Noci is a genuinely exciting thing to have in angel. It boasts a well-crafted, wide-ranging, and tasty menu with a clean interior decor. Really the only thing dragging it down was some more mid-appetizers.
Sadly, I didn't get any pictures of the food on this visit, but the presentation was quite excellent, nothing to blow your socks off, but enough to see the effort. And the interior of the restaurant was very clean and friendly, feeling both very modern and also homely.
The menu for drinks and mains is really well crafted, it's a seasonal menu and I went during the summer so there were many fresh and lighter plates that just felt at home for the london heatwave going on right now. It makes me excited to come back and see the new options come fall, so hopefully, I do a follow-up review! The menu also had a great variety of things from simple and cheaper to more pricy yet extravagant, making it friendly to a wide range of clientele.
I started with a 5-pound cocktail (yes, that's correct, budget eater rejoice this place is quite friendly to you) that was quite good. Then came the appetisers; I had both the torta fritta (which was very good) and the peach burrata (which was flavourless and overpriced). This almost turned me off from the overall meal however then came the mains.
For the mains, I had the brown butter cacio e pepe which was terrific, familiar yet bold, really couldn't ask for more when desiring a more straightforward pasta. My partner had the silk handkerchiefs which she loved. These mains left us feeling happy yet full, almost too full as we didn't end up sampling any of the desserts, but rest assured they are there!
Overall it's a place I'm excited to return to see the following menu and sample some of the great mains this kitchen can come up with! read more
