We ordered delivery from here through door dash. It was so quick! Less than 50 mins. The food was piping hot when It arrived. We ordered: Crab Rangoon- good but the skin was different than normal- less crispy/crunchy? Pearl Panang curry- DELICIOUS. It's not crazy spicy just a bit mild I think. Comes with a small white rice. It has the coconut taste and brought me back to Thailand! Good portion of chicken. Spicy fried rice with chicken - not spicy .. the s/o enjoyed it. Chicken pad Thai- delicious! The coloring of the noodles looks really different than every pad Thai I've ever had so that's interesting. It wasn't oily but was very moist! I would order again! I don't feel like anything's over seasoned or under seasoned, well maybe the fried rice but that's okay! I had ordered from Pearl but hadn't been in for some time. It is clean and calm inside, with nice music playing softly and attentive service. The food is fresh and flavorful. I had the spicy beef salad on a hot muggy day and it was refreshing and very flavorful. You can request as much or as little spice as you personally prefer. There is a wide range of items available on the menu, and I wanted to order more but on this day I kept it simple. My friend ordered the Larb and it was also fresh, flavorful and both of our dishes were plentiful with generous servings. This is a gem, on Holly Street in Old Town. A decent Thai restaurant with a small hole in the wall feel. The staff were all very friendly and displayed great customer service. The place isn't too big, so a table wasn't available when we arrived. They temporarily set up a table for us but quickly cleared a table for four when the other patrons left and moved us over. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu and I enjoyed it very much. I don't usually order tofu, but I was in the mood for it and it was turned out to be a great decision. After this experience, I'll probably increase my Pad Thai tofu orders. The tofu came in big chunks and tasted really good mixed in the with the Pad Thai. The dish also has a wet consistency, so a big plus if you like your Pad Thai with a wetter base. The only downside was the chili sauces weren't all that spicy, we had to continue adding more of the spices throughout our meal to heat things up. Not a negative if you're not too fond of spices though! This was some great Pad Thai and one of the places I would consider going to for Thai food in Pasadena. I just came back from a foreign trip, and the Thai food there was terrible. Pearl Thai Eatery was a great pick me up after that experience. We were so glad we did! Everyone's food looked delicious. We opted for an appetizer sampler to be able to try a variety of apps. There were two pieces of two of the items and three pieces of the other two. All of them were good, and they came to our table piping hot and fresh. For our entrees, we both ordered Pad Thai with Tofu. Neither of us are vegetarian - we just wanted tofu. It was really good, although a bit light on the egg. I also got an order of Mongolian Beef to go so I could bring it home for my husband. I didn't get to try it before he devoured it, so I took that to be a good sign. He said he really liked it, but that it wasn't spicy like the menu claimed. Still, he said he'd order it again. Service is prompt but unobtrusive. They were totally on it when we needed more water or needed the table cleared. We didn't even have to ask. The restaurant is small, so it's probably not the best place for groups. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Upon entering we were greeted by the friendly server. The place is small with about 10 tables, but the decor was fresh and slightly hipster. It was definitely clean and things looked new. We ordered the chicken pad thai, the tofu pad see ew, and the mango sticky rice. With Yelp check in, we also got a free Thai tea. For the Thai tea, I asked for minimal sweetness. It was less sweet than the other Thai tea I had tried but I still had to add some water to lighten the sweetness. The pad Thai and pad see ew were standard. Of note, they were not as oily as other places, which is a plus. They were not stingy on the chicken in the pad thai. The mango sticky rice was ok. The sticky rice was on the harder side and it could be softer. You can taste the coconut and vanilla in the rice strongly. Overall, the foods were standard. The spot deserves a good rating due to the attentiveness and friendliness from the staff. read more

Fresh, crisp and flavorful. 2)Tom Kha shrimp - shrimp was cooked perfectly and the soup was hot and tasty . 3) shrimp salad - mixed greens were fresh, shrimp was clean tasting and dressing light . 4) Mongolian Beef - this was probably the least favorite dish. These dishes all complimented each other nicely. The veggies were bathed in a sweet soy sauce and everything was prepared properly, no overcooked veggies. The yellow curry was aromatic and delicious but lacked fish sauce and needed a bit more heat. The standout however was the pad see ew. The char they got into the vegetables was incredible and made the whole dish super flavorful. It changed the flavor profile and added a depth and texture to everything. I kept going back to this one. First time coming here yesterday with my toddler (in a stroller) and sister after a visit to the SCCM so it was good 3-minute drive. It was around 1:30PM, we got seats right away. Not super spacious for families with littles but I'd say it's a nice chic and cozy place for a date, catching up with friends, or solo dining. Server was friendly and food came out in about 10 minutes. And I should say, their Lavender Milk Tea was out of this world!!! I told my sis after my first sip that it was like having a spa but for the mouth (sorry that sounds kinda weird). But seriously speaking, the drink and the food were AH-mazing! A bit pricey but the portion and the taste were worth it. I'd definitely come back and bring my husband and friends next time! P.S We had to park elsewhere and pay about 5 bucks since it's only street parking and I'm not great at parallel parking on a busy street so be prepared to walk if you're like me. :) read more

