I left one review for this "business" already because they refused to give me my Pupil Distance...simply refused....because they want me to get my lenses with them, which i received a quote of $465 for the lenses....compare that to any legitimate online lens sellers who charge under $200 and that includes all the coatings and covers progressive lenses and the bells and whistles. TERRIBLE service at this lens crafters. The only good thing about this particular "business" is that the woman who did the eye exam was nice. So Im writing this review because I forgot to mention this....they pulled the ole bait and switch about the eye exam. I called this location 2 days prior to my appointment asking if they accept Humana...they said yes, and I said how much will the eye exam be (I already knew the answer is no charge for the yearly exam) and she sure enough said, "Humana covers one eye exam a year"....ya with me here? So i go and get my eye exam and afterwards they said, "that will be $39". COME AGAIN????? You quoted me on the phone a free eye exam. Apparently, there is a new machine the optometrist uses that doesn't require you to dialate your pupils with those yellow eye drops, and that new machinery is what costs $39. Im a nice guy until you make me angry. They were silent about what to say regarding the LIE I caught them in at the checkout counter. (I brought no money with me because I didn't need any, or so I thought), so they asked if I could call them later and give them a credit card over the phone. So me being a good hearted family man, when I got home, I actually called and gave them the credit card number and was charged $39. The first thing the woman who answered the phone said, "Wow, you actually called us back!!!" I sure did because I'm a man of my word and a good person. I wish I could say the same about those dirty people. NEVER go to this location, and I'll never go to lens crafters again. It had been over 35 years since I had been to a lens crafters...I thought I would give them a second chance. As my previous review regarding the pupil distance being a secret every other optometrist from other legitimate businesses Ive seen in the past 35 years has given me the PD. It's mine, isn't it? Apparently not to these bozos. There is a reason there is an entire reddit community to vent and share horror stories regarding your frustrations with lens crafters, with plenty of unhappy people with similar stories from this exact location specifically. THE WORST service imaginable along with terrible people. They should be ashamed of themselves. There is a reason they have an average of 2 star reviews...and I would bet money the "good" reviews are fake to try and bring up that 2 star rating. Also, there have been a few random charges on my credit card I don't recognize after I gave them my credit card info over the phone. Im not suggesting anything, but...what do you think??? Hmmm... The way I see it, I should at least get my pupil distance number especially since i called back and paid the $39 (which was a mistake). I owed them nothing and they now currently are in debt with me for $39. Yes they are. An exact example of the bait and switch scam. Not telling the customer beforehand about the extra felonious charges is just plain ole dirty pool. Came here for an eye exam, glasses, and to try out contacts. The whole process was smooth with the exception of a 5 day delay on my contact trials coming in. The delay didn't bother me because I had also gotten glasses but I could see that delay being a bigger deal to someone who relied on them. The ladies at the front desk of the actual Dr office are SO lovely. Ryan in particular is a delight. This LensCrafters will continue to be my primary optometry location. read more

So I called and asked - do you offer same day glasses. They said - "if we have the lenses, within 24 hours". I asked is ok so is possible to do same day if you have the lenses? Like a robot - repeats "if we have the lenses, within 24 hours" So you don't offer same day? If I send you the prescription can you check? Great service and friendly staff, I called them to see if they could take lenses from my damaged frame and place them on my new frame and they said yes bring it over. It took 10 minutes and they also fitted the new pair and no charge(lenses and frames were not purchased from them). Great experience and will use them for my next pair of glasses. read more

I can't say enough good things about the staff here. They are so amazing. My husband has been getting his glasses at the same place his whole life (starting from early childhood and he's now in his 30s) but moving out here from another state we knew that wasn't possible. There was one other time he got his glasses done somewhere else and it ended up being a month of complications and he had to go back to his old glasses because time ran out on returning his new ones after all the back and forth. We knew there could be some issues out here as well since he has quite a complicated order with those eyes of his but the staff here has been so wonderful in helping us. They are so personal as well as helpful, it makes for a great experience on something that can usually be a bit of an undertaking. read more

