A nice, upscale restaurant with reasonable prices. It has a more formal/mature feeling vibe, so it isn't somewhere I'd come with a group of loud twenty somethings, for example. We came as a group of business colleagues after a meeting, and the ambiance was perfect.
I had the CORNISH SCALLOPS CRUDO (citrus, avocado vinaigrette, pistachios,
passion fruit gelee) to start, and it was lovely. The server warned me that it was raw, but I would have expected nothing else. It's a nice, light, refreshing way to start a meal. For a main, I had the PAN ROASTED SEABASS (red peppers & chorizo puree, potato & chorizo cake, charred tenderstem broccoli, pea shoots & lemon oil) which I initially thought felt like a small portion, but was exactly the perfect serving size as I left feeling quite satisfied.
There was nothing particularly stand-out about this restaurant, but it was a good, solid choice. read more