My absolute favorite dish ever is Tom Kha. The Tom Kha soup was absolutely terrible-- it was incredibly salty, and the broth was thin and tasteless. This was literally the worst Tom Kha I have ever had, and I order it at every Thai place I have ever tried. The egg rolls were meh, the avocado egg rolls were very greasy and also not very good. The mango in the sticky rice was the smallest, saddest portion I have ever seen. Maybe I just ordered on a bad night, but what a total waste of money. read more

It's really a 3 and 1/2 stars. I rounded it up to be nice. We ordered the pad Thai and papaya salad. The rice noodles were undercooked but flavor is good. So it's ok. Portion size is pretty big too. The papaya salad is good but it's a little on the smaller side. For Thai food, I rather go to Thai paradise in Monterey park. Not sure why they have 4 1/2 stars. The service is average at best. The Asian waitress (I think she's Thai) is not that friendly. Overall, I will not return. Should have gone to the American food in this area today. read more

A lil gem in Pasadena. As you walk in, the decorations are very cute and chic. The restaurant is very small and gets crowded quickly. The tables are rather close and a bit cramped to other patrons. I still come here to feed my tummy due to the food and service! The food is very tasty. I usually order the papaya salad with shrimp, but I have to ask them to ensure that the shrimp is fully cooked. The Pad Thai is never soggy or bland. This place is as authentic as you can get in the area for Thai food. The service makes up for any lil offsies! The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and will always accommodate. Their delivery service is phenomenal as well. We had an issue with a fish and called them to explain. They not only was apologetic they comped our entire meal. Service is their goal. I stuff my face here every week. read more

Pearl Thai is hands-down the best Thai I've ever had. I wish I would've taken pictures to show everyone. My family and I ordered several things to eat family style. We got pad Thai, drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, the green curry, and mango sticky rice. I'm not kidding you all of these items were so delicious and better than any Thai I've ever had, and I used to live in Thai town/Los Feliz. I asked and they do NOT cook with MSG. Also you can tell because the food tastes very fresh. It almost tastes like a Grandmother visiting from Phuket made this for you. It's so fresh and isn't oily at all. The pineapple fried rice had a very unique flavor and it was very sweet. A lot of times at other places this dish can taste tangy and this didn't at all. Their version is very sweet and it has some spices in it that are not hot (by request) but draw out the flavors. It's almost like there's cinnamon or nutmeg or something; I have no idea but it was so delicious and it tasted comforting and tropical. The pad thai was very unique. It was also very sweet and the noodles were more of a red color than I've ever seen. But it was definitely my favorite out of anywhere. Often when I have a pad thai other places I can't taste the flavor much unless it's really hot. This place mastered a mild pad thai with a lot of flavor. The drunken noodles were also really good. These were on par with other restaurants and it wasn't much different than usual. Although, it was refreshing and was not oily or too salty; which can happen elsewhere. The green curry was amazing it had unique produce in it. It was very light and you can taste a lot of the coconut milk which is fun. It was also very refreshing. There's bamboo shoots and what seems to be some type of squash. I loved how unique this was without tasting much different than I was expecting. The only thing I was not expecting is how refreshing and light it felt. The mango sticky rice was really good and it was pretty much the same as other places. I forgot to use the sweet sauce that came with it unfortunately. I saw it on my counter after we were done so I'm going to have to order this again to form a final opinion. Looking for a super cute, cozy, charming lunch spot for Thai?! Pearl is the place to be. Came by here for a mid-week lunch break. Place was crowded, which is always a good sign, and the hostess/waitress were very welcoming and kind. Started with the Thai Iced tea which was beyond amazing. Followed up with the spicy seafood salad which was very light, and tasty. The seafood salad had plenty of crab, mussels, shrimp, white fish, and calamari. Lastly, can't go to a Thai spot and not have the Pad Thai, so we opted for the Pad Thai with shrimp which was delicious beyond words. Both dishes was plenty to share amongst two.
