When I called again, I was told the manager was unavailable. On September 16, Joel finally returned my call and admitted my order still was not ready. He promised to reissue the order and ship it directly to my home address. Now it is September 22--almost a full month after my appointment--and I still do not have my lenses. Today, Joel provided me with a tracking number, and while reviewing it together, I discovered that he failed to include my apartment number, which will cause yet another delay. This is completely unacceptable. Vision care is not optional--it is essential--and I should not have to chase down an order I paid for weeks ago. The mishandling of my order, the lack of communication, and the repeated mistakes demonstrate a total disregard for customers. I have been strung along for a month by Joel, the store manager at location #1448, and there has been no accountability from regional manager Brad Morgan either. At this point, I am demanding immediate action to correct this issue and a clear explanation as to why my order has been mishandled from the start. I will also be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and escalating this matter further if necessary. I originally contacted the office to question the balance due and learned that the insurance company did not pay, however after speaking with one of the staff members, I was told he would see if the charge could be removed and would contact me in 24 no more than 48 hours (no response). A week later, I received a notice that the balance would go to collections on a certain date, so I immediately contacted the office once again and requested to speak with the office manager (no response) specially stating . I never received a call from the first staff member and I DID not want the balance placed in collections and if that would be the result of it, I will just pay the bill regardless of what he advised me of originally. A few days later, I received a call from the same originally gentlemen, which stated after speaking with the doctors they decided to remove the charge and explained the next time if pictures are required, I would be responsible (okay fair enough). Upon receiving my mail to learn they sent the balance over to collections after stating the charge would be removed and I am highly upset due to the fact this eye centers business office staff members to do not return promised phone calls nor do they follow up within the time frame specifically stated and the worse part of this whole situation sending my account over to collection and the ONLY way I could put it is, totally deceptive on there point to the point I strongly feel I need to find another eye center, due to the lack of being totally incompetent when it involve a patient's account. At this point, I don't know who the office manager is, because I still have not received a call back from the office when this whole issue started from the very beginning, which is mind blowing when you ask to speak with an office manager regardless someone should respond (but again NO one wants to work these days). We scheduled our appointments back to back so that we could knock it all out at once. The doctor was great! She was professional and thorough. Both hubby and I felt comfortable with the exam and her competence. The guy working the front was also very professional and friendly. Once the glasses came in, he took his time to ensure that the fit was perfect for each of us before we left. While we spent more than we normally do at America's Best even with insurance covering a portion of it, we feel like the service and quality live up to the cost. The issue is that they don't have any cheap frames. Most options are designer names.
