I love the vibe of this place - super casual when you walk in! It feels like a super clean upscale cafeteria, such a laid-back atmosphere. We ordered the kids bowtie pasta with meatballs and the Chicken Alfredo pasta. The Chicken Alfredo was great, not too salty, and it's the first time an Alfredo sauce sat well in my stomach without feeling like a gut bomb compared to other places. The catering department was really helpful in answering questions and helping make the right selections for my event. Pricing is very reasonable, they offer delivery and sterno setup for a small fee. Driver was on time and did a great job setting up. Food was fresh, delicious, and a hit with my guests. Cafesano couldn't have made it any easier. Fresh and delicious! This is a great place for people with dietary restrictions (vegetarian, keto, etc.). I usually get the chicken kabob with salad and grilled vegetables. The smokey char on the vegetables are my favorite. I had a bite of shawarma and it was just OK, though people here seem to love it. I have had Cafesano multiple times and have always enjoyed the food until today. I walked in ordered my food and finally got it 30 minutes later. I ordered a wrap with fries and hummus. I should have checked before I left but I didn't. I got home only to discover the fries were lukewarm, how is this possible when I waited 30 minutes and people that ordered right before me paid for their food, ate and got to go boxes for their pizza. Updating my comments as a response to Gino .... the manager was talked to and she called someone on the phone to get info... and spoke with them a second time when I said knowing just California not enough! Original Been a while since we have been here.... hubby was wanting a Greek salad and this is normally a great choice but again I'm disappointed and I haven't even ordered.... Reason is the current issue with romain lettuce that is still ongoing... since I saw they had in their case figured yeah! However per CDC recommendations at the time of this post I checked specifically for where the romaine is grown. They called someone to check and the answer is California... unfortunately they were unable to provide any additional info. Without having region specific info I'm not willing to take the chance on ordering.... What I know... Romaine lettuce that was harvested outside of Central Coast growing regions of northern and central California is safe to eat! Yes I'm sure I could have gotten a substitution on lettuce but alas not what we want ... im disappointed that they are serving things that potentially could be of danger to their customer. I've been here multiple times over the years and I don't think it's as good as it used to be about six to eight years ago. But it's convenient to my home and, depending on the time day, you can usually get a table in the quiet section of the restaurant. It's difficult to get a seat on the water in the summertime, as it gets very busy. I usually get a kebab with a small side salad and vermicelli. I've noticed it's not as good as it used to be.
