He didn't specify anything about the spot behind the eye that indicates suspicion of glaucoma and which was confirmed by two other doctors before and recently after the visit to the Thomas group. And because Susan the supervisor or manager from the Billing department said that my insurance company didn't answer back and sent me to the collection agency less than a month after they sent me the invoice which they sent 6 months late when in fact the insurance company sent me home two papers with explanations of my benefits and the fact that they paid the Thomas group and my responsibility is only $61.14 plus $35 my copay for the specialist not $604 as they sent me the bill. Incompetence from everyone!!! Starting with the technician Amanda, Dr. Mark Berman, Susan and Amy the location manager who just wasted my time with nothing getting resolved. I asked to have the test repeated because after the mistake they made confusing me with another patient I am not sure if I was tested for glaucoma or not. Now I have to pay for another consultation at another clinic to find out if I have glaucoma or not. I do NOT recommend this place and I just wasted my time and money but I assure you that this will not stay that way!!!

I left one review for this "business" already because they refused to give me my Pupil…read moreDistance...simply refused....because they want me to get my lenses with them, which i received a quote of $465 for the lenses....compare that to any legitimate online lens sellers who charge under $200 and that includes all the coatings and covers progressive lenses and the bells and whistles. TERRIBLE service at this lens crafters. The only good thing about this particular "business" is that the woman who did the eye exam was nice. So Im writing this review because I forgot to mention this....they pulled the ole bait and switch about the eye exam. I called this location 2 days prior to my appointment asking if they accept Humana...they said yes, and I said how much will the eye exam be (I already knew the answer is no charge for the yearly exam) and she sure enough said, "Humana covers one eye exam a year"....ya with me here? So i go and get my eye exam and afterwards they said, "that will be $39". COME AGAIN????? You quoted me on the phone a free eye exam. Apparently, there is a new machine the optometrist uses that doesn't require you to dialate your pupils with those yellow eye drops, and that new machinery is what costs $39. Im a nice guy until you make me angry. They were silent about what to say regarding the LIE I caught them in at the checkout counter. (I brought no money with me because I didn't need any, or so I thought), so they asked if I could call them later and give them a credit card over the phone. So me being a good hearted family man, when I got home, I actually called and gave them the credit card number and was charged $39. The first thing the woman who answered the phone said, "Wow, you actually called us back!!!" I sure did because I'm a man of my word and a good person. I wish I could say the same about those dirty people. NEVER go to this location, and I'll never go to lens crafters again. It had been over 35 years since I had been to a lens crafters...I thought I would give them a second chance. As my previous review regarding the pupil distance being a secret every other optometrist from other legitimate businesses Ive seen in the past 35 years has given me the PD. It's mine, isn't it? Apparently not to these bozos. There is a reason there is an entire reddit community to vent and share horror stories regarding your frustrations with lens crafters, with plenty of unhappy people with similar stories from this exact location specifically. THE WORST service imaginable along with terrible people. They should be ashamed of themselves. There is a reason they have an average of 2 star reviews...and I would bet money the "good" reviews are fake to try and bring up that 2 star rating. Also, there have been a few random charges on my credit card I don't recognize after I gave them my credit card info over the phone. Im not suggesting anything, but...what do you think??? Hmmm... The way I see it, I should at least get my pupil distance number especially since i called back and paid the $39 (which was a mistake). I owed them nothing and they now currently are in debt with me for $39. Yes they are. An exact example of the bait and switch scam. Not telling the customer beforehand about the extra felonious charges is just plain ole dirty pool. TLDR: This place sucks and the people who work there are terrible people who practice shady and outright unethical and immoral actions Trust me and the other bad reviews.

They made it very convenient to complete our required documents beforehand via their website so all we had to do was bring them in. The first set of tests for glaucoma, etc. were State-of-the-art and they have it set up very efficiently. First my husband went down the row of machines than I did then my daughter. I was so thankful that for an additional $55, they didn't have to dilate my eyes and instead used a machine that took a picture of the back of the eye. It was pretty cool! Also, they use a device but there's no puff of air which I was really grateful for! There was a power outage midway through our appointments and they handled it with care. As far as the portion that the doctor does, it's pretty standard procedure. Dr. Edwards listen to any concerns that we had and reviewed the results of the other test with us. My thought process has been that when they get you in the room to read the letters, it's not an efficient way to test someone's eyesight. I'd rather have them step outside with me while I've got lenses on so that I can truly look at distance versus close-up in adequate lighting. My husband got contacts and he thinks the prescription is perhaps too strong. Because they did not push products on us, we actually ordered glasses for me. They even sent us home with our popular distance so that I can order extra pairs online if I so choose. we will actually ask for the prescriptions when we go to pick up my glasses. Oops! Overall, we recommend Edwards eye care. Be aware that as of May 2025, there is construction out front to widen the road so pad your timing a little bit extra.

I was only 23 years old at the time and very fearful of the operation itself. Dr. Schoenberg walked me through everything step by step. This gave me some faith in him and the machine before the operation. It wasn't until during the procedure when I realized what a great Doctor Schoenberg is. The nurse was saying technical terms to him while he was operating and Dr. Schoenberg's response was "I am not worried about that right now, I am worried about Charlotte." That is when I had complete faith that Dr. Schoenberg. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing and was taking good care of me. I was beyond grateful to have him as my doctor. After he was done with the Lasik surgery he was BEYOND excited for me, so excited that he even asked to take a picture! That meant the world to me, especially because I've never been able to see clearly. I have always had glasses, since the age of four years old. I will never forget his kindness and enthusiasm for this big change in my life. I was one of his youngest patients and I am telling you right now, it was hands down the fastest and easiest procedure I've ever had. My eyes have stayed at the 20/15 vision even after three years later. Great staff and wonderful experience. Goodbye glasses and good riddance!

When I called back for an adjustment, they couldn't/wouldn't understand my problem. I had to take off work to go into the office and they said that based on my age, the prescription had to be at least that strong. Finally the tech called the doctor in who agreed to adjust the prescription. When I went to another eye doctor, he asked me had I really been wearing those bifocals, because based on my actual prescription they were much too strong. No wonder my eyes had been hurting. This practice will take your time and money and harm you in return.
