I had been with the same mobile shredding company for more than a decade, which I normally call every 9-15 months. When I called this week, I found out they sold their business a year ago and was bummed. I typically have about two to three 13-gal bags filled. This time it was 2.5 bags. The quote I got from Assured (the company that bought Cutters) gave me a quote of about $130. That's nuts. Reggie from Cutters used to charge me close to $40 or so. I would meet the truck wherever near me on one of their routes. No big deal. And I would see my stuff being shredded. This worked well for over a decade. Assured said they would be happy to help me (at 2-3x the cost). Called some other places and would've went with another company that was willing to work with me, but on the day I wanted shredding and called that company to see if they could fit me in on their route, I didn't get a call back in a timely manner, not until the end of the work day and by that time, I found THIS company, PREMIER, who was willing to work with me. Premier does not have a mobile service that I'm aware of and they are located near the 143 & University, which isn't too far from the engineering place I retired from awhile back. I spoke with Sophia (I think that's her name) and she was very friendly, polite, professional. She gave me instructions that were simple to follow. I drove through the gate and pulled up in the area for Personal Drop off. David (the lead guy) and Mark met me, helped me carry my stuff into the warehouse where they do the shredding. They allowed me to watch the shredding take place, told me how much it would cost me, and asked how I wanted to pay. I paid by my Apple wallet. Shredding happened quickly. David explained to me how the shredding machine works. It was all good and very quick. Yes, I had to drive from Gilbert to Tempe, but it was mostly freeway, so less than 20 min. The price turned out to be better than I expected. I will be back. read more

I had a large box of documents that needed to be shredded. They were great - did the job and friendly staff!

Used them for years. Veteran business. Great Will continue to use them even though I live far away read more

They were so kind, helpful, and affordable. They even helped me carry my boxes from the car. If I knew getting rid of old paperwork and mail was this easy, I would have done it a long time ago! read more

I've been using this company for several years. I prefer to drop off my documents. Drop off service is easy and affordable.

Great service. Came out to car to assist with boxes of papers. Would definitely use again.

My friend recommended this place for my paper shredding needs. They are wonderful, fast, professional, and affordable. read more

My experience here today was first class! Was treated very professionally by the nice young woman in the office. Brought car full of documents to back dock and was helped by pleasant young man. He unloaded, gave me bill to pay, back at office. This place is immaculate, totally secured, and fairly priced. What more can you want? read more

They came to my car to get my papers and offered me the ability to watch but I had no concerns. It was quick and easy and I only wish I had done this sooner. read more

I have used this company for service several times. I have pretty low expectations of a document shredding service other than take my boxes and dispose of the contents without creating some unnecessary hassle. Nonetheless, I intentionally go out of my way to have the serviced performed here because the people are so nice that it makes the chore more tolerable. One of the women in the office is so sweet that she even gave my child a puzzle once, which turned getting drug along on a really boring chore into an exciting adventure. This company truly exceeds my expectations. read more

Great Service and economical too! Very professional. This is my 2nd time using this company...convenient and no hassel!

Easy and comforting to safely rid of confidential documents. Got to watch my documents get shredded.

This place is so great!! They're very courteous very friendly. You see your documents being shredded, after which you they give you a paper slip you go to the office and pay. I had a bigger size of a large box the cost was 10 bucks but if you are a veteran you get 50% off so I paid only $5. Truly a wonderful experience. read more

I can't believe I've been putting this off for so long. The entire process was painless and took about 10 minutes, ...and only that because I asked to watch my stuff being shredded. The facility is impressive and well-laid-out. One side handles semi-trucks and the other side handles anything smaller - right down to and including me driving up in my Jeep with a few banker's boxes. PD Shred runs a tight ship. I was really impressed by their secure business processes. I had to sign in at the front office and get a badge. Then, they had me sign in again to enter and exit the warehouse where I went to observe the shredding. I was with someone the entire time and not once could I have gained access to anyone else's information (either pre or post shredding). Their procedures were clearly scaleable and designed to be effective during both slow and busy times. It happened to be really slow when I was there but, they didn't cut a single corner when it came to security. Also, a nice reminder that PD Shred is a locally-owned business was that Harry, the company's founder, personally came out to help me. Finally, the cost was more than reasonable. They charge $8 to shred as much paper as you can stuff into a bankers box (it's even okay to have books, notebooks, heavy plastic, and other stuff that would never go through an office-shredder - just leave out anything metal). It is a nice departure from some of the pack-and-ship/mailbox stores' pay-by-the-pound pricing. Conclusion: Best shredding service I've found, this side of the 17 (I haven't looked on the West side). Highly secure, fast & friendly service with surprisingly low prices. Highly recommended, even if you have a bit of a drive. read more

What a wonderful shredding experience. Very easy and reasonable priced. $10/bankers box.

Five star -easily the best shredding service in the valley! But be careful, because PD Shred is located in a Tempe business park are loaded with other shredding companies that don't quite make the "cut." Look for PD shred. This was my 3rd visit here over a period of years. Always friendly with a nice big loading dock out back to load one's banker boxes. Today I had 9 boxes filled to turn in and couldn't wait to send these files to heaven. As always I was met with a smile and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. PD apparently stands for "Police Department," and it says this business supports officers and vets. It's a good angle and I'm glad to support them. Prices were extremely reasonable per box - and Sylvia at the front desk took my credit card professionally. This is a company that knows their business and does it well - under-promise and over-deliver. Well done and I've already filed PD Shredding under the letter A ...for "awesome company." read more

Great place. Great service. This was our fifth visit to this business. The service is always exceptional and the price is very reasonable. The documents get shredded as soon as you drop them off. They also allow you to observe if you feel like doing so. We will definitely be back! read more

So happy to easily drop off five boxes of Office stuff, watch it get shredded, and officially be a paper free office. Happiest day of my career! $40 ! read more

What a simple and pleasant experience it was to deal with PDShred! I contacted many of the local shredders and PDShred was the easiest to deal with and the least expensive. Other companies had ridiculous minimums, one had a multi page contract and a pre pay demand. Do yourself a favor, deal with these folks and don't waste your time with the others. read more

I had let my old mail/bills/documents pile up. I couldn't be bothered to wait for a "free" shred-a-thon day that would probably be no where near me and have long lines. Glad I chose PDShred. They responded quickly to my email and were super helpful when I dropped off my stuff. They charge based on number of boxes not weight. I had 3, 11 gallon garbage bags which equaled about 3 standard banker boxes. I was charged $18. For me that was worth the convenience. They also offer a certificate stating it's been shredded. Would recommend to others. read more

I was looking for an economical way to shred some private papers and I am so happy I found this business on Yelp. I agree with the other reviewers! It's hard to find a shredding place that will take your personal documents at any time. But these guys do - and for cheap! $6-8 for a huge bag. Staff was incredibly helpful and charming. and when I dropped stuff off, the guy who took my bags asked if I wanted to watch it get shredded. Not only is it just fun to watch - but I now have no worries that anyone there is looking through my stuff while it's waiting to be shredded. read more

Forget the "Shred Nation" scams (when you call other shredders) which is $130/10 boxes to come to your home, I dropped off at PD Shred in Tempe and it was half the price, no waiting, and the staff was fast and friendly. They shred. LIterally. read more

Great experience. I recently took on a re-model project and it resulted in me needing the help of a shredding company. They answered the phone when I called and answered all my questions and more. I had to call back two more times when more questions and they were always there. One time they did not answer but I got a call right back. I ended up dropping off everything and that process was super easy as well. I was very satisfied with the cost. Give them a call if you are in need of shredding. read more
