Great establishment. There was a lot of staff there. Everyone was happy and very friendly. Receptionist was help since we didn't had our actual INS card. My daughter (5) had an amazing visit just to check up. My visit was very good and quick. Exam was quick. Doctor came in a short period later to write his scrip and I was on my way. I was referred to Dr. Mark Berman. I had a total of four appointments. One for the initial consultation then two for the procedures one on each eye and then the final appointment for a follow-up. Every time I arrived, I had to wait on average an hour to be seen. The staff at one point on my third appointment apologized but nothing changed. When I arrived for my fourth and final appointment, I saw Dr. Berman leaving the building and drive away as I entered the building. I asked the front desk if someone else was going to see and they said no and that Dr. Berman would be seeing me. When I told them I just saw him leave the building, they seemed surprised. I was asked to wait until I was called back in the waiting room. In about 30 minutes I was seen by his assistant but was told I still needed to see Dr. Berman. I again asked since I knew he had left the building. I continued to wait another HOUR! I told them I needed to leave and go back to work. I was then told by a staff member that every patient waits at least an hour unless you are the first in the morning. I stated they needed to improve their scheduling as that was ridiculous to expect patients to wait over an hour to be seen. After 1.5 hours of waiting Dr. Berman walked into the room. I heard his staff tell him I had been waiting for over an hour, and I knew he had left the building. Dr. Berman walked in and didn't say anything, acknowledge he left the building or apologize. I was in such shock I just let him look at my eyes and left. I have never been treated so rudely by staff or a doctor as if my time wasn't important. I do NOT recommend Dr. Berman and have found another doctor. read more

The staff is rude , we were there for 4 hours, they are not patient and kind with elderly in a wheelchair. They cannot get their appointments straight and clearly have so many issues not being addressed. The reviews speak for themselves. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could because they don't deserve it!!! For unprofessional consultation when the doctor doesn't check the patient's date of birth and confuses you with another patient telling you that you have I don't know what serious problems and then when he realizes that you are actually another patient he gets rid of you telling you that you have nothing and you can go home. He didn't specify anything about the spot behind the eye that indicates suspicion of glaucoma and which was confirmed by two other doctors before and recently after the visit to the Thomas group. And because Susan the supervisor or manager from the Billing department said that my insurance company didn't answer back and sent me to the collection agency less than a month after they sent me the invoice which they sent 6 months late when in fact the insurance company sent me home two papers with explanations of my benefits and the fact that they paid the Thomas group and my responsibility is only $61.14 plus $35 my copay for the specialist not $604 as they sent me the bill. Incompetence from everyone!!! Starting with the technician Amanda, Dr. Mark Berman, Susan and Amy the location manager who just wasted my time with nothing getting resolved. I asked to have the test repeated because after the mistake they made confusing me with another patient I am not sure if I was tested for glaucoma or not. Now I have to pay for another consultation at another clinic to find out if I have glaucoma or not. I do NOT recommend this place and I just wasted my time and money but I assure you that this will not stay that way!!! read more

I would never recommend Thomas eye group. I have intermittent vision issues in my left eye. I have been to a neurologist and heart dr. Both pre forming extensive testing. Both withe same conclusion. It's in your eyes. I was recommended Thomas eye group. I could not believe the uncaring and unprofessional treatment i received. 2 test were performed by an assistant. Dr Berman came in. He never looked at my eyes. He checked nothing. He said you are having an eye migraine when this happens. Said he could send me somewhere else but save your money as they wont find it. Excellent care for an emergency visit. I was able to get in the day after I began experiencing severe pain in my eye. Felt like a piece of glass or a whole twig was under the eyelid. I recommended Thomas Eye Group to my friend and she made an appointment to see Dr. Berman. First of all, she was not greeted or told about the kiosk to sign in on. She stood there in the entry embarrassed until she asked another patient. She has a couple of medical issues which the discharge papers said she was counseled on. She was not. She came home very unhappy about her experience and said she would not go back. I've have been going to this group for about 25 yrs and have also noted the cool reception at the front desk the last few times I've had an appointment. Don't bother going here. Here are a few issue: 1. The staff is hit or miss. Some are very nice and some really are unfriendly and unhelpful. 2. They can randomly drop an insurance carrier and wont tell you this when you book or when you show up for the apt. You find out when you checkout. 3. You can have an 8am apt and not be done for a few hours. For medical checks, Ive been there for 4 plus hours. 3. Their billing is a joke. Last year, they didn't bill us for one of my kids visit. and didn't try to send it to insurance. When I tried to book a new apt this year for same kid, they said they couldn't book it until old amount was paid. Then, they tried to attach the same old bill the other kid when we questioned it. Today, they tried to double charge for an eye exam. They expected us to pay until we questioned it. Find another place. They are not worth the headache. read more

