I had a sinking feeling when I called my PC repairman, Andrey at Emergency PC Services, and was patched in to Andrew who politely explained that his friend, Andrey, had moved to another state and was forwarding his customers to him at PC's DoneRight. Andrey was not only a great technician, he was honest with a wonderful "bedside manner" when it came to listening and explaining things in the computer world without making me feel like a complete doofus. After talking to Andrew for a minute, I was getting the same vibe so I dropped my Laptop off with him that day. It did take several days longer than I had hoped to get it back because a fan had to be ordered but the price was fair and the customer service was stellar in terms of communication and professionalism. The technician who worked on my laptop, Dorian, was great about communicating with me through the process of reinstalling my operating system and then helping me get back up to speed once I got home with it. He was sooo patient and encouraged me to call him if there was anything else he could do to help. I also got a followup email from Andrew a couple of weeks later just to see if everything was going alright with the repair. Thank you to Andrey for not leaving me high and dry and thank you Andrew and Dorian for doing such of great job of filling his shoes! What to say.. I asked for a quote from PC's Done Right and three other companies (I had meant to only request it from PC's Done Right, but Yelp apparently decided I needed to send to more businesses..), and Andrew at PC's Done Right was the fastest to respond (maybe 15 minutes at most), and their pricing was not the lowest, but nearly. I am quite knowledgeable about hardware and software, but I find building computers from scratch to be deeply stressful. I worry about plugging things into ports incorrectly, not plugging headers into optimal pins, and more than anything I worry I'll overlook something that would be beneficial. Also, I am the worst when it comes to cable management. Dorian did amazing work. He gave me a call when my PSU didn't support two CPU connections, and I felt awful having to go to Fry's, get a new PSU and he had to re-work all of his very impressive cable management. Not because the PSU is expensive (it is), but because he clearly takes great pride in the work, and having to repeat it with what looked to be shorter cables was going to be a time sink. Not a single complaint. A tempered glass case sort of demands intricate work, and this was nothing but a good experience. I've got a new gaming system that, unlike my previous (self-) build, doesn't put out tons of heat that can't be dissipated fast enough. read more

I need to scream this from the hilltop! You DO NOT have to go to Seattle or Bellevue for EXCELLENT computer repair!! I was quite sure I would have to until I read some of their reviews and decided to take a chance on PCs Done Right in Kent and boy am I glad I did! My daughter broke the screen on her ASUS ZenBook and took it somewhere local to her in Ohio where they simply slapped a regular LCD replacement screen on it. This was not the correct screen so she returned it to them and ended up replacing her laptop and when I became in need of one, she sent this one to me. As it turns out this particular model is so thin that the screen is actually three super thin layers and thanks to the expertise of Andrew and Dorian I now have a beautiful screen that works perfectly!! I have already dropped off another laptop in need and am confident they'll figure out this one's particular issue as well. It was Christmas evening and I'm at my wits end because my laptop is essentially dying. It would not start up! I had the looping windows startup circles. And I had other issues prior, as well. Let's just say I had accepted the fact I needed to retrieve my data and replace my PC. As a freelance IT consultant timing was horrible. I had year end invoices to get out and tax reporting to send out. Based on Yelp reviews, I left a message that night. The next morning I get a call from cheerful Dorian who instructed me to bring my laptop in at my earliest convenience and assured me he could help. Introduce Andrew. Andrew was expecting me. He walked me through his triage and explained the assessments he would do on my PC and what the possible outcomes would be. A couple more status calls to inform me of his progress and a day later I get my laptop back. I have used PC's Done Right two times the first time with my smaller pc I brought it down to their shop. It would not boot up, to make a long story short Andrew fixed it and told me to pick it up the next day after saving all my data removing any bad junk and setting it up to run better. I was very happy with the price and all he did for me. Today June 26th 2014 I called the shop while at work to see if he would service on site as my larger pc is heavy to carry down stairs and would prefer not to. He said he would be at my house in 30 to 40 minutes wow. I explained I was at work and would be home at 3 pm. He later called me at home told me he was on his way. Andrew again saved what I wanted fixed what was wrong and also set it up to work even better. I cannot say enough about how happy and satisfied I am. Andrew you are the man. I cannot recommend this place enough. The location tucked away but very worth it to find! Justin was friendly and I was helped quickly. I brought in my laptop that I had recently dropped, creating both a very broken/cracked LCD touch screen and dents in the assembly top and bottom. I needed a full assembly replacement, so the part was both expensive and difficult to find. Even knowing this, I said I needed the laptop fixed within a week because I was leaving for college, which I thought might be an impossible request. Not only was I offered an incredibly reasonable price, they worked with my time frame and made me feel like they genuinely cared about fixing my computer for school while getting me a good deal. Justin found the part, expedited the shipping, and completed the labor within just four days. I am nothing but impressed and grateful for the work they did and the treatment I received. I brought my computer in because I was having overheating issues when gaming, up to 82c & the glass panel was hot to the touch. Justin took the time to explain everything and was very helpful in telling me why it was overheating and what he did to patch it up. PC's Done Right is the only place i'd consider taking my computer to get repaired, with them I feel secure in knowing my pc is in safe hands. Justin also offered to take my pc down to my car which was pretty cool, he also made sure my pc was secure in my car so it wouldn't slip/fall while driving. I have a personal computer that went black screen on me. I messed around with it a little trying to get it to do something.... anything.... there was nothing on the screen. I had a friend look at it he tried a few things to no avail. I went into PC's Done Right Andrew immediately went to work on it within minutes he had it working made a few adjustments and boom working just fine. He suggested a couple of things that would increase the speed. So I went for a little upgrade. I now have a screamin machine with a new backup hard drive. Very professional and the work that needed to be done to my laptop was within a reasonable price. I had went in and told Dorian (hope I spelled his name right) my issue...gave him my info and walked out. Got a call back within a few days and was told what needed to be done. Within 48 hours maybe a bit less, was told everything was squared away. I was able to drop by the shop and pick up my laptop after work all fully functional and good as new!! I would definitely recommend this shop to my friends, family and coworkers..heck even my dog if he had a broken PC that needed work done to it. These guys rock! My computer was in bad shape, the whole case was wonky (had been for a while), Opening and closing it was always an adventure/risk. But it was usable until the power jack completely popped out and it stopped charging. These guys gave me a fair price for the power jack (around 120), but said the case would like likely cost more to fix...so we were just gonna leave the case. I was ok as long as it was usable. Not only did they fix the jack, the case is now like new, and when it had a cooling issue two days later, they went back and fixed that too! They were quick, professional, went above what I asked for, but didn't charge me any extra. I'm beyond pleased and have found my new pc repair shop! read more

I had lived in kent for 12 years and the moved away for two years, had a bad experience with this place ten years ago. As it happens, present day, I needed some tricky work done that I know any other computer shop would of took advantage of me and charged to the hilt and I would of paid it because its either do it or throw the machine and all my research away. These guys not only saved my ass but were reasonable to the limits. I definitely recommend these people to anyone, they don't talk down to you, belittle you like RE PC does. Reasonable diagnostic fee for checking out my laptop. The tech kept ongoing communication regarding findings, parts, timeframe etc. Turns out I was in need of a new motherboard, so we opted not to repair (almost 4 yrs old) and instead put the cost toward a new laptop.
