Had a quick stay at the Westin due to an early flight out of IAD yesterday and decided to dine here for convenience. Adel took amazing care of our party of 4. Of course I ordered my lemon drop because duh its my go to. I added Mango flavor just to see how it would taste. When I say Adel did his thing with the drinks, as well as providing A1 customer service I mean it. That Mango lemon drop was so good I had to order a second one just to confirm I wasnt imaging how good it was lol. The second taste just as good as the first. I could tell he used top shelf liquor because I didnt get a headache. For starters we ordered wings. We tried both the Whiskey BBQ flavor and Buffalo. Both were so fresh and packed with flavor. For entrees, hubby ordered the ribeye and I had the classic reuben sandwich. Of course I tried the some of his steak because duh its my legal right lol the steak was very tender and could be cut so easily. My sandwich was amazing as well. They used a thousand island dressing on it which pair perfectly with the meat. Everything was literally perfect about this place. From the ambiance, to the food, and especially the service from Adel and the other staffer who assisted. I will for sure be coming back here everytime I am in the DC area. read more

Staff were friendly and attentive. Greeted and seated me immediately. I had their signature burger and it was very good. I got it medium well. It was juicy and flavorful with a nice chargrilled taste. Fries were tasty and had a very nice crispiness to them while being soft inside. The dining room was nice. It was a quiet evening and the view across with the lake was nice. Pretty good experience. If I come back, I'll probably be eating here again. read more

When at an airport hotel with no vehicle you either eat what is available or order UberEats so... we gave it a try. The hotel/ restaurant are under renovation and by the looks of it the remodel is highly needed. The ambiance is meh but again it is located at an airport hotel. The service was great. Our waitress checked on us appropriately and was friendly. I had the1/2 serving of zucchini "fettuccine " and it was very tasty. The jalapeño, while at first I was skeptical, was perfect addition to the sauce adding just the right amount of spice. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of mushrooms too. The wine list leaves alot to be desired but served its purpose. All in all- I would recommend giving it a chance if you are staying at the Westin for the night. read more

While staying at the Westin Dulles I came here in the morning for coffee. They feature Starbucks and have drip or a complete "barista" system capable of making pretty much anything with any add-in or milk. Service was really friendly. My Americano was good. No complaints. read more

Bar sucks. Food overpriced so I didn't bother ordering. $12 for wings? $20 for cheese plate..lmao!! This place sucks even for a hotel bar/restaurant. Service is mediocre at best. One night my drink is $9. Two nights later it's $11. Bartender said he was doing me a favor the first night. Why would he do that if he didn't even know me..?? Nevertheless $11 is way too high for a basic Jim beam and ginger anyway so I guess he was doing me a favor. Wtf? As we were very tired and with a small children who needed to have a dinner we went to the restaurant in the hotel without looking in yelp. The food was not tasty, but utterly expensive. I don't write many reviews but I felt compelled after eating here. The manager, Michelle Henriquez was more than accommodating to me. She was professional, sweet, accommodating, and allowed me a wine tasting to begin with of two wines. I should also mention the bartender Oscar was also one of a kind. So sweet and when I wasn't such a fan of the two wines I tasted he was amazing and friendly at recommending another wine. I decided to start with a small Caesar salad (I'm a stickler for Caesar salads) and I was so deliciously satisfied. I then ordered the seafood pasta and omg... it was so much more than I could have ever fathomed. Creamy, perfectly seasoned, the pasta was perfectly cooked and the seafood was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I eat here regularly when traveling through Dulles, which I do often. The food is wildly inconsistent. Last week I had some of the best crab cakes I've ever had. Tonight the crab cakes were tepid and soggy, as though they'd gone from the freezer to the microwave. Com' on folks. I like this place. Make me want to come back! read more