I have been a loyal customer of LensCrafters for 15+ years. I scheduled eye exams for myself and my 3 young adult children for today. When we arrived, after driving an hour to get to this location, I was told that it was mandatory that I pay out of pocket for the $35 retinal mapping photos per each appointment. Since my insurance does not cover the photos, I've always declined in the past. However, today I was told that it was no longer an option to decline and that if we wanted to keep our appointment then the Doctor required payment. Again, I declined the mapping and asked to proceed with the appointments anyway. I was then told that the appointments would be canceled since I would not agree to the $35/each photos. NEVER WAS I TOLD ABOUT THEIR NEW "REQUIREMENT" when I made the appointments. The girl at the front desk stated, "Georgia is trying to make the mapping photos a new requirement by law, so the doctors of this practice have implemented the new requirement". You've got to be kidding me. My insurance pays for our eye exams at 100%, but I was "required" the fee because of a new law that has not even been passed yet in Georgia. LensCrafters has lost my business for good. In my opinion, making an optional service now a "requirement" is a money making scheme!! They'd rather lose 4 billable appointments and 4 glasses purchases over $35 for a service that I do not want. The girl at the front desk really couldn't have cared less- which is frustrating and sad. I hope that the Doctor is aware that she canceled us and lost a good amount of money from sales today. Horrible customer service. I scheduled an eye exam. I received a call on Friday asking to confirm my appointment and to ensure I complete the necessary paperwork. During the confirmation call, I was asked if I could move my appointment time earlier in the day. I advised that I could not and asked if my current scheduled time for Monday would be an issue which she confirmed it would not be. I was then contacted at Noon today (Monday) and was asked if I could come in earlier today. After I advised that I could not, I was told that the Doctor would not be available at my scheduled time and I would need to reschedule. I called back and spoke with the Manager Hannah, who sounded just like the person I spoke with 5 minutes earlier, but said she was not, and was met with the least concerned attitude about the fact that I asked on Friday and was now receiving a notice of cancellation 5 hours before when it was more than likely know on Friday when they called. There was no empathy or consolation provided for the inconvenience. There are too many other professionals eye doctors in the area to be bothered with confusion and lack of professionalism. read more

My wife and I visited Lenscrafters today (Saturday, Jan 30) in Woodstock, GA. We had several disappointing issues there. I've been a loyal Lenscrafters customer for years, but that all ended today. Lenscrafters advertises a 40% off discount for all lenses. We had purchased frames on the Lenscrafters website because of their more complete selection, but the store staff told us that the Lenscrafters 40% discount did not apply because we were not buying lenses at the same time as frames purchase. Both frames and lenses would have been bought directly from Lenscrafters. This seemed illogical and unfair to us as customers. If this is store policy, it's a bad policy. Next, the Lenscrafters staff would not fill my lens prescription, which is 13 months old, well within the store policy of 24 months. This poor customer service was based on a technicality on my optometrist's written prescription that did not specifically state that my prescription is good for 24 months. The store manager told me that there was nothing he could do to correct this situation. This is poor Lenscrafters policy. Lenscrafters at Woodstock, GA missed out on two sales of lenses because of poor company policy and their staff's unwillingness to do what it takes to satisfy their customers. Went in today and asked if they sold repair kits. Nice lady working the floor said they didn't but maybe she could fix it. When I told her I needed to replace a nose pad, she said no problem...I can do that. Replaced the pad, cleaned the glasses and made sure I didn't need any other adjustments. Charged me nothing. These glasses weren't bought from LensCrafters but I guarantee you my next pair will. It's been a long time since I experienced such amazing customer service . read more

I took my 8YO daughter here for a check up a few months ago and was so impressed, I went back for myself. I've been an America's Best customer for years, and always felt I was herded in and out. My vision is AWFUL- without my contacts, I can hardly see. Dr. Reid and his staff were absolutely AMAZING! They contacted my health insurance company to let them know that my prescription would qualify my glasses/contacts as "medically necessary". In all the years I went to America's Best, they never suggested it was even possible. I was able to get a year's worth of contacts- FOR FREE!! The staff was thorough, friendly and easy to work with. They helped me pick out a great pair is glasses and determine the most cost-effective way to purchase them. They took their time with me and I never felt rushed. I will continue going here and am telling everyone I know about them. If you live in the area and need a place to get your eyes checked, definitely go here. And if you participate in your company's VSP, you're in luck because they accept it! read more

