6oz filet supposedly cooked medium well with garlic parsley butter, rosemary and thyme salt with mushroom sauce.

Please note the 3 seasonings shown below on the plate are À la carte @ £3.50 each. It would have been more pleasing to the eye to fill in the large white void on the plate with sliced tomatoes, mushrooms, maybe a rock........anything! As shown, 6oz tough filet, 5 À la carte items (seasonings and 2 mashed potato) Caesar salad with grilled chicken and 2 diet cokes cost an astounding $107.00 including service charge and VAT. What a joke and a total scam. We should have stayed with our original plan with the Lebanese restaurant across the street. Total cost: £79.00 / $107.00

Brazilian filet. It doesn't need the sauce, but use it. It's a perfect compliment to the beef.

We wandered into this place after a long 9 hour tour all over lower UK. The tour fed us lunch, but we needed dinner. It's nice, but not like jacket required kind of place. It was busy for a late Thursday night, but we were sat right away. Service was excellent, everyone from the hostess to our waiter were on it, attentive and polite. I merely had to raise my gaze and catch the waiter's eye and he was over in a flash to take our orders. I had the Brazilian filet, (pictured) and it was absolutely mouth watering. My wife had the same, and mom had something else I don't even remember because I was lolling my head from side to side enjoying the steak. Contactless payment and we were off, full and very very happy.

Cheers- celebrating friendship!

Made reservations for 4 and this place did not disappoint. Starters, drinks were served in timely manner- waiter was friendly and chatty. We all ordered steaks and we loved our cutsgrilled to perfection. Not gristly, but tasty and tender. Shared truffle mash potatoes and starters. Everything was done well!

Tough review to write as the waiter and manager were very pleasant and worked to do the right thing. I cannot in good conscience not report my dining experience. Reservations were accepted online and honored in the restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful and quite busy. Ordering was quick and easy with my waiter after one of the items I was looking forward to trying was no longer available on this evening. After Approximately 30 minutes of waiting for our dinner my waiter returned to report that the steak I had ordered was no longer available. Not great but life goes on, he offered to upgrade my steak at no charge, I accepted the offer. The manager came to visit and apologized for the situation, again no big deal. After another 30 plus minutes 3 out of 4 meals arrived to the table leaving my wife without dinner. Another 10 minutes passed and her dish is finally delivered by the manager who apologized again and said he was picking up the entire check. Very classy indeed. Unfortunately the upgraded steak was absolutely dreadful. Cooked unevenly and not a stitch of seasoning to be found. The steak was as poor a quality of Rib eye (tomahawk) as you can find. The fish and chips were not crisp and lacked seasoning. The burger was good as was the chicken schnitzel. Again, extremely impressed with the gesture of a free meal but I would have rather paid for a great meal. 2 stars only for the waiter and the manager who tried to do the right thing.

Excellent service, food, atmosphere ! For London, I was surprised that the wait staff was aware of me and check on me regularly. The steak was cooked to perfection and it was very tasty. Loved the old fashioned bar and the buzzing about of the diners. The place sets the tone! Thank you for my best time in London!

Go for the cocktails, desserts and steak entrées. A couple people in our party enjoyed their steaks; however, the Cacio e pépé was lackluster and both the mac 'n cheese and broccoli did not taste house made. The lemon tarte and gelato selections were very good. Our entrées did not all come out together; however, the staff was apologetic and we appreciated their efforts. Overall, I would recommend going for a cocktail and/or dessert before or after a nice dinner, but based on the low quality of most of our entrées I would not return for dinner.

Service was excellent. Very polite and quick in every way -- taking the order, preparing the food, and closing the bill. Food was excellent. Great portion on the burger, with fresh ingredients. The chips were the best I've had so far in London.

EVERYTHING! Our server was the best, he helped with recommendations but wasn't pushy, more than that so very friendly (young brazialian gent) the atmosphere was very nice-now we went Sunday 1pm-2pm so not a large crowd & I have to assume they get them, they so take reservations. They have delicious chicken(lady next to me said tastes like the chicken was grown out back) We both had steak and truffle mash-again mine was the chocolate fed and again my server was helpful on cooking time, i didn't want it bloody but did want flavor we deemed the cooking time "long medium" it was perfect!!! The Truffle mash was delightful, chunky mashed potatoes with a very creamy flavor, i ordered the mushroom gravy and it was all so delish even though Im full my mouth waters just thinking of it!

My wife and I dine out often, this includes at Michelin star establishments, internationally and locally in the US. Our visit to Steak and Company Gloucester Rd, is now at the top of our list for dining experiences. This is largely due to our server Aaron, he truly was one of the best we have ever had wait on us. Aaron is very knowledgeable of the product, had very friendly conversations with us, and made the perfect recommendations based on our taste and cut preferences. Upon ordering a expressso martini for desert, Aaron said he would make it personally as he "makes of the best", he was not wrong in that either. I must add, the other waitstaff and runners were amazing as well, as was the manager who came over to talk to us. Shout out to the chef and his staff for steaks that were coooked to perfection, and we can't forget to mention the hostess who was the friendliest ever. We cannot wait to go back to this restaurant, it is a gem in London dining scene. The entire restaurant team that was working during our visit, are great ambassadors of the company.

Anu and Pak dining next to us. We Probably became lifelong friends. So nice and fun!