The restaurant/bar has gone downhill from an already barely acceptable 3 star. Then they took away the 20% discount and now its just a joke. Their Korean wings were a decent app; but on a recent visit I was told they were out of the sauce. Menu is somewhat limited, but on a recent night; it seemed they didn't even put in the effort. Part of the issue may be that they often host events in the evening and the kitchen is swamped or otherwise inattentive to the dining room. Dropping $50 here for a mediocre dinner was the last straw and I would rather grab an Uber to somewhere else and have a decent meal. Even ordering a delivery pizza would have been a better option. Service is on/off; depending on how much time the staff wants to spend checking their phones, texting or whatever. I had one glass of wine and the rest of the time, the glass just sat empty. read more

Checked in late at the Westin but the bar and restaurant (Padella) was still open. I ordered the Salmon Entree. Great combination of Salmon, lentils and spinach...flavours were fantastic. The Salmon was a little plain but I'm sure meant to be eaten with the other delicious ingredients on the plate. I liked it here. As far as hotel restaurants go, this one ain't too bad. I had a delicious spinach salad with goat cheese and fried oysters, while drinking an ice cold Peroni. Hard to complain about that. I've tried a few things now on their menu - I use this Westin on my frequent trips to Herndon - and most everything has been of high quality. Service is always friendly, but as with most hotel restaurants, it's a bit pricey. read more

We had the fried oyster appetizer, I had the grilled king salmon and my wife had the daily off-menu seafood pasta with saffron alfredo sauce. Everything is delicious, extremely nice and attentive waiting staff. Fresh and juicy, can't really asked for more. The only "could've done better" is their fried oyster. The oil temperature is a little low so while it's crispy enough I can definitely feel the oiliness. My wife's seafood pasta is very nicely done. The prawns were of size 5-10, with juice bursting clam and mussels. Not a big fan of the calamari they put in. My salmon was very generous portion. It was thick center cut and juicy. I can taste the freshness and the special king salmon flavor that cannot be found in regular salmon. Very yummy. As with any hotel restaurant, do expect to pay a little more, but in general I'd say it's quite reasonable especially considering what we got and attentiveness of the waitstaff. Even the "free bread" was good. It was nice and toasty, with fancy whipped butter and FRESH garlic butter -- I couldn't stop even when I don't really like garlic. The total damage was $60 before tips. It's definitely on our list of restaurants we like. read more

This restaurant is about average as far as hotel restaurants go. I was expecting more from something located in the Westin. I ate here two nights in a row and both nights were just average. I had the filet one night and it was over cooked and VERY salty. The next night I had what everyone recommended both nights (also the most expensive thing), the lobster pasta. This I did not think was good at all. They had bitter micro greens in it and the lobster was chewy and overcooked. read more

Disappointed ... Great hotel, bar completely out of drafts. The only thing they had in bottles was pale yellow domestics, Guinness, and Sam Adams, none of which I drink. We didn't eat, but the food served around us looked great. Our room was great, the price was right and the location was convenient. Literally my only request is to round out your beer selection at the bar ... maybe add a few IPAs. Lost Rhino is craft brewery nearby, which is a great local brewery. Dale's Pale would have been great or even having some Sierra Nevada would have helped diversify the selection. Hope our next stay finds better stocked brews! read more

Would never have tried this restaurant if it had not been for the $50 coupon. The decor is not worth mentioning. It was like dining in a hotel lobby with a carpet straight out of The Lorax. The service was friendly and efficient. Our appetizers were good (cauliflower bisque and arugula with gorgonzola figs). The sword fish and pasta entree was good but the quail on ravioli was dry, the stuffing insipid and the home made raviolis very mediocre. Dessert was interesting and quite OK (apple and goat cheese tartlet). Nevertheless, I thought this restaurant was way overpriced for what it has to offer. Yes it is in a hotel (Westin Dulles Airport) which is a place I stay at frequently, but it is a solid restaurant. The service is very friendly, although the waiters may not always be clear with the menu. But I'll look past this as the food is fantastic. I've only ordered the pastas, but the three I've had have been fantastic, al dente and just the right portions so you don't feel too stuffed. I highly recommend linguine and clams. read more

