    Complimentary ice cream

SO GOOD. I understand why there are so many chains in London. We got the Wagyu and flat iron steak, wine, creamed spinach, and chips. The Wagyu was very good of course and same with their classic steak! Glad we got to try both. We made a reservation the day of so glad we got to try this and the complimentary popcorn and ice cream were both sweet surprises! Our server was very kind and informative. This is certainly a popular spot, it is a larger restaurant but it was full!

Great service and food came out fairly quickly popping hot, cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Meal ended with a complimentary ice cream on the way out.

This was an absolutely phenomenal steakhouse for the very fair price, service was great and the staff was extremely personable! They give you free ice cream at the end and a little butcher knife. It was a good London pub experience and a great balance between quirky and classy

Flat iron was a delicious experience. The simplicity of a menu is similar to the North American concept, Medium Rare. A few choices of steak that are done well with some pretty good side choices. I love the small bistro atmosphere allowing minimal seating. There wasn't much of a mocktail list for the non-drinkers. I did appreciate that our waiter was able to figure out something else with my drink as I didn't like the nonalcoholic gin option. We ordered our steaks at medium rare and they came out the appropriate temperature which was nice. Prices were very reasonable so I would go again.

10/10. I love the concept of this place and think it's so perfectly executed. I came with a friend for her birthday and we both got a steak and couple of sides to share. The steak was perfectly cooked to our individual liking and very well seasoned. The meat wasn't overpowered with salt/pepper. The garlic mashed potatoes were incredibly decadent and paired nicely with the steak. We got the truffle mac and cheese as well and absolutely loved it. We each ordered an old fashioned and felt it was a little too sweet but nonetheless well made. To end the dinner, we received a little token for a free ice cream. I believe it was tahini flavored soft serve and was the perfect lost savory dinner sweet snack.

First the food: -steak is great and cooked to whatever you prefer - garlic mash 10/10 - side salad 10/10 - macaroni 10/10 Service: always great, we've been 10+ times and never had bad service Ambiance: chic and cozy (perfect for date night) Overall: go for the food, but enjoy the vibes along the way! Don't forget to use your little token for the free ice cream post meal!!

Visited flat iron on soho based on a friends recommendation. We went for lunch around 2. They sat us in the bassement where there were only two other parties. Menu is simple. Flat iron steak for 15 pounds or a cheeseburger for 18 or a Scottish cut or the two daily specials which included a wagyu steak at 35 pounds. We ordered a flat iron and a cheeseburger with a side of their aubegine dish. All tasted well. We also were surprised by a soft serve ice cream. Only weird things was that this is the first place in London where they added a 12.5% optional tip to the bill as if anyone is going to ask the server to remove it. Not sure it is smart or not cool at all.

Fantastic experience and affordable, delicious food! Flat Iron is a chain located around London, and it is a great option for dinner! Steaks are juicy, cooked just right up to preference, with a variety of sauces to choose from. The moment you step in, there's the smell of freshly popped popcorn and steak. They give you cups of beef dripping popcorn, which is super flavorful and peppery! The sides are delicious as well, and my favorite was the truffle mac and cheese! You end with a complimentary ice cream as well, and it's super decadent and creamy! Overall a great restaurant, and the staff is so kind!

Came here twice while staying in London it was that good. Prices were very reasonable and the steaks were delicious. The service was so fast, we were served within 15 minutes our meaWe did a flat iron steak, which was salty and full of well flavor. Ask for medium rare steak and you will get just that, amazing! Our second time we got the special of the day, Wagyu Picahana for 2. This steak was thick and unfortunately, quite fatty. Had good flavor. Slightly more tender than the flat iron, but we agreed the extra fat ends made it not worth it. We also got the truffle Mac n cheese, the mashed potatoes, and the chips - all superb. The meal ended with free ice cream. Highly recommend this inexpensive dinner experience to everyone!

    Ribeye with a cleaver

Thanks to my yelping in London, we found an inexpensive but popular steak place in SOHO. Our bus guide also said the place was extra popular. An easy ride to this area, got us there before the crowd. Putting our name on the waiting list got us a table in less than 10 minutes. The menu is simple: 2 types of meat cuts and the specials also include a ribeye and Waygu options. We opted to try the ribeye and the Waygu Bavette(a type of sirloin). Both cuts were cooked to our request. Hubby said his Waygu was super tender. Server recommended one side selection per person since they were portions made for one. The truffle mac and cheese was amazing. The chips(fries) were amazing! Service is quick, lots of servers and food runners. At the end of our meal, they give us these tiny meat cleavers where we can exchange them for free homemade ice cream. There are many London locations and I've read all of them have the same service, food quality and ambiance.

Cute cleaver tokens for ice cream

We got into Kensington and were starving after traveling. So I looked online for nearby restaurants and found this spot. Initially I was worried because there wasn't a dinner reservation open til 8:45 but we decided to walk over and test our luck at getting a table- and so glad we did. Ambiance was cute on the outside and inside. Staff was friendly and we were promptly seated (it was around 5:00) and they give you some popcorn that they pop in if I remember correctly beef fat as well as some chilled water. It's a win for me and my daughter as we love popcorn and water. We both ordered medium rare flat iron steaks and truffle Mac n cheese and bone marrow mashed potatoes. Everything we ordered was incredible. Upon check out, they give you these cute cleavers that you can exchange for some yummy Soft serve ice cream- love it. The ice cream was delicious and you can get chocolate shavings added. I can't recommend this spot enough.