Wow what a surprise! I've had great steak all over the world and this place is right up there. For several reasons. First the quality of the meat was excellent. I got a full 8 oz. Filet not like 5 oz in some places. It was reasonably priced and came with flavored butter and salt and a smoking hot personal grill for me to cook it to my preference. HEAVEN! It's a nice casual date place BUT they need to do better with the ventilation your clothes will definitely smell a little from all the meat cooking around you. That was the only small negative I had. I would return to this place again and again. Rated at 4.5 taking off .5 for smoke in dining room.

We came here for an evening drink after a long day and my friends were really impressed with the set up. The place is a little small than what I expected bit that's not problem because we had a lot of fun and we enjoyed our nice table by the window with a street facing view. Music was also the right tune for this venue. My friends had a glass of wine each and I had the house swedish cocktail which was concoted perfectly. The hot dogs and the cheese platters were a thing to remember too. All in all it's a superb venue and we'll make our new hangout place. The highlight of the evening was the bar manager Ebba, she was really attentive and looked after us in a cool way. Tusen tack .

Kosmopol is similar to Eclipse in that it has a small intimate lounge upstairs and a larger louder dance club downstairs. It specialises in carefully made intricate drinks, including a fresh watermelon martini. The lounge is a good place to take a first date, the club is good for a group of friends on a South Ken dance crawl. As for the 1761s, I'm a big fan of French 75s but I have to admit that the pineapple twist won me over. I'll be back for more.

The Bletchley - Welcome drinks and our first puzzle: opening the box

It was totally a random…read morepull - one night, my husband was browsing one of those "things you MUST do when visiting London" articles, and I briefly saw "The Bletchley" as he scrolled down the page. I made him click on the link, saying "Bletchley like the Circle? Like the code breakers?" And sure enough, it was exactly like that. It's an escape room mixed with a puzzle room mixed with a lot of alcohol. A LOT of alcohol. They bill it as a mix between Alan Turing and Sherlock Holmes, both names that I adore. We were intrigued, and after a bit of research made our reservations online. (Reservations definitely required, and you have to pay beforehand, just heads up.) We were giddy as we walked down the stairs into the basement to check in for our experience. They immerse you in their world the second you step foot inside the threshold, calling you "agent", giving you instructions and helping you with your Army-style jacket. Your "contact" walks you through your "Enigma Machine" and your "radio" and then sets you off on your first puzzle: opening the box to start the game. I'm not going to spoil any of the puzzles, but I will tell you that you get a personalized drink for each puzzle you solve. AND, you get a welcome cocktail. So, if you're solving two puzzles, you get 3 drinks in total. The drinks are created for you based on the answers you provide to the puzzles you solve. There's a bit of a sniff test and a taste test for that first round, but after that, the talented bartenders use the answers you provide to craft drinks you're sure to love. We had planned on doing only 2 puzzles because realistically, I'm a lightweight when it comes to booze in general, and fairly useless when it comes to liquor. But, we were having so much fun, and the drinks were SO incredibly tasty (easy to drink, let me tell you!) that when our "contact" came back to ask if we wanted one more puzzle, we both immediately said, "Of course we want another puzzle, crazy woman!" Or something along those lines. Friends, the puzzles are super easy. After solving our first one, the second "contact" asked if we wanted the easy or difficult version for the next round. We were feeling cocky (and tipsy), so we asked for the difficult one. It's not that difficult! But, as we were sitting there, we noticed that the group next to us - they'd come in about 15 minutes after us - was struggling to answer their puzzle. We thought, "Oh no, the contact gave us the easy puzzle for sure!" So when the contact came back to ask if we wanted the final puzzle, and we answered yes, we thought we'd be struggling like the group of four next to us. I mean, we *had* been drinking hard alcohol for an hour, and we were feeling pretty warm and fuzzy, so of course, our brains would be slow and not so willing to make logical connections, right? WRONG! We solved that puzzle in less than 5 minutes and sat back wondering how drunk the group next to us was that they bumbled around for almost 20 minutes trying to find the answer. Anyway, the drinks are to die for. The welcome drink was gin-based, and I almost told the guy to take it back (gin and me? SO not on friendly terms). But, my husband asked me to give it a try, and two seconds later, the cup was empty. I enjoyed the three drinks that were crafted specifically for me, but that first drink - with its fresh fruit and its tease of a burnt sugar flavor - left me wanting more. If you're about experiences, good drinks and great times, this is definitely a spot you're going to want to visit. Plan on spending at least 3 hours here (if you want to soak up all the...uh...puzzles...that is), and definitely plan on having a ride back home.

The WW2 spycraft theming was top notch, and you even get to play dress up in an army jacket. Overall we had a great time, and apparently there are a few different puzzles that you can get, so one could totally do the Bletchley again and have a completely different experience. While I did truly enjoy our time in the bar, we had a few hiccups. Checking in to the space was a little odd; you actually let the host at the restaurant upstairs know, and they have you awkwardly wait around at the restaurant bar until someone from the Bletchley comes and gets you. Y'all, we waited a while. I'm not sure what the hold up was, but we definitely didn't start on time. Also our final puzzle was kind of a dud, and I say this as someone who loves escape rooms. Without spoiling anything, we weren't informed that we might need to leave our table and explore the bar for clues, so it never occurred to us to do that. (The puzzle also required us to reference a part of the bar that we didn't know existed.) Most of us loved our drinks, but one of my friends felt that two of his custom cocktails were way too similar in that they were both aggressively sweet, and was disappointed that the bartenders didn't change things up. We also had some minor service issues (one of the servers was helping us but got distracted by another table, we had to remind them three times that we were there for a birthday, etc.). But despite a few small things, the Bletchley is still a very unique and interesting experience that I definitely recommend doing. In fact, now that I know more of what to expect I would definitely visit it again should I have the opportunity.