Absolutely no! I won't stay at this Westin again because of this experience. I cannot comment on the food because I didn't make it that far. I can accept (but don't understand) charging a bit more for drinks because you're in a hotel catering to business travelers. But $18 for a drink??? And it was a bad pour. I asked for a splash of soda and got a weak drink with a huge dose of soda. I had finished the drink and sat with an empty glass without anyone asking if I wanted another. I gave up. During my wait, the guy next to me was served his dinner - the rockfish over steamed spinach for $28(?). He had no more than 4oz of fish, which was over cooked and dry. Nobody came by to ask how he was doing or how the meal was. They cleared his plate and said here is your check. He looked at me and said "so much for desert or another class of wine". read more

We had a coupon for dinner which took $75 off a $150 order. Since there were six of us, we knew that wouldn't be a problem. We found the ambiance to be lovely, modern and relaxed. The restaurant was actually empty, which may have been usual for a Sunday night, and we were one of only three groups there during our three hours meal. We all found the menu to be modern Italian. I had the wild boar ragu, with broad noodles and a hint of citrus that really accented the meal. With an excellent wine list and a fantastic selection of homemade desserts, this place deserves more traffic. read more

This is the worst restaurant option in Herndon. Some of the food is okay, but the manager Terek makes the whole experience a nightmare. He is prejudice, particularly against successful women, and he is a very rude individual. I live locally and a lot of the staff are friends however, when Terek has the nerve to tell me to never come back after spending one of very many expensive ($200+) evenings, I will never return. He is the worst manager I have ever met and my husband and I go out often. His colleagues must be miserable. On top of that, the food is over priced and nothing is consistent. Would recommend the Westin in Reston. Classy and food and staff amazing. I would also not recommend the hotel. Nothing to do but sit in this restaurant. Bartenders are nice and some of the staff, but this ignorant, overbearing jerk of a manager just makes the whole place reek. read more

We've been stating at the Westin for the long holiday weekend, and ate here late one Saturday evening. The restaurant was nearly empty, had friendly hotel staff and a good ambiance. The menu looked promising. I ordered the asparagus bisque, which was delicious and a bottle of wine with my husband. The bread basket with the olive oil and garlic and salted butter was also a tasty appetizer. For entrees, ny husband ordered the ravioli with stewed rabbit. I find eating rabbit disgusting, so although i love ravioli, i didn't try his dish. He claimed it was good. I ordered the papparadelle pasta with braised veal cheek. They were out of the veal, so they replaced the meat with filet mignon. Very unappetizing. The sauce was bland, the noodles were soggy, and the filet was not tender or tasted of that great of quality. The waiter staff offered free desert, which we took a raincheck on. read more

Very few options near the Weston Dulles but the convenience of this restaurant was too tempting not to try and I was pleasantly surprised. Although prices may be a little steeper than most expense accounts the food was fresh and well presented. Service was efficient and courteous. I visited Padella on New Years Eve. The special menu for that night was great and all the food was well prepared and delicious. The service, however, was less attentive than it could have been, particularly considering the price of the meal. The Westin, in which this restaurant is located, is surrounded by office parks and other hotels, but the inside of the restaurant has a more urbane feel than one might expect from looking at the outside. read more

