My finished General Tso's Chicken!!

Best restaurant in Raleigh. Absolutely class from everyone involved, greatness embodied in an establishment. Thank you peace China!

I got invited to lunch and was told"we're eating the most delicious fresh Chinese food"! Needless to say I was all in! We arrived at Peace China around 1230p on a Monday. I was surprised that it wasn't packed but it was busy. The restaurant is a typical design with counter to order, self-serve drinks and condiments. The decor was light and airy which was refreshing. The cashier who took our order was pleasant and helpful. There was no wait. Our food arrived hot to the table served on paper plates and bowls. Portions were somewhat large. First taste of my spicy garlic shrimp with vegetables was delicious. Large shrimp in a brown sauce with broccoli, onions, green bell peppers and mushrooms was tasty and the garlic was not overpowering. I ordered the white rice and it was cooked well. The spring rolls were yummy warm and flavorful. I tried a ginger sauce...not to my liking though. Overall the experience was pleasant and the meal was delicious and tasted fresh. The restaurant was very clean which was good. I recommend it! Very busy area with lots of construction and traffic. Parking could be an issue. Just a heads-up!

Y'all. The steamed dumplings here are special. I ate them too quick to take a picture. Kung Pao chicken was not spicy, but if you add their red pepper sauce, it is downright decent. Vegetarian Singapore noodles were great. . . after adding a little soy sauce. Everything was very fresh and I appreciate that it wasn't overwhelmingly salty. Portion sizes were great, service was fast. I used to live in China and I am coming here again.

Peace China is was just okay! I went here with the staff from my job it was clergy appreciation day and this the place they all selected. I was excited because it was my first time! When I first arrived the first thing that I noticed was the parking! There was plenty of parking available and the parking lot was huge so it wasn't a problem at all. Ps, I didn't even know peace China was in the spot that it is. When we walked in the space wasn't very big but they seemed to be the spot for lunch goers in the area. There wasn't a wait at all. When we got there we ordered and sat down! The food came out shortly afterwards. We all ordered something different. But I had the General Tao's Chicken and then they ordered spring rolls, dumplings and crab Wontons for the table to share. My food was just okay! The spring rolls were okay, the crab wontons weren't that great and I didn't get a chance to try the dumplings although everyone said that they were good! The restaurant isn't very big but it was clean. We were able to put a few tables to accommodate our party! Overall this place was just okay I was a little underwhelmed by the food! But the service was fast and efficient!

Every now and then, I get a craving for the food of my people which brought me over to Peace China in Seaboard. While the Seaboard area is not the most obvious choice for lunch, they've got some nice options there with J. Betskis, 18 Seaboard and now Peace China! The place is really simple: open kitchen, formica tables and inexpensive Chinese food. Lunch specials are $5.25, throw in an egg roll for a combo lunch and you're looking at about $7. Menu choices are standard Chinese-american fare: General Tso's, chicken in garlic sauce, beef and broccoli, etc. Nothing too exciting but fine for what I needed today. I ordered up a couple of my faves to go: shrimp with lobster sauce and a garlic chicken. Food portions are good and everything tasted pretty good. One thing different about the garlic chicken was that Peace China uses quite a few veggies in it: mushrooms, peppers, onion, cabbage, broccoli and zucchini! Much better than the typical soggy stuff you get. Service was fine but a bit slower than expected, at least you know the food is fresh. I'm sure I'll be back here sometime soon because while Peace China isn't the best Chinese food, it's tasty and convenient which is good enough if you live in the hood!

I came right before a show at the Alamo Drafthouse around the corner, which makes it the perfect night out for dinner and show. It looks like a lot of people order takeout here, but they have ample tables and do offer an excellent dine in service. I loved their green beans and eggplant. All their food felt more authentic and homestyle than your typical run of the mill Chinese place. The food had flavor, and it wasn't overly greasy either! I'll definitely come back next time in near north Raleigh.

