Spaghetti with clams, garlic and white wine sauce. I would have licked my plate if I wasn't with company.

Wow. Better than much of the food I ate in Italy. Every dish was an absolute slam dunk, but I especially recommend the Mackerel, burrata, clam spaghetti, and chocolate torte. Truly a one of a kind culinary experience, with excellent service and ambience to boot. Take advantage of the fact that word hasn't gotten around too much about this new restaurant yet--once it has, I daresay it'll be impossible to make a last-minute reservation :).

A spectacular Italian experiance hidden away in Peckham…read more Oi Spaghetti may look small from the outside- and it is- with only 4 tables available in the same room as the kitchen, but it has big flavor. Chef Francesco will make you feel like you're a guest in his house as he whips up delicious pasta and the best tiramisu I've ever tasted. The intimate setting lends a romantic air to the tiny gem of a restaurant, and it is ideal for coming on a date or with a good friend or two. If you're in the area you can stop by but don't be surprised if it is booked up, as it is only open for dinner, around 3 hours each night. Either go early, or better yet, message the restaurant on facebook for a reservation. We had two spaghettis, an amazing mushroom and a delectable bacon and sage. Both were tasty, but had distinct flavor profiles, great for sharing! We also enjoyed some of the house red wine available, and for our starter had fresh mozzarella on a bed of rocket (arugula) with balsamic vinegar. For dessert we had the tiramisu, which is frankly spectacular and is a must-order item. I'm not even much of a tiramisu lover but this convinced me - with light creamy flavors and a gooey overall texture I was completely won over. The chef and staff are very hospitable and often solicit feedback from guests, trying to optimize the experiance. If you love Italian food and unique experiences, this is the place for you! Enjoy - you'll definitely be seeing me there again!

You know when you go to a really, really fun Christmas party... beer pong, mulled wine, bubbles and…read morefestively infused vodka drinks all seem like a good idea. But then you wake up the following morning with a pounding head and a resolution to never drink again... Well, my friends and I had one of those nights... and woke up a bit worse for wear on Sunday. However Pedler managed to save us. Pedler Brunch joy: - The boys tried the massive breakfast which included everything (bacon, beans, eggs, little gin sausage, mushroom and amazing maple-butter toast.) It was so huge that Marc lets me try some...I have to admit the maple butter toast was the highlight for me, but the sausage was gorgeous too.) - My friend tried the beans on toast (they looked amaaazing) - I tried duck on rosti with perfect poached eggs. Every single bite was looovely. We were sufficiently full of energy to contemplate heading into central London to finish off our Christmas shopping. So, thank you Pedler!! *Apparently they also have amazing gin cocktails as their sister company is little bird gin...but I couldn't even contemplate alcohol on Sunday morning.

After departing the overground at Peckham Rye and being thrust into an absolutely cacophony of sound, sights and people on Rye Road -- I had no idea where this little Pedler gem might be hiding. Is it in this fish market? What about piled up behind these bushels of yuca? Are those pigs hooves? Chicken heads? Ears of some unknown animal? Honestly, if you want to feel transported to another world, pop off the train at Peckham and go for a nosy. Regardless we finally found our way to Pedlar to meet some dear friends. They'd just had a new baby, we had our toddler in tow and we were all excited to catch up and enjoy a meal together. Until I saw Pedlar and its quaint and tiny little space jammed to the gills on a Sunday afternoon. "Oh no" I thought, we are going to have to go eat somewhere else. There is NO way we are getting in here with these babies without crushing someone, them, or being shamed on to the street by hipsters. (I like hipsters by the way, so this is not meant to be offensive, I probably shamed a parent or too in my youth as well!). But I shan't have worried! We DID have a booking (kudos to our friend) and the day was saved. The buggies did need to be broken down and stored downstairs -- which would have been fine had I not timed this entire operation perfectly down to the minute to have mine sleeping through brunch -- only to be awoken upon the breakdown process. Sigh, so Peppa Pig and the Pedlar, that's how he did his brunch (don't judge me! I needed this!). Anyway, tl:dr the guys were really accommodating despite not being terribly child-friendly, and I really appreciated that immensely. We then took up the beautiful booth with plenty of room for everyone, ordered a round of cocktails (the Bloody Mary and Gin &Tonic were gorgeous ways to start), a smattering of Sunday roasts and pickles and were on our merry way to an absolutely excellent meal. Beef, lamb, puddings, cocktails, more wine, it was all on point and truly enjoyable. The place was stuffed each and every moment we were there, but we were never rushed and thus kept ordering and enjoying and finally once Peppa was no longer able to hold my son's attention we departed full and happy and full of Sunday sweetness. I won't be taking my child back here for my own sake of enjoyment, but I'd love to come back with friends or on a date. It's got a great, cozy vibe with well curated menu and drinks, friendly staff and they are clearly doing many thing right over here. £160 split by 2 couples seemed well priced as well -- where in Central London do you ever get the pleasure of a £6 cocktail? Nowhere, so best travel down here and check it out. *service is not included in the bill, so consider adding some if applicable. *MAKE A BOOKING.
