Between the music, the mountain views, and watching the sun set over the water, it was such a relaxing and memorable experience. The staff was friendly, organized, and made everyone feel welcome from the moment we boarded. If you're visiting McCall, I highly recommend adding a cruise to your itinerary. Whether it's your first visit or you're returning after years away like I was, seeing the lake from the water gives you a whole new appreciation for how beautiful the area is.

At first, I didn't want to spend that much money for a boat ride...but, I now think it is worth every penny and more! I had such a great time. Dusty was our guide (what do you call them? Are they Captains?) He was not only a great guide, he just seems like a great person. He was nice, polite, and did one hell of a job on the river! I have great memories with my bestie, and some really great pictures also. We didn't see any exciting animals, but that's ok. Still a great trip! I will go to Yellowstone for wild bears! :)

Their operation was smooth, they were ready to start early, they had great attention to details and our experience. The price was more than reasonable for this fun time. It is early in the season and the water is high. We experienced three 4s and several 3s. This was our first white water rafting trip and I wasn't sure what to expect. Stephen took care of us, knew the history of the area, and talked a lot. If I visit again, I'd use SRC again.

The road gets pretty windy once you hit Copperfield, but the views of Hells Canyon and Snake River are worth it! There are quite a few pull-outs to stop and take pics. We also passed numerous campground and picnic options. We enjoyed driving over the dam and taking pictures from both sides. Such beautiful views! If you follow the road to the end, passed the dam about 0.5 mile, you come across the visitors center. It was closed when we arrived, but we did enjoy watching the rafters and kayakers from the back deck. Would highly recommend a visit!

Hells Canyon Dam sits at the end of the road. Literally. It's the last of a series of dams that pen…read moreup the Snake River as it rolls along a steep, deep crevasse that separates Oregon and Idaho. To access the dam, you pick up Hells Canyon Road at Copperfield (if coming from the Oregon side) and snake your way up along the Hells Canyon Reservoir for about half an hour. It's a scenic drive that offers plenty of places to pull off and swim, and quite a few trailheads for hikes up into the Idaho side of the canyon. The route takes you along the base of some very steep cliffs and overhangs, and you can tell by the dents in the blacktop that there are often rockfalls along here. My wife was white-knuckling it during most of the ride out. The dam itself is nothing too spectacular, but it does sit in a very scenic spot on the river. Once you cross the dam, the road ends in a boat launch, and this is where the adventure begins. Here you can put in for kayaking, rafting and drift-boat floats down the canyon. Fishing abounds. The dam itself has a little visitor's center with historical photographs and a couple of Idaho Power employees who can answer questions. We were able to get some good info on road quality for our forthcoming drive up the forest service roads into the Wallowas. Super helpful! If you're not floating or fishing or otherwise using the recreation side of the river, there's not a whole lot to do here other than learn about the dam and take in some pretty scenic views from the canyon floor. It's almost more about the views on the drive in. And you'll be seeing them again on the drive out, as there's nowhere to go from here but back the way you came.

Our group had a wide range of experience, ranging from never been camping to frequent outdoorsmen. The seamless way the guides made everyone feel safe, entertained and active during the trip was amazing. Larkin, Issac and Chuck are a dream team for sure. I cannot thank them enough. Arriving to camp each day with tents set up and shaded canopy waiting was great. It allowed us to not worry around set up and enjoy the river, and get some fishing in. The food was 5 star that we were over the moon about. We left wanting recipes but were so amazed on the freshness and preparedness MRO provided each day. No hot dogs on sticks here for sure. There were plenty of drinks for everyone. Captain Eric and Cassidy were great. They played music during the ride at our request and were very helpful getting in and out of the boat. Captain Eric had years of experience driving that boat so we felt very safe. We saw deer, big horn sheep, eagles and a sturgeon. A very professional company and nice big boats with a roof to shade us.

Our group of 16 adventurous women experienced the thrill of Class III and IV rapids while surrounded by some of the most breathtaking scenery I've ever seen. They took amazing care of us every step of the way--preparing five-star breakfasts, lunches, and dinners complete with appetizers and delicious desserts, setting up our tents, sharing fascinating history about the river, and, most importantly, keeping us safe on the water. Their professionalism, kindness, and hard work made the trip even more memorable. Each day brought incredible wildlife sightings, including bald eagles soaring overhead, ospreys, an otter, great blue herons, merganssers, and bighorn sheep. Evenings were spent relaxing around camp with great food, plenty of adult beverages, wonderful conversation, and sleeping under a sky full of stars. The rapids were exhilarating, the scenery was spectacular, the company was unforgettable, and the memories will last a lifetime. My expectations for the weekend were blown out of the water (literally) in the first ten minutes on the jet boat ride. I don't think we stopped smiling for 3 days. I can't imagine a more beautiful setting for a wedding if rivers and mountains hold a piece of your heart. The staff was incredibly fun and accommodating. Dax is the cutest 6 year old host you'll ever meet and I felt almost no stress before the wedding because I knew Joni had everything under control. If you want a wild jet boat ride, jump on Bucks boat ;) Mackay Bar is truly a hidden gem in Idaho. All of my friends and family are texting me that we forever ruined their expectation of a wedding. Sunset horseback rides, fishing, hiking and phenomenal food. I am forever grateful for our wedding weekend and Mackay Bar and we are plotting to get back there as soon as possible.
