Part of the problem is they have two outdoor seat areas, a bar area, a bistro area, and a main dining room, that has to be covered. They also sell a lot of small items to people getting off at the Metro North train station. The portions are smaller than expected. The steak sandwich comes with fries, but some pickles and coleslaw would be a nice addition; because there's not much meat in it. Even trying to settle the bill as a major operation. You can sit inside or outside, and the whole place gives me a cool Brooklyn lounge/café feel. Smooth jazz and R&B playing in the background just adds to the vibe. They cater to and strongly support local artists and musicians which is very cool! The location is tucked back on Esther Place in Peekskill, across from the large Assumption Church building, and that may honestly be BeanRunner's biggest disadvantage. I truly believe that if this place weren't so tucked away, they'd be packed every day.
