Pavyllon seems to be a seafood-focused restaurant nestled in the oldest building of the Four Seasons, dating back to the 1970s. With its recent opening in 2022, the restaurant's ambiance and service prove to be excellent, contributing to a luxurious dining experience. Opting for the four-course meal, I had high expectations considering the reputation of the Michelin-starred Trinity location at the Four Seasons. Unfortunately, the taste and quality fell short compared to its sister establishment.
The first course of cocktail shrimp was visually charming, but it felt like it was missing a little something. The second course, a soufflé, showcased creativity and innovation, yet the flavor profile was a bit off-putting. Moving on to the main course, the trout was well-prepared, but it had a slight fishiness that couldn't be ignored. Lastly, the hazelnut ice cream dessert, while theoretically promising, failed to impress and left me wanting more.
In summary, the restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere, attentive service, and quality seafood, but falls short of reaching the exceptional culinary standards set by other Four Seasons restaurants. For these reasons, I would rate my experience a 3.5 out of 5 stars. read more
