Suuuper pushy about extra preventative exams they offer and they also have a made up $60 fitting fee that they absolutely cant bill your insurance and must be paid out of pocket - on top of the copay. I have very good insurance and have never had to pay anything other than my copay, elsewhere. When I asked if I could just get the eye exam and take my prescription, I was told that I would still need to pay the fitting fee even if I just wanted a prescription and didn't want to order my contacts from them. Dr. Womack is a quack LOL.. I called and explained that I have lashes in the way of my vision. I was told it's a medical issue and I needed to see the so called Dr. to trim them. Well.. Mr. Woma-quack after a 60 second look said that I needed to see a plastic surgeon? What the hell? To trim my eyelashes? No, to surgically adjust my eyelids. Yep, that's right folks. What a joke. I called to paid for my glasses over the phone. I told them my husband was on his way to pick them up. When my husband got there- he was told he needed to pay $223 or he couldn't pick them up. Mind you I already paid over $450. I'm pissed. I'm livid. And as soon as they heard me on his phone- there magically wasn't a balance on my account. Hmm? Scam artist?? This office is incredibly mismanaged and does not have respect for your time. There was zero point in making an appointment at this location as they just take patients on a whoever walks in the door first basis. I cancelled my appointment after sitting while two patients without appointments were taken back to be seen prior to myself who had a scheduled appointment. We had EXCELLENT service here for both eye exam and eyeglasses. In fact, they saved the day for us. My husband lost his glasses while we were on family vacation in the Georgia mountains and, unlike 10 other optical shops we called, they were able to do his exam within 24 hrs and made new glasses for him as well within about 1 hr of having his exam done. Everyone that we encountered was friendly and efficient. Dean was especially helpful on the eyeglass-making side, and we are very grateful to all! read more

I am new to the area and this was the first place I went for an eye exam and to get new contacts. I have very sensitive eyes, so I've had to try several different brands and types of contacts. I am so disappointed in the service of received at Pearle Vision in Canton Georgia. I had gone to this location 12/28/20 to order progressive lens glasses. The cost was well over $400 with my insurance and was paid at that time, and quoted 2 to 3 weeks for the glasses to come in. I called the store January 19th because I had not heard from them. I was first told they couldn't find the order or paperwork and assured me a call back which I did not receive. I called back on January 20th after 2 phone calls and extended time on hold I was told there was a defect with the manufacturer lenses and they were not ready. When I asked how long it would take, I was given no information, such as we will try to find out and call you as soon as we know. They tried to explain to me that it was good that they found the defect before I received the glasses instead of explaining why I had not heard from them. It is now February 8th and I have not heard from Pearle Vision nor have I been given a timeframe when I will receive my glasses read more

I recently had an experience at Pearle Vision in Canton Ga that I just have to share. I was a flight attendant for 19 years and have been a dental hygienist for 38 years. I have so much experience in customer service. With that said, I have always tried to make sure the customer is happy and satisfied. Even though, sometimes I will tell you, it was hard! But I made sure I was professional and polite because my attitude represented the company that wrote my pay check, Today I was humiliated and disgusted at the way I was treated. Casey needs to take a step back and realize that her attitude will cause customers to seek other eye care. Which I have made the decision not to ever step in the Canton store again because of her. read more

I don't EVER leave reviews so know that I am VERY disappointed and I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE! I have wore glasses my entire life so I KNOW I that it's like for your eyes to adjust and whatnot when getting a new pair of glasses and have done this MANY, MANY, times before. When I got my glasses the FIRST time, I couldnt see at all through them but was told to "let my eyes adjust". Whatever. I took a week and of course, nothing. So I went back for a SECOND time. They did another exam and the doctor said that the prescription was the same as before. He checks the glasses and Turns out, the person who had served me up front, PICKED THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION FOR MY LEFT EYE. So great. They end up having to order the new lenses. So I wait a week for the new lenses to be delivered, And go back for the THIRD time. THE RIGHT EYE IS SUPER BLURRY! I call to get a refund back and OF COURSE keep the glasses because I HAVE to have them to work, and am currently waiting for a call back. I am LIVID to say the least. I am so blind that I can't even see 1 foot in front of my face. so now I'm forced to use glasses I can BARELY SEE OUT OF for however long it takes to get a new pair from somewhere else. I genuinely don't know where the poor reviews come from. I've never had less than fantastic service here, and they've even helped me twice when I'm traveling out of town. I've been a Pearle Vision customer for over 20 years and this one is by far the best. Responsive staff, minimal wait time, friendly doctor. I am now exclusively loyal to this location. I can't think of a time where I was treated as rudely as when I went to get an exam at this pearle vision. The front receptionists were extremely unfriendly and I heard them talking about other customers poorly as I was waiting. But who hasn't encountered a rude receptionist... what shocked me is that the doctor was even worse. He was behind the desk when I was explaining to the lady my issue and he butted in asking me about my condition in front of the waiting room. He talked condescendingly and snappy to me and as I was explaining my symptoms said I was - I quote - "wasting his time". Then barked at me to go back and start the exam. I stood there for a moment, stunned that he was talking to me like this and trying to decide if I wanted to leave at that moment. he then proceeded to attack me asking me over and over "Does that make sense to you" as if I were incompetent. Needless to say I left and told them I would be going elsewhere. I will never go back here. read more
