Best creamed spinach I've ever had.
    Brian R.

This restaurant shatters every convention. Four item main menu. Premixed cocktails with spectacular presentation. Six properly portioned sides that sing. Tiny. Packed. Perfect popcorn as a welcome. Exceptional service, and speed from order to table that is 5 star. Last? Prices are exceptionally good! A must try, if you can wait a bit, as there usually is a wait.

A tempting proposition of £14 steak along with inexpensive side dishes, when most steak houses are a fortune. The quality of their signature flat iron steak is solid; reminds me of what you'd get in a steak salad. But the steak portion feels a bit skimpy and the sides a bit small. There were two hungry full grown American men at this meal and we ended up splitting 3 steaks and 3 sides to fill up, so that can increase the price. Flat Iron Steak: A respectable steak. Nicely cooked. Good amount of flavor. Nice texture. Scottish Bavette: Perhaps my favorite steak that I tried, even more than wagyu. It had this slightly fatty, slightly chewy texture. A very meaty steak that was perfect with sauces. Wagyu Sirloin: Not sure it was worth £11 more than the flat iron (for a total of £25). It was slightly bigger, though not huge. And the flavor was decent. But perhaps sirloin is better as a Sunday Roast than a not-that-inexpensive steak. Peppercorn Sauce: Inspired by au poivre probably, but not as creamy nor strong tones of cognac. Béarnaise Sauce: Pretty on the mark. Obviously a fancy steakhouse would do this better, but it was fine here. Crispy Bone Marrow Garlic Mash: Really enjoyed all the crispy bits on top. No idea what magic they're using to deep fry bone marrow, but I'm a fan. The mash itself was smooth and creamy. Truffled Macaroni Cheese: Perhaps my favorite side. Al dente noodles with lots of creamy cheese. Nice crunchy bits on top too. Only problem is that with the big noodles and small dish, this goes kinda quickly. Creamed Spinach: Decent taste, but mushy texture. Looks like they just blended the spinach and the cream, so it's kinda like a warm smoothie. I prefer when creamed spinach has a bit more spinach texture. Ice Cream: A nice freebie on your way out. Creamy ice cream with a nice house made crunchy cone.

This place was very quaint, and smaller than expected but service was top notch and the food was to die for really!!!!

This place has been recommend by a Facebook group in London. Also my a YouTuber. The one close to our hotel was always busy. We did have to make a reservation. We did and finally got to try it out. My mother loved her steaks it was cooked the way she like it and the side was extra. On the other had, well my streak was cook how I liked it but it just felt flavorless. The bone marrow mash potatoes was a nice touch. I enjoy my dry daiquiri & my mother is a beer. The staff were nice, the place is clean, the food was ok.

Food was great and quick exactly how we ordered. Service was excellent, didn't not make reservations but still was added to waitlist. Server Borja made this such a great first dinner in London. Will definitely be stop by before I leave.

Delicious food in a friendly casual dining environment. Generous portions and great place to dine with small groups as it's - just right!

If you're expecting American sized steaks, like 12oz or more, this ain't the place for you. What you do get is a good sized flavorful and high quality steak that hits you at the spot, leaving you with a great smile on your face. The price won't hurt your wallet either. Would love to come back to this restaurant when I get a chance.

Great service and great food. We ordered their special, the 450g Waygu for £50, along with 2 orders of the bone marrow mashed potatoes and an order of the truffle Mac and cheese. Amazing value for the amount of food we got, especially in one of the most expensive cities in the world. The sides were absolutely amazing, especially the truffle Mac and cheese which had an extremely rich flavor to it. The waygu was tremendous as well, cooked perfectly medium rare (the temperature I had asked for). I would like to note that getting a reservation is highly recommended, as we tried to walk in and had a 2 hour wait. Another nice extra is that they give you free popcorn to start with and free ice cream on your way out. Steakhouses tend to try and rinse their customers for every little extra serving, this is absolutely not the case at Flat Iron. During my stay here in London I visited the flat iron location in the city of London (financial district) and the one in soho. Both were extraordinary with super personable staff.

Whoa, so I was blown away! I was originally told 45 min and didn't want to wait. Turns out they can/will give you 10% off at the pub two doors down, which made the wait enjoyable! Now, as for the food... The beef drizzled chips were some of the best chips I've ever had. As for the steak, well I ended up ordering two portions. If tomorrow wasn't Sunday, I'd be heading back for a repeat meal! Highly recommend, excellent service and food. Two thumbs up!

I like a crispy crackle on top of my pork belly. The red cabbage was okay but came in a separate dish and I wasn't too sure what I was meant to do with it. The dish was accompanied by a meat gravy which when I tried it overpowered the delicate flavors of the pork. Being quite hungry I also ordered potato gratin but the potatoes were a little hard and undercooked. There also wasn't very much sauce and in some instances was just potato on potato with no sauce in between. If I came here again I'd probably have the steak since it is called steak & co so that's their specialty. Service was as expected, my water cup was kept filled and received the bill when requested. Overall just okay really. Ambiance was typical for a chain restaurant. Not too loud and nothing to complain about.

Three courses for £35, I started with the chicken liver pâté, rich and silky enough to make you close your eyes and savor it. The slow-roast West Country beef. We were seated right in front of the fire pit, which added a rustic, cozy touch to the whole experience. Sure, it got a little toasty toward the end, but with the freezing cold outside, I wasn't about to complain. It felt like a true British winter dining experience, and I'd do it all over again.

Our food and drinks arrived promptly. We got the 40oz Tomahawk Steak and split it between 3 adults. Ordered the steak medium rare, and it came out a bit closer to rare but that's OK. The peppercorn sauce was delicious. Steak came with 2 potato sides so we had roasted potatoes and fries. I've been traveling in Europe for 2 weeks and these were easily the best fries I've had the entire trip. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and well seasoned. They do not offer real/straight horse radish. Only a creamy horse sauce. We had a delicious Bordeux red with the steak and it was a perfect pair. They do have a kids menu, which had some decent options... Squid and chips, burger, Mac and cheese, steak frites. The grilled Tuna Steak almost overshadowed the Tomahawk. We ordered it pink inside, and they delivered. It was perfectly seasoned and served with a garnish of grilled avocado with a tomato salsa. An incredible piece of fish! The building used to be a porn cinema so some of the artwork reflects that time. I'd describe it as tasteful decor, despite the subject matter. I felt like my Negroni cocktail was watered down. Don't miss Sofie's. So good!
