So, with an appointment I went in on 12/29 trying to spend some year end FSA dollars. It was a complete disaster. Even with the appointment I had to wait 40 minutes to be seen. Then after an Hour trying to get my order in the computer I was simply told they can't do it. Just wow! I left with nothing. So fast forward to last Thursday. I figured I would give them another chance. With no appointment I walk in and was seen immediately. In about 15 minutes I had my glasses picked out, ordered and in the system. Let me say right here that an excellent employee saved this business from a 1 star and made it a 5 star! Polly was absolutely AMAZING! So informative, pleasant and just delightful to talk to. She probably could have sold me 5 more Pair! Lol. In closing this employee save the day and the business she works for!! Thank you so much.

As an update to my 2023 appointment for new glasses: I recently had an eye exam at another facility…read moreand was given a new prescription that was supposed to be a minor tweak on my current glasses. I compared the new prescription to my latest prescription and it seemed more like a major change instead of a minor adjustment. Not being an expert, I went ahead and ordered the updated lenses from Rome Eye Care. When they came in and I put them on, the vision in my left eye was good but I could see better out of the right lens without the glasses. I figured I just had to wear them for a while to get used to them. After two weeks of constant wear, my vision was not any better out of the right eye. I returned to Rome Eye care and they read the lenses on their machine and confirmed they matched the prescription I had been given, which I figured they did. They agreed with me that the new prescription was a major change from the lenses I have been wearing since 2023. They said I should go back to the original clinic and have them recheck my eyes. The original office I went to could not give me a repeat exam until June. I let Rome Eye Care know that I wouldn't be back anytime soon so they weren't expecting a quick return. The very next day they called and said that Dr. Reeves said for me to come in and he would re-examine my eyes. A new exam was performed and it was found that the prescription I was given by the other optometrist was over corrected for the left eye and was even a bit stronger than I needed for the right eye. During his evaluation he was able to correct my prescription to give me 20/20 vision. I know this is kind of long, but the people at Rome Eye Care center are really great. Based on how quickly they accommodated the exam and the expert treatment I received, I will probably use them as my primary for eye care.

I have very good insurance and have never had to pay anything other than my copay, elsewhere. When I asked if I could just get the eye exam and take my prescription, I was told that I would still need to pay the fitting fee even if I just wanted a prescription and didn't want to order my contacts from them. If you absolutely love the vibe you get when you walk into a sleepy car dealership... This is the place for you.

We went around to a couple different stores (in and outside of the mall) before landing at Pearle Vision. Although pricier, you were instinctively aware that the glasses were of better quality and the customer service was great. I didn't feel hounded or hassled at all as I freely took FOREVER to try on multiple frames. Keisha was great, being both very knowledgeable about the products and options, and assisting me in finding a frame(s) that complimented my face. She was also very patient. So, when it took me about 3 weeks to select 2 frames, she still worked with me as if I were a new customer or better yet, a loyal regular. I chose 2 frames and a pair of sunglasses all of which I love. I even returned to get the anti glare added on (which Keisha had recommended but I declined) after realizing it affected my driving at night and how I looked in pictures. Love the staff here! People were in and out in a progressive manner for appointments. They even managed to work a few walk-ins in. The doctor, Dr. Amit, was very friendly, and really knew his eye stuff. I was impressed. Courtney, the office manager, got me in the door, with excellent customer service skills. How often do you hear that anymore? I think these folks try a little harder to BE good, and to give you GOOD, QUALITY service, because they know they're competing with the guys you see on tv all the time. I had a good experience, recommend these folks, and will be returning.

TERRIBLE service at this lens crafters. The only good thing about this particular "business" is that the woman who did the eye exam was nice. So Im writing this review because I forgot to mention this....they pulled the ole bait and switch about the eye exam. I called this location 2 days prior to my appointment asking if they accept Humana...they said yes, and I said how much will the eye exam be (I already knew the answer is no charge for the yearly exam) and she sure enough said, "Humana covers one eye exam a year"....ya with me here? So i go and get my eye exam and afterwards they said, "that will be $39". COME AGAIN????? You quoted me on the phone a free eye exam. Apparently, there is a new machine the optometrist uses that doesn't require you to dialate your pupils with those yellow eye drops, and that new machinery is what costs $39. Im a nice guy until you make me angry. They were silent about what to say regarding the LIE I caught them in at the checkout counter. (I brought no money with me because I didn't need any, or so I thought), so they asked if I could call them later and give them a credit card over the phone. So me being a good hearted family man, when I got home, I actually called and gave them the credit card number and was charged $39. The first thing the woman who answered the phone said, "Wow, you actually called us back!!!" I sure did because I'm a man of my word and a good person. I wish I could say the same about those dirty people. NEVER go to this location, and I'll never go to lens crafters again. It had been over 35 years since I had been to a lens crafters...I thought I would give them a second chance. As my previous review regarding the pupil distance being a secret every other optometrist from other legitimate businesses Ive seen in the past 35 years has given me the PD. It's mine, isn't it? Apparently not to these bozos. There is a reason there is an entire reddit community to vent and share horror stories regarding your frustrations with lens crafters, with plenty of unhappy people with similar stories from this exact location specifically. THE WORST service imaginable along with terrible people. They should be ashamed of themselves. There is a reason they have an average of 2 star reviews...and I would bet money the "good" reviews are fake to try and bring up that 2 star rating. Also, there have been a few random charges on my credit card I don't recognize after I gave them my credit card info over the phone. Im not suggesting anything, but...what do you think??? Hmmm...
