Recently, we came back for a mini reunion and made Eberle a place where our party of 8 could relax, unwind, and reminisce of yesteryears while enjoying the beautiful views from the covered vineyard deck, and needless to say we absolutely had a blast! The tasting experience was still complimentary thanks to the blessed heart of Mr. Gary Eberle (thank you kind Sir), who also happened to grill up some delicious meats and smoked sausage that day (Santa Maria style), which was the perfect pairing to his wines. Special mention to Stephanie, who did an phenomenal job guiding us through the last cave tour of the day...and Mr. Eberle, she truly did your story justice (and then some!). WOW! We left there with plenty of purchases as well...too good to pass up! Oh and ladies, give their Rosé and Muscat Canelli a try...so refreshing! CHEERS and happy eating till next time...

It was my first time trying a Viognier, it was delicious! The server described it was a "white wine for red drinkers" and I can see why. Really full-bodied, almost a creamy mouthfeel, overall delicious. Such a great time at Sculpterra, we'll be back and have recommended it to everyone we've talked to since then!

I figured we would be seated but the tasting occured standing up at the bar, which was fine. The tastings were generous, and customizable. My friend decided to do a white tasting, and I did the standard tasting. It was pretty hot, so about halfway through the tasting, we sat down at a table in the shade and walked up for the rest of our tastings but by that time, a large group had come through so the server was busier but still managed to remember where we were in the tasting. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. When we were done with our tastings, we walked around the property to look at the sculptures and the grounds. I did buy a bottle of wine and picked it up inside where they had other items for sale from local vendors, including our server who makes soap with her goat's milk.

He was engaging, personable, and made us feel effortlessly comfortable. As for the wine, we skipped the tasting and opted for something refreshing on a hot day. We both enjoyed a couple of glasses of the Grenache Blanc! The space itself deserves recognition, too. Serial Wines has a beautiful, minimalist interior that feels both sophisticated and inviting. The comfortable seating and relaxing atmosphere made it the perfect place to unwind over a glass of wine. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we returned after dinner for a nightcap, and to our delight, Shawn took care of us once again! He's truly a gem. We'll absolutely be returning whenever we're back in Paso Robles. Thank you, Shawn and the entire Serial Wines team, for such a wonderful experience!

Cass has always been our go-to spot for lunch, so while celebrating a birthday in Paso this weekend, we made a reservation for six and were really looking forward to a delicious meal. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing from start to finish. After everyone ordered food and wine, it took about 20 minutes for the first entrée to arrive. Our friend's Piggy Pig came out first, and the rest of us waited another 15 minutes for our meals, leaving their food to get cold while everyone waited. My husband ordered the Estate Burger, which has always been one of the reasons we return to Cass. This time, the patty was small, dry, and looked more like a frozen patty than the fresh, juicy, artisan-style burger we remembered. My brother-in-law and I ordered the Campanelle with chicken. The pasta was hot, but the chicken was cold, and the two identical orders were noticeably different in portion size. Because we were celebrating a birthday and didn't want to spoil the weekend, we chose not to make a big issue of it at the time. We did mention our concerns to one of the servers and asked whether the burger had changed. We were told no changes had been made and were simply advised to try the tri-tip next time, which didn't really address our concerns. Sadly, I don't think we'll be returning. Cass has been a favorite of ours for a long time, which made this experience especially disappointing. It is also one of the higher-priced dining options in Paso, so we expected the food and service to reflect that. Perhaps it was simply an off day, but unfortunately, it felt like it was at our expense.

The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and it wasn't loud at all, which made it easy to sit back and enjoy a conversation with my husband at a comfortable volume. The setting itself was great! Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. We ordered a $24 pizza that had virtually no flavor. The sauce was plain, the cheese was tasteless, and overall, it mostly tasted like plain dough. For me, it was especially disappointing because this was our first stop to kick off our vacation. That said, my husband really enjoyed the lamb, so there was at least one dish that stood out for him. Our waiter was great very kind and understanding and he was nice enough to remove the pizza from our check without any hesitation. I truly appreciated the customer service. Overall, the beautiful setting, relaxing atmosphere, and great service were positives, but I really hope the kitchen works on adding more flavor and seasoning to their pizzas.
