year was up. My frames had gotten scratched. The manager, Jennifer, helped me and told me I could order the tortoise frames in the same style. So I had paid my money and ordered my frames. About 3 weeks later, I stopped in the store which is out of my way and inquired about my frames. She said they should be in that following week. I received a phone call later that next week telling me that the frames I ordered were no longer available. So, today, Sunday I stopped in to take care of what I needed to do. The guy who was there (Jeryll sp?) was horrible. He didn't even try and help me. He said right away that I needed to see Jennifer since she originally ordered the frames. I explained to him about 4 times the situation and that I didn't need to wait. It would be a while before I could get back into the store. He was rude, seemed as if he didn't know his job at all and was unwilling to be of ANY assistance whatsoever! I have encourage everyone I knew to go to this place but after the most current events, and after I get this situation fixed, I will NEVER order anything from this place again nor will I tell anyone to go there. It was truly an unreal experience! This guy knows NOTHING about customer service!!!! read more

My whole family has come here multiple times for eye exams and to get new glasses/contacts. My mother and I were very impressed with Jyrell, a sales associate. He not only went above and beyond helping us find the best glasses and prices for us, but he had a great personality! The store is professional and enjoyable. Horrible 6 month experience with these people. Two docs couldn't get my prescription correct and one had to pay the doc in Alpharetta to see me and get a correct prescription. Seven months later I have a correct prescription, but still the wrong tint. I fear the lab techs are color blind. I Do Not recommend this or any other For Eyes due to only one competent doctor between two stores and four doctors and he's in Alpharetta. read more
