Steak stones
Jessica L.

For the past 3 years in a row I have made my way here from Texas for my birthday! The best service, steak, and all around restaurant experience you could ask for! The cocktails are to die for and the steak stones is the best steak experience you will have! This location specifically has the perfect outdoor seating when it's a lovely day!

Sourdough bread and butter

Was hoping for a nice steak place and found it only okay. There is outdoor and indoor seating. The service was good. The bread and butter was a surcharge which I didn't realize at first. We also excited to try the charred broccoli with parmesan and olive oil only to be told at about the point we expected to receive the food they didn't have it. The sides were a big factor in our choice of location so that was pretty disappointing. The 8 oz filet was nicely cooked, was definitely above average and well cooked. The truffle mac and cheese was tasty and was a bit big for one person but a bit small for 2 to really share. The parmesan and truffle fries were pretty basic, with a tiny bit of cheese on top and a bunch of oil at the bottom of the dish so they just ended up being mediocre French fries. It's not a high end steakhouse, but it was fine. All the dishes were fine, not amazing. There wasn't any wow factor here.

Food Service & The ambiance fantastic. Great juicy ribeye cut. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks you guys. Great service.

Apple Crumble with vanilla gelato

A solid 4.5 stars. The autumn special of pumpkin ravioli was good. The steak was perfectly cooked and the side of truffle mashed potatoes was flavorful. But the Apple Crumble dessert really brought it home. Great food. Our only complaint was the smoking. It was a beautiful evening so we opted for seats outside not noticing the ash trays on every table. While most customers did not smoke two were seated near us about halfway through our meal. The smell reduced our enjoyment and experience.

The staff is quite pleasant. Our waiter, a young Turkish guy was extremely helpful, professional, and fun. The dining room is large and social distancing can be respected. Make sure to ask for the lunch menu if you are there for lunch. We had to wait quite a long time to get our meals. All our meals the Fettuccine, the starter (cauliflower)and the Fish and chips were extremely greasy. If your digestive system is fragile, you need to avoid ordering these dishes.

Food was okay i would totally go to flat iron for better and cheaper steaks. Staff is friendly and place and ambience are good. Poor exhaust for cooking inside since you are cooking by yourself. A cover charge of £1 is added per person just a reminder. Its illegal to add £1 in the end of the experience if you dont mention it in the beginning or in the menu just for a reminder. Some people can sue this if you dont fix it , so remind your workers to tell the customers about this. The tip system is bizarre??? Minimum of £5????? What if im paying for £10 and 12.5% of it is £1.25 and i would pay half of my food for tip? Change this system please!!

Steak time!

Besides a fondue restaurant, I've never cooked my own food at a restaurant. Here when you order a steak, you cook it at your table. It was fun, albeit a bit embarrassing because we didn't know this was how the food came. When it arrived, the waitress came over and showed me how to season and cook the steak best on their plate. It comes out seared on a sizzling hot pan and you finish cooking and seasoning your own steak. Really neat concept, just small tables. I have to say I did a good job! Steak was seasoned well, by me and was great. The only thing that bothered me was that you didn't get a clean knife and fork nor plate. That means you had to use the same knife and fork that you handle your raw beef with. I ended up taking the plate under my baked potato to use as my additional plate something about that bothered me... London doesn't have America's FDA guidelines. Our server was wonderful and friendly. Although, like most London restaurants, we waited a full 20 minutes before we had service. Once we were served everything went great. My baked or "jacket" potato was tasty and delicious.

Cooking food at the table on a hot stone
Nick M.

This is a blast and a lot of fun. You order your steak and the staff brings out a hot stone with your steak sizzling on it. They bring seasoning butter and dipping sauce. You cut and cook your steak and eat it at the table. So much fun it's worth the price. Excellent cuts of quality steak and tasty sides. Absolutely worth the experience.

Excellent food. The steak on the hot stone is a must. This was an expensive meal but a great way to end our trip to Europe.

Three courses for £35, I started with the chicken liver pâté, rich and silky enough to make you close your eyes and savor it. The slow-roast West Country beef. Medium, of course why would you do it any other way. And the mince pie, boozy. Very boozy. Consider yourself warned. We were seated right in front of the fire pit, which added a rustic, cozy touch to the whole experience. Sure, it got a little toasty toward the end, but with the freezing cold outside, I wasn't about to complain. It felt like a true British winter dining experience, and I'd do it all over again.

4.5 Stars Incredible…read morequality food and top notch service in a chic SOHO atmosphere. This place was really, really good. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. Our food and drinks arrived promptly. We got the 40oz Tomahawk Steak and split it between 3 adults. Ordered the steak medium rare, and it came out a bit closer to rare but that's OK. The peppercorn sauce was delicious. Steak came with 2 potato sides so we had roasted potatoes and fries. I've been traveling in Europe for 2 weeks and these were easily the best fries I've had the entire trip. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and well seasoned. They do not offer real/straight horse radish. Only a creamy horse sauce. We had a delicious Bordeux red with the steak and it was a perfect pair. They do have a kids menu, which had some decent options... Squid and chips, burger, Mac and cheese, steak frites. The grilled Tuna Steak almost overshadowed the Tomahawk. We ordered it pink inside, and they delivered. It was perfectly seasoned and served with a garnish of grilled avocado with a tomato salsa. An incredible piece of fish! The building used to be a porn cinema so some of the artwork reflects that time. I'd describe it as tasteful decor, despite the subject matter. I felt like my Negroni cocktail was watered down. Don't miss Sofie's. So good!

They had room for party of 4 and it was Monday night, so "butcher" pricing, which means you pay what they pay by the weight for your meat. There was a chalk board that listed all the cuts by weight and as they sold, they crossed them off. There were still plenty available in a variety of cuts when we arrived around 8pm. I love that the entire restaurant is underground. We ended up getting an 800kg ribeye and it was the perfect amount of meat for us. We did supplement with lots of sides including the bone marrow, mushrooms on toast, beef dripping chips, and sweet potato. My favorite was the sweet potato, which was ash roasted for 10 hours and you could taste it. They all went will with the steak that came out in about 20 minutes, pre-sliced with a nice presentation. We also got a few of the cheese and pickle, which was a hit with my wife. Our server was great and we enjoyed our time and meal very much!