I usually don't write a lot about a bad restaurant experience - this one was really bad. I will never return to this restaurant which is in the Westen Hotel just off of Route 28 - and if I hear of anyone else planning to go there, I will tell them to not waste their time and money. This place is terrible. Needs new management, for sure a new server, and a better chef. The server we had seemed disinterested, was not polite, was very abrupt. He gave the impression that he was annoyed that we were even there. When I called his attention to his manner with me and said I was not feeling at all comfortable to be in the restaurant, his response was, well, that's not my problem - I am who I am. Yikes! Should have left Padella then and there. The restaurant is way overpriced for the quality of the food served. It is not a $$ restaurant, rather a $$$ or $$$ restaurant. And, what is on the menu is not what you see on the menu at their website - really different each of them. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu - the $30 Filet Mignon - Medium rare. It came out to me closer to medium well - and the restaurant was not busy at all at 6:30 pm on April 9, 2016. Ny friends each ordered a salad, and sandwich combination. The salads were very small for $18.00 a piece! I had brought 2 other friends with me - I had told them because I had a $50 Restaurant.com gift card that one of the requirements was we had to have at least a $100 dining bill. Between the 3 of us, I didn't, we didn't, see this as a problem and proceeded to spend well over $100. Why is this important? Well, earlier on April 9, I had to sign on to Restaurant.com and get a gift certificate for the restaurant. I made a mistake and did not see that $25 was selected as the amount for the gift certificate - and not $50. I realized my mistake, of course, when I got a message saying I still had a $25 credit. I was dismayed as I had told my friends we would have $50 off of our $100 meal! So I went back and selected another $25 gift certificate for Padella. I now had two certificate - each $25 - with the same number on each of them. I called Padella and spoke with Michelle who said, yes, she would honor the certificates but that she would not be at the restaurant Saturday night April 9. A manager Tariq would be on duty and she aid she would leave a note for him. She also said she wanted to talk to the restaurant accountant to see if her decision was ok and that she would call me back with an answer. Michelle did call me back and said, both $25 certificates would honored. After dinner when I presented the gift certificates to Tariq, he said he could only honor one of them. I told him the whole story about talking with Michelle, and that didn't phase him one bit. There was not an inkling of customer service in this man's attitude - he not one suggested any remedy for our high bill we had rung up thinking we could use the $50 gift certificates to reduce the bill. He simply said he wouldn't accept both of the $25 gift certificates - only one. I loudly, yes, loudly, protested as I did want other patrons to hear how non-customer-service-like Tariq was in his manner. We ended up paying the entire bill and left. On Monday, April 11 (they do not have phone service on weekends), I called Restaurant.com. I explained the situation to them. They gave me a $25 gift certificate to use at any other restaurant I wanted. I then told them about the $9.72 Service fee which was added to my $40.00 bill. Restaurant.. com said that the restaurant is not allowed to do this unless they have an agreement to do so with Restaurant.com. The Restaurant.com rep said someone would call the restaurant and talk to them about this. By the way, I only saw this fee when I was very abruptly handed my dining bill. So in addition to the dining experience being very much less than even what I would call fair, I was totally embarrassed with my friends as they both ended up spending more than they had expected to for this meal. I did as well. This is the worst dining experience I've ever had - especially when the management did not want to exercise customer service relations to it's customers. read more

After reading over the menu online, I was looking forward to visiting Padella during my stay at the Westin. I sat down at the bar, and despite there being a manager (Darrick?) and multiple bartenders/bar backs, it was nearly fifteen minutes before I was able to get anyone's attention to place an order for food. Another fifteen minutes later, while the bartender is affixed with a couple to my right, he places my salad (they hadn't even ordered yet) in front of them. After about five minutes they push it away as it isn't what they wanted, place a different order, and another five minutes until the bartender notices me looking around for my now very late food, and notes that "it will be right out" and to please "hold on." No admittance to their mistake, no immediate acknowledgement from any of the staff, nothing. At this point, it was nearing 11, and as my food was nowhere to be found I simply left. I would love to have a review of the food or a cocktail, but never received the former and never was given an opportunity to order the latter. read more

Great Breakfast with Considerate Healthy offerings. Great atmosphere, comfortable seating, nice view of a lake and walking paths. The breakfast buffet was a steal at $15 including a beautiful array of fresh fruit, choice of juices, organic scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh quartered fried fingerling potatoes, starbuck coffee (served in big, deep cups - I was instantly in love), Really Nice bread for toasting (and individual Dickenson jams, jelly, and hone), bagels, danish, cereals, yogurt.... the list goes on! The menu options also include organic egg white omelet, gluten free options, as well as corned beef hash. Now that we know it's here, we may visit just to dine. read more