Very small almost hole in the wall restaurant. The main entrance is almost hidden , not a huge sign denoting it we almost missed it. Once we were seated the service was good , tables are very close together. The steak was so good so tender. Served not even in plate served on a piece of wood. Cocktails were made at the bar but served in a flask with their logo on it, pretty cool. Everything we had was fantastic from the steak to the potatoes and the Mac n cheese. We would have gotten ice cream but their machine was down. Can get pretty loud at times because of the closeness of all the tables. Definitely need to make a reservation ahead of time.

Miniature clever token. Exchange this for ice cream
    Daniel B.

Pro-tip: come early, so you have a semi-decent-chance to grab a seat before the rest of the flock arrives. If you're traveling solo like me, there's a high probability you can skip the line at the bar. Bottom line: the best culinary deal you shall find in London . Period. A must-stop-by to find a bargain during inflationary times . Show me another place serving a high quality steak for 14 pounds? Yeah, you can't, can you? To put this in perspective, a SMALL cheese pizza from a fast-food chain costs 17.99 pounds. But wait, there's more! Each patron receives a free complimentary popcorn snack before meal, and at the conclusion of the meal, you are awarded a 'cleaver token' to be exchanged for a free ice cream cone. So for 14 pounds, you receive popcorn, steak and a desert ice cream cone! Probably cheaper than if you bought each individually from the grocery store ! So I ordered the flat iron steak (medium rare), and two side sauces -- béarnaise sauce and pepperoni. Steaks came out perfectly medium rare , melt -n-your-mouth and already sliced for consumption. But if you must cut it further, they provide a miniature fancy cleaver. From a well-trained chef, it's a rookie mistake to dip any sorta sauce in a juicy medium rare steak. In some countries , you're insulting the chef. I tried two of the side sauces on a few pieces just to see what they tasted like. Béarnaise -- skip. Too rich . Cannot taste meat. Peppercorn-- okay. Better flavor , but just order the flat straight up. I also ordered the cream spinach side. It was more wholesome and healthier as it contained less concentration of the cream side Im accustomed to. Complimentary ice cream cone was excellent. Tasted like something I found at salt 'n straw: basically ice-cream cone of what a sticky toffee pudding would look like. Strong 5/5 stars. Can't recommend enough.

The Bill Marrow was also good. It was very rich. There were two kinds of Sunday roast a sirloin and a rump. Three of us had the rump roast dinner and three had the sirloin roast dinner. It was hard to tell the difference. All the dinners came with roasted potatoes greens and of course, Yorkshire pudding. It was all delicious. I have to say my favorite part is always the Yorkshire pudding. I also have a green salad, which is basically just lettuce with a light dressing. It was very fresh. We were too full for dessert. The service was excellent. We were seated right away and given water. In the UK, you can order sparkling, still or tap. Sparkling and still come with a charge. Tap is usually free. Our server was attentive without hovering. It's a good idea to make reservations at Hawksmoor especially for the Sunday roast. We got there at three by the time we left around 4:30 some of the roasts were already sold out. Just a note: Sunday roost is usually a late lunch not a dinner. It's good to go between two and four especially if you don't have a reservation.

Thankfully, it lived up to them. One thing that immediately stood out was how intimate the restaurant is. It's probably one of the smallest Gordon Ramsay venues I've visited, which gives it a cozy atmosphere but also makes for a different experience compared to some of his larger restaurants. The service was memorable, although not in the way I expected. When we sat down, I already knew the Beef Wellington was the signature dish and was prepared for the advertised 45-minute wait, but I wasn't quite sure what else to order. Our waiter enthusiastically declared, "I've got this," started saluting us, and proceeded to recommend--and seemingly order--the Beef Wellington, T-bone steak, and steak tartare before fully confirming what we wanted. We had to flag him back down and explain that we probably didn't need an all-meat feast. After some adjustments, we swapped the T-bone and steak tartare for gnocchi, Caesar salad, and green beans. In the end, those changes turned out to be the right call. The Beef Wellington was everything it should be--perfectly cooked, rich, and worth the wait. The green beans with pine nuts were unexpectedly one of the highlights of the meal, packed with flavor and executed beautifully. The gnocchi was also excellent, with a great texture and comforting richness. By the end of the meal, everyone at our table agreed that this was the best meal we had during our time in London. That's saying a lot considering the city's incredible dining scene. My only real complaint is the restroom situation. The bathroom is tucked behind what feels like a hidden doorway, and there are very few signs directing you there. Overall, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill delivered exactly what I was hoping for: outstanding food, memorable service, and a meal that stood out among everything else we ate in London. If you're debating whether the Beef Wellington is worth ordering, the answer is absolutely yes.
