Rather than politely turning us down as they were busy she laughed when I said 6 and said they wouldn't be able to seat us tonight. I was also shocked to see a receipt with a credit card fee at a restaurant with those prices. Was hoping for a good Italian spot but I guess the search continues. I've never had a bad meal here. I'm currently having a lunch special which is filet of sole with salad. It's crispy, not oily and delicious. The salad is simple but good. On other visits I've had different types of pastas which were always cooked perfectly. It's never busy at lunch so service is very quick. Brooke is a great bartender and sweet. I've never had to wait on a drink. Once I came and they were closed but the owner asked us to come in anyway. read more

Wife and I went there on a Friday in Oct; Really wanted to like the restaurant- looking for an Italian restaurant near Sterling. This place failed on almost all accounts. They bring you bread, but it is only boring white-ish bread, not rosemary bread, not anything regional. And there is virgin olive oil on the table (good quality), but would ti be too much to expect some red pepper flakes or garlic to add to it? My entree was somewhat bland (I am being polite here, and not saying tasteless). I had fish (the swordfish) that could have passed for chicken. It was remarkable only for the simplicity of the preparation. The chef should be introduced to a new ingredient: garlic. My wife and I really wanted to like this place. We didn't. It was slightly loud. The food was uninspired. The only thing we can say positive about the experience was that the service was flawless. We won't be back. read more

Worst pizza I have had in many years! Brought two pizzas - Ducati and Piccirella on a Saturday night and they were so bad that it spoiled the Saturday night. The pizzas were stinking, leathery, distasteful. Never going back to this place again! I saw good ratings and thought about trying...boy was I wrong! I repent my decision for not going to the known places instead. Update: The business owner appreciated my honest review before but now disagrees. :-) I have had Neapolitan wood-fired pizza before and what I received that day was horrible to taste. I'd give this place 5 stars for service, 3.5 for food, but 3 for prices. The service was very fast and efficient, and Angelo our waiter was perfect. We had a few pasta dishes, and I had the duck special with a fig sauce. The pasta was a little too al dente for us, and the duck was over cooked. The flavor of the fig sauce was excellent though, and my daughter has become a fan of gnocchi because theirs was so good. We also had the panna cotta and chocolate cheesecake for dessert. The panna cotta was very small for such a high price, and was too gelatin-y. The cheesecake was dry. The prices were too high for a place like this in a location like this, and we left agreeing that this was a one (almost) hit wonder. read more

We had dinner Sunday evening. Enjoy our dinner and bottle of wine. When I received the check I was surprised to see a 3% added fee for credit card use. I have heard that some restaurants might be charging a fee for CC use. We dine out often and have not experienced this charge at any other restaurant. I understand the rising costs of running a business but credit card companies have been charging this fee forever. This is just the cost of doing business. So when we decide to go out to dinner in the future , do we go to a restaurant that adds 3% CC or to the restaurant that doesn't? read more

I really liked this restaurant in Vienna and so I'm always trying to get my family to come with me to the Ashburn location. The gnocchi there are my favorite and are pretty good - pizza is okay; I've had better. My issue is that if you call or go online to do takeout they charge you a container fee. I have a problem paying for containers to bring their food home, so we decided to go and dine in to avoid this extra fee. We dined in today and when received the bill noticed a different total price if you use credit card. They are now basically passing through the credit card fee directly to customers. I have a problem with that. That is their cost of doing business and agreeing to accept credit cards. I have a problem with all businesses that say they accept credit cards- but then charge you the fee that the credit card company charges them. If you don't want to pay the credit card company the fee they charge - then don't accept them. Don't give better pricing for cash-paying customers. Not okay. Also - I'm sure the credit card industry would love to know you encourage customers to not use their cards because it will cost THEM more. Also paid $10 for a fruit and cheese plate - it was a joke. 2 strawberries, 2 raspberries, 1/4 of an apple thinly sliced - and 3 pieces of hard cheese that was stale tasting. Pretty bad. read more

While the food itself was above average the service was terrible when you factor in the pricing of a standard Italian dish of chicken parmigiana at $29. They completely forgot our appetizer, delivered intially someone else's food to our table, and got my order wrong as I asked for penne pasta and received standard spaghetti. I would have sent it back, but they had brought my 5 and 6 year olds food so early and did not take our order until 15 to 20 minutes had passed that I could not wait for them to make it right. This was my first experience at this restaurant and while the food itself was decent, I am not paying the type of top dollar level that I can get the same meal at somewhere else for almost half the price. NOT ENFORCING MASKS: I typically LOVE this location but I was extremely disappointed in your lack of enforcement of mask wearing. I came to pick up food around 7:20pm on 12/10 and I saw signs on the door saying not to enter without a mask on. But right in the front, a male customer was not wearing his mask and standing right up front by the hostess waiting for his food and wine purchase to be bagged up. The woman he was with was wearing a mask. I was disappointed that the hostess and other staff there were allowing this man to come in without wearing a mask even though you had signs saying it wasn't allowed so I am simply confused why this man was not told to walk out. When the hostess looked at me in the foyer area, I told her "I am not coming in because that man is not wearing a mask" she essentially dismissed it and didn't say anything. I will not be coming back to the location and will be reporting you all to the state, county, and health department. This is unacceptable when cases are extremely high and people are dying out there. read more

