Our office had boxes, and boxes, and boxes, and more boxes to dispose of, but they contained information that needed to be securely shredded to protect confidentiality. Shred-it offers a mobile shredding service that eliminates the uncertainty of having sensitive information being transported to an extra place for shredding, since all shredding is done in their mobile unit truck. They normally will come by from 8-5, but our office closes early on the day we scheduled our pick-up. They made every assurance that the truck would come by before we left. When they arrived (halfway through our short work day) all our boxes were disposed of in a short amount of time. The drivers will have large hand-trucks to cart out the boxes needed to be shredded, and they will load them up for you. Although front desk receptionist isn't very friendly on the phone, the other staff, such as Jim the scheduling/quotes agent and our driver Jermaine were very friendly and courteous. If I could give this company 0 stars I would and I am not even a customer. My neighbor hired Shred It and the truck pulled up along the side of my property. The top of the truck hit the side of my house, causing a considerable amount of damage. Thankfully we have a ring doorbell, which was able to catch the truck driving away after the incident. The pieces that broke off and fell from our house had been picked up off the ground, which we believe it was how they tried to cover up the accident. We immediately called the company to speak to someone about filing a claim since this was a textbook hit and run accident. They completely blew us off- never once followed up with us or sent out a representative like they said they would do. We also called multiple times to follow up, which clearly was just a huge waste of time. At this point I will be taking matters beyond them to make sure they are held accountable to the damage they did to my house. I am not a customer of Shred it and now I absolutely never will be. Thank you Shred It for causing me all this trouble over something that should have never happened in the first place. If how they handled this situation is any representation of their value of people or customers, nobody should ever be giving them business. read more

Stay away! Used this company for a few years and they overcharged me which I had numerous conversations with AR about and they said it was cleared up. Got a call from a collection agency today for a past due balance of $95.00 and I told them to pound sand. I hope the 1 star review was worth the $95.00. read more

Waited at the Tru West credit union for 30 minutes and they didn't show up for the Shred A Thon. The representative from the credit union tried getting in touch and no one responded. Very disappointed. No communication. I would have given no stars but I had to choose one by default. read more

Just saw one of your drivers push a woman's stalled car out of the middle of the road at Gilbert and baseline. Nice to see!

I have used Shred- it for years and every year they automatically raise your rates rather dramatically. We finally had enough of that and called. Afterwards, they basically said that is automatically part of their business practices unless you call every year to complain. We decided to move on to another company who charged half their rate and cancelled service. Upon termination they charged our card on file for twice what was normal and stated that it was their error but it will take a month to fix and refund us back. I spent an hour on the phone talking to different departments but they still couldn't figure things out. I would steer clear of this company they seem to not be very will organized. read more

I am a business that sells shredding and Shred-It provides the shredding. For almost a decade Shred-It bins are in my store and when they get full Shred-It comes and shreds everything. About once or twice a year when I get invoiced from Shred-It they overcharge me. It takes a lot of going up the chain of command to get the invoices corrected and it takes a lot of time and effort. And since turn over is very high at Shred-It, I have to deal with a different person every time they decide to over charge. They recently over charged me again. They let me know that this was the new pricing when I called them. Instead of going through chain this time, I have decided to cancel business with Shred -It. They have poor customer service and they change prices without any communications. Also the turn over is like a revolving door with this company which tells me something in itself. The associates who I most recently dealt with, who didn't want to help me are Mary Osborne and Gil Whisner. Thanks for doing nothing for a long time customer. read more