The shrimp, beef, & chicken meal would've been okay if the beef hadn't been questionably fresh (I didn't eat any after the first bite) and the tough, overcooked shrimp. I tipped 15% because the service was terrible. Aside from the lady yelling, "It's okay?" from the kitchen, she never checked on me. Usually, I tip between 25-30%. After I paid and left the restaurant, the rude cashier followed me out to my car. Pointing to the receipt & tip, he yelled, "This is it?? %15 tip??" The only positive thing that I can say about Chuan Cafe is that the Diet Coke was good.

I have to say about this little gem, I've been cheating myself…read more Why is it that I moved to my current location in 2021, and never think to look at places on Six Forks Road? Maybe it's because I lived in Wake Forest, maybe it's because I work there still, IDK, but I've glad I can make up for lost time now. A friend wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. Funny thing, he got the orange chicken and didn't really like it. It is VERY orangey. I got one of the other lunch specials, I think maybe the beef basil one. Mine was good, so good in fact that a few weeks later when my family was needing an Asian fix, I sent them to Ni Asian. They were pleased, but got Chinese food. Last week, my daughter and I went, and wow, yes, WOW............I got the noodle dish listed first on menu (not a lunch special), ad it was good, but my daughter got the Pad See Ew, something I have never ordered, being a Drunken Noodle fan myself..........but I tasted hers, and it was so good, I was jealous. So, yeah, we went AGAIN yesterday, she got the Pad See Ew again, and I tried the Drunken Noodles, which were amazing..........not spicy like I'm used to getting, but so flavorful. What will I try next?

The bill was brought to us shortly before we stopped eating, but the staff were not over visiting the table to rush us. I left a double tip since we were there for over an hour during the lunch rush. Totally fair because, as I mentioned, there weren't many spaces available for eating in. I will definitely return to Ni Asian.

I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

Food was impeccable. I'll be back!…read more On a Saturday night around 8pm, I ordered a bunch of food for about 20 people as an impromptu post graduation dinner at my house. We were ravenous, but had an intense Chinese food craving, so we ordered Chengdu 7 food from Uber Eats. Food did not disappoint! We ordered sesame chicken, chef special fried rice, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef*, shrimp fried rice, and everything was delicious! Fan favorites were the Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice, but honestly EVERYTHING was good. And you can tell a lot from a place by how they package your food: food was delivered in tightly seeled packs and labeled! It sounds minor, but is so helpful when you're feed 2 dozen hungry people. All in all, Chengdu 7 you truly made me a fan of you. I will most certainly be returning for more!

Every dish was wonderful. And for anyone who has not tried the hand pulled noodles here you really must try them - they are a highlight of a meal - incredibly delicious with a wonderful texture. The flow of food to our table was great, not too fast or rushed and not too slow. Our waitress was wonderful and ensured that our group had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. Will I be back again - Absolutely!! Everyone in our group agrees that this is the best Chinese food anywhere! I will caution some seeing this review that unlike many other Asian restaurants, if you order a Hot and spicy dish here it will indeed be very hot. I consider that to be good because I enjoy hot spicy food, but for those who cannot handle hot food stick with the milder dishes.

Room for probably 3 diff groups of people to eat. There were tables to seat 4, two tall stool seats by the window facing the parking lot, and a tucked away spot with a folding chair beside it and had cups of utensils on it. I ordered the cold flour noodle with sesame sauce and the shaanxi mutton soak buns. Both were tasty and the cold noodles were refreshing. The employee described the mutton soak buns dish as a soup soaked pancake which is pretty accurate. It reminds me of a rice porridge but with chopped dough instead of rice. The restroom is in the back through the kitchen which is kinda cool because you can see them rolling out all the round flat bread that they use for the dishes. I'm guessing it's what they use for the rougamo (I've seen it at other Chinese restaurants described as a Chinese hamburger) and the shaanxi soak buns. It almost has a gnocchi type of consistency. It isn't your average fried rice and stir fry type of Chinese restaurant so if you're looking for something like that it might not meet your expectations. I would definitely come back to try other menu items. Also, get the plum juice. It's delicious!