First, I scheduled a yearly exam for my son and because he has several diagnosis at the appointment they changed it to a medical in which they then tried to submit to my medical insurance and asked me to pay obscene amount due to not meeting my deductible. The receipt they handed me in which i still have possession is just a routine eye exam. I was told I don't decide the appointment type the doctor does. I had to fight the office staff before someone finally acted like they were doing me a favor and accepted my eye insurance with the $10 copay. Then I ordered glasses and picked up. They handed me glasses in a plastic bag. I asked for a glasses case and they said since they weren't new frames he did not get a case. They were new frames. Then I noticed on the receipt that it said remake. So I asked what happened. The lady claimed she did not do intake so I asked for the person who did. She went to the back and I heard her whole conversation. The one who did the intake explained to me they were "her" notes (it was a receipt with scribble on it). She was rude and quick and acted like I didn't have a right to ask her questions. This place and their employees are miserable. read more

I had a pediatric appointment scheduled for my son at 10AM. We arrived promptly at 9:45 as a new patient. We waited in a crowded waiting room with about 10 people ahead of us that had not been seen yet. After one hour of waiting my toddler couldn't sit still in a waiting room. Went to reschedule and even the receptionist was too busy - had to wait another 10 mins. I live 45 minutes from here. Do yourself a favor and don't waste the time, money, or energy to go here. The only excuse to be running this far behind this early in the morning would be a doctor running late to his first appointments. Probably on the golf course. read more

This morning, I waited an hour on hold to ask a simple billing question. AN HOUR! After which, I hung up. The last time my family visited this place, we waited for two hours after our scheduled appointment time, then waited another hour in the patient waiting room until we saw the doctor for ten seconds, and told to go home with a $300 bill. What is infuriating is that this place has the money and resources to better serve their patients, but the profit motive is apparently more important than their patients. It's now been an hour since my son got the dilating drops. They are telling us this was unusual and there were some "tough cases" this morning. They call and say that the dr will be out because of fall break and that no other doctor will be in the practice that day. Horrible customer service. I had cataract surgery on both eyes and mono vision for corrective vision. I am so pleased with out come. Had last eye done last week. Dr. Breman did a fantastic job my vision couldn't be better. Marjorie was so kind and great with arranging the surgery. The whole staff is wonderful from the office at Woodstock to all the nurses and staff at surgery center in Sandy Springs. After waiting for 3 months to get an appointment for my daughter, they cancelled without any notification. They called us to confirm that she was not tested positive for COVID-19 two days before the appointment. They treated her very rude and they didn't make any efforts to help her. The doctors and technicians are nice and very professional but the receptionists are the worst. We were their customer for 10 years but we got tired of the bad customer service and the long waits. I was a patient at another eye care group in Canton and was unhappy there so when my eye started having some scary symptoms, I called Thomas Eye Group and they got me an emergency appointment a few hours later even though I was a new patient. They were very efficient and the staff was very friendly. I saw Dr. Berman, who was kind and informative. I expected my whole appointment to take 2-3 hours because of the whole dilating process, testing, etc and it was just about 2 hours. I'm not sure why anyone would expect it to be less. I was relieved to find that my condition was not as serious as it could have been and since I had no insurance, I was prepared to be hit with a pretty hefty bill, but it was less than I expected and for that I am eternally grateful. Excellent doctor, excellent practice!! I will be back and I will bring the family there as well! read more

I visited with Dr. Kaufman because my cousin recommended I see him and I'm glad I did. From the time I walked in the door it was an excellent experience. I have a rare eye condition and was seeing Dr. Kaufman for a second opinion. I left their letting them know I want to transfer my care to this team. They are professional and work like a well greased machine. I have read the reviews and my experience was completely opposite. I think the difference being that I'm serious no nonsense kind of girl. I don't want a lot of disingenuous smiles - these people are strangers why would i expect them to treat me like we're best friends? Squeezed for every cent! Although I understand that visiting an ophthalmologist will always cost more than seeing an optometrist, this place charges extra costs for multiple things typically included in other exams. Despite having Blue Cross coverage, I doled out $40 for the 'Office Visit', $50 for 'Evaluation', and now even though my contact Rx hasn't changed they want to charge me $49 for a "Contact Fitting fee'??? Even though they aren't even seeing me to 'Fit' my exact same Rx from the year before?!? They are basically holding my contact Rx hostage for $49. I'm going elsewhere to get another evaluation and would rather pay more to someone else, rather than give them any more of my money. read more

My wife waited with my son in the waiting room for 1 hour an 45 minutes and never got to see anyone. They originally had a mixup with our insurance and she even agreed to pay the full charge out of pocket, but still never got to see a doctor.