We went in here with a plan to spend several hundred dollars on glasses. My wife and two kids (ages 7 and 5) went together. They only had one person helping people and he was already with someone. We decided to look over the kids frames for my son and just wait till someone was available. About 15 mins later a woman evidently just clocked in and came in to help. She walked right past us to help someone else. I clearly stated to both of them that our family was here first and had been waiting a long time. They both completely ignored me, not even acknowledging my presence. I was wondering if they knew each other or why one of them at least didn't say, I'm sorry. The gentleman was done helping the other customer, but he looked at me and said, I've got some computer work to do, and just looked back at the computer. Needless to say we were gone! It ended up for the best because we got a much better price at Target Optical in Canton and their customer service was excellent, which was very surprising for a larger chain, and I thought Lens Crafters was suppose to be the better customer service? read more

Called before going. Told them I had my prescription but just needed one lens. They said, "You don't need an appointment for that." Walked in and waited approximately 10 minutes after being greeted. When the technician asked me what I needed, I told her I needed the one lens changed. She then told me, "We don't do just one lens. Couldn't they have told me that when I'd called?? We aren't talking inexpensive lenses. Between the prescription, no-line bifocals, glare coating and compressing the lenses to make them thinner, it costs well over $500! One lens alone is $300!! This is the worst location ever. I've been working with them for over 3 months just to get my contacts. I've made over 4 unnecessary trips all the way to their location and for nothing. Again today, went by there bc they called and told me my contacts were there and they're not. Never had this problem with any other location. I've been wearing contacts for over 24 years, it's not that hard. Bc of my insurance I would have to pay out of pocket again if I go somewhere else. If and when I ever get my contacts then I will never be back to this location. Very inconvenient. read more

Staff is very unprofessional. The computer system they use is very unreliable. The system crashed three times when I was in the store. The associate that helped me was rude. In between helping customers she was taking selfies. Instead of helping customers the employees were too busy making plans for the weekend. Don't go to this location. BEWARE!!!! read more

Ordered glasses December 21. Started calling store January 16th. Told they showed shipped and should be here tomorrow, or no later than the 18th. Nothing. Called Saturday. Still showed shipped, she'd look into it. Got a call back - the lab insists they were shipped (though they could not provide a tracking number) but she went ahead and reordered them just in case. It's now January 29th. I gave them nearly $1k 39 days ago for glasses that were supposed to take 14 days. Now they don't even seem to answer the phone. Apparently I have to give them 1 start to post this, even though they don't even deserve it. read more

I visited this location today to place an order for contact lenses. I was unimpressed with the level of customer service received and felt totally ripped off-I was (and at this point will never be) a patient in this office. I was directed back to Dr. Reid's office to place my order when I walked into LensCrafters. With my prescription in hand, I inquired about ordering contact lenses and was asked about my insurance. I replied with who my insurance company is and handed over my card. Apparently I didn't have he answer they were looking for and they got very irritated with me. I then asked how much the contact lenses would cost and they said they'd let me know. After not clearly explaining what my cost would actually be after insurance they told me I was getting a great deal at $70 a box (versus $50 I would pay other places). At this point, they had already charged me. They replied they could give me a rebate (so could the other places...and it's available online). There was so much eye rolling going behind the counter and snide looks I actually felt really guilty for trying to be their customer. I was told a number of times they would need to create a file for me....and it would take them time....I truly felt terrible for taking up 15 minutes of their day! I recently made an appointment at the Woodstock location and had to wait over an hour until I was seen. The staff while knowledge proved to not be capable of handling appointments and honoring these time. This long wait completely turned me off of this company and I don't expect to return. read more