Mediocre food. Inflated prices. My wife and I had dinner here for the first time on February 25th 2016. The ambiance is pleasant and warm. The bar is cozy with colorful lighting. We ordered an appetizer which was sausage, with some Parmesan, and peppers. It was nothing special, and we were quite disappointed. I had angel hair pasta, for the main course, with meatballs. What surprised me was first of all the pasta was definitely not homemade but came from a box. Then, just the pasta and sauce cost $11 and I had to add another $5 if I wanted meatballs. So I round up paying $16 for a plate of out-of-the-box pasta and meatballs that were extremely dry and bland. My wife ordered the, I can't think of the name, but ear- shaped pasta with meatballs. Hers was also made out of the box, and the meatballs were equally dry. Except hers cost $21....!!! We could have had a much tastier, and much more affordable meal, at Maggiano's. I would discourage anyone from going to this restaurant if you want genuine tasty Italian food. This is not the real thing, and way overpriced. We will not be returning. We stopped in while visiting for a wedding this weekend and we were blown away by how amazing the food was! We had a party of 8, and last minute called to see if we could be accommodated, and Robin was more than gappy to help us. Once we arrive, she greeted us and introduced herself and led us to our table. Cliff was our waiter, and he was outstanding. He brought a taste of both had use wines very to us to try (both were awesome!) His service was outstanding! The food was AMAZING. We ordered a variety - two pizzas (the Bianca and margherita), the calamari, Caesar salad, bologense, and ravioli. All of us shared and couldn't stop raving about it. My favorites were the bianca pizza and calamari! My boyfriend and his family have been to Italy on multiple occasions and always talk about how thin and crispy the pizza is - this place is the only place they have ever said has the same style! As someone who grew up working in my family's Italian restaurant, I have to say that this place rocks. I've eaten here every 2-3 weeks and have never been disappointed. The service is outstanding! Several of the waiters speak Italian which makes it even better for me. Get to use my Italian. (Ashburn is mostly Indian). The food is spectacular. I always order two meatballs on the side no matter what I order because they are close to what my wife makes (my grandmother's recipe). Sangria is well done. The wine list is also well appointed. If there's something that's not on the menu, definitely ask for it. I've been there twice and had a hankering for a dish, asked for it and poof, it was there. The place isn't cheap but it's not crazy either. The parking just simply sucks. But don't let that deter you one bit. Great food, fantastic service! Eat here! You will not be disappointed. read more

Finally. Finally. Finally. This area has been in desperate need of good Italian for quite some time. Pazzo Pomodoro fits that bill very admirably. My family and I had dinner here and were simply blown away by the friendly service, gorgeous setting and amazing food. From a very gracious welcome to excellent service and a friendly farewell, the people at Pazzo Pomodoro made us feel at home. And like any good home, the food was prepared wonderfully. I had the special linguine pescatore. The seafood was expertly cooked to perfect doneness. The sauce was light, yet very flavorful and deep. But, the star of the dish was the pasta itself. It was fresh, delicious and I could have eaten another bowl of nothing but pasta. In fact, all the pasta was amazing. From the kid's spaghetti marinara to the paparadelle bolognese and the sublime fettucine salsa di noci, the pasta in each dish was an absolute delight. We've found our new favorite restaurant in the area. I just finished eating there about an hour ago and I'm already planning our return visit. read more

AMAZING! My husband I came here (with our toddler) on opening night. The place is small but the food is fantastic. This is by FAR the best and most authentic Italian we have found in Ashburn. Our waiter seemed a bit frazzled as he got a whole bunch of tables at once, but given that it was opening night, we gave him the benefit of the doubt. The host was so incredibly nice so the whole evening started off great. For drinks I got a glass of Prosecco and my husband ordered a glass of red wine. For appetizer we ordered the Mozzarella en Carozza (a fancy version of mozzarella sticks). The Mozzarella itself was a BIT bland however they give you a Spicy Marinara sauce to go with it which is amazing and very flavorful. For dinner I ordered the Ravioli Carne (meat filled ravioli) and my husband ordered the Margherita Pizza. Both were delicious -- I loved the tomato cream sauce the ravioli came in and the filling was not only delicious, but it was proportionate to the pasta and it wasn't too meat-y or too cheese-y. The Margherita Pizza was fantastic and had that amazing wood burned oven type of taste. For dessert we ordered the Chocolate Cake and Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was wonderful. The Chocolate Cake came with a raspberry sauce on top, which if that had that been written on the menu I would've asked them to leave it off as it was too sour, and I would've asked for a scoop of vanilla ice cream instead to balance the richness of the cake. Given that it was opening night all the food came out fairly quickly with no mishaps, so kudos to them on that! All in all everything was fantastic and we will most definitely be regulars here! read more

Went here for today for Father's Day for lunch and was greeted by a host wearing sweats which seemed a bit inappropriate for the atmosphere. Once we were seated the experience improved immediately as we were greeted by our server, John Michael. We put in our drink orders and I got a orange crush that may have been the best one I've ever had. Our server recommended wine for both of my parents that they also enjoyed immensely. I ended up asking who made my drink for future reference, so if you come here ask for Cindy. We ordered appetizers next and went with the grilled calamari that was exceptional. We finished off lunch with the three of us each ordering pizzas, getting the capricciosa classica what was awesome. Tonight I went into Pazzo in Ashburn with my beautiful girlfriend and the rest of our party. We were seated and brought water immediately. Our sever, John Michael, came to our table with a positive attitude and provided us with some of the best service I've ever experienced. He helped us choose what to eat, I got the lasagna (his recommendation) which was amazing.
