SUPER HONEST!!! I had a Seagate 8 TB hard drive hub that was…read morerunning, fall off my table headfirst onto the floor, and landed on the front connectors of my hard drive. It jammed the USB A, remote plug for my wireless mouse, into the front of the hard drive. After I picked it up the drive and tried to plug it into my computer, the drive would not mount. I thought all was lost, so I sent it over to Desert Data Recovery. I got a call the next day from a very nice woman, Kaylynn Ehlers. She explained that they would get to it after the weekend. They got back to me on Monday and explained the situation. They had taken the drive apart, and ran some tests, and said that although they could get the drive to Mount once they removed it from the case, they could not guarantee the integrity of the data. Kaylynn explained they could run a data recovery on the drive and quoted me a very reasonable price, but I opted to take the drive and try to recover the data myself since the drive could mount. I was actually successful and VERY LUCKY all data was recoverable. I really want to thank Kaylynn Ehlers over at Desert Data Recovery for her honesty and for helping me with the situation without a cost. I really trust these guys as they were honest with me and also quoted me a reasonable data recovery price. If I ever am in a situation again, where I need data recovery, I will not hesitate to give these people my business. They charge nothing upfront for an estimate with some analysis. A lot of companies do charge an up-front fee. Additionally, you don't have to send out your drive. You can drop it off locally, either in Mesa, Arizona or in Peoria. Nicky, one of the co-owners, explained what they could do and how the whole process would work. I never wondered about it because it was so clear what they could/would and could/would not do. I left my hard drive with them and in a short time had an email explaining that they probably could recover my photos. And they did! I was so happy. The price is not cheap but it's reasonable considering what DDR is doing for you, In my case, in was bringing back 20 years of photos. (By the way, I learned to back up everything - redundancy!) I recommend this service without hesitation. They are transparent and customer-focused. They said I would have to take my computer elsewhere (because it was "outdated") to have a power unit installed. I began contacting Computer repair business businesses to get pricing on installation of a new Power Unit . Within a few minutes, I received a phone call from Ray (as a result of my inquiry to his business). I told him the issue. After only briefly speaking to him on the telephone he was able to tell me that it was unlikely to be the power unit. While on the phone he gave me some instructions of what to do to my computer and, like magic, it came to life! No power unit necessary! That, alone, saved between $250 and $550 (or more). Then, he was able to tell me, via the phone, that my operating system, as well as the new operating system that I installed, we're both corrupted. Again, over the phone, he was able to successfully guide me how to take care of THAT issue. FURTHERMORE, he stayed on the phone with me and directed me how to clear my cash and get rid of things that he called useless "crumbs" scattered throughout my computer that slowed my computer down. Talk about going above and beyond!! And, voilà, as he said it would, My computer worked faster than it has in years. This man is a true fountain of Apple knowledge (and probably for Windows), repair, and upkeep. More importantly, I believe him to be the most ethical and hard-working people I've encountered in any field. The apple store quoted me at $1300 and sean completely repaired my water damaged 2017 macbook pro and was able to recover all of my data for just $400.
