Visited from Southern California and had planned to enjoy Paula's for breakfast with the family. Couldn't wait to try them. My mom said good morning...no answer. Then asked if bagels were made there, staff said 'no'. Lady with dark hair was very nasty, angry, and miserable. My mom mentioned we were from out of town but she kept looking away. Ugly experience from an employee wasn't expected by any of us. Then we asked how was her morning, but the girl never even answer. The blond girl with the red cap from back in the kitchen responded to our greetings...she did notice how rude the other staff member was acting. Bought four donuts, will do coffee and bagels at Hortons! We are staying two weeks, but won't try Paula's again. read more

I went to this location two days in a row, and had an unpleasant encounter with the same employee. She was short and angry looking and I felt uncomfortable ordering more than one thing. She was very unenthusiastic and the second day was the worst. She was angry that we didn't hear her say the total and repeated it saying " I SAID $5.85!" I have enjoyed your Clarence location since it opened and stopped in at least once a week. Unfortunately, not anymore. My last three visits were very disappointing. The first two I chalked up to everyone can have a "bad day". Today [4/19/17 @ 7:50 am] I purchased a Red Velvet and a large glazed cinnamon swirl to go. The cinnamon swirl was like the last two --- very doughy/uncooked and virtually no cinnamon even though I asked for one with lots of cinnamon. The red velvet was like a piece of stale bread that had absolutely no taste. Looks like Tim Horton's just got a new customer. read more

We visit Paula's Donuts maybe 3 or 4 times a year, it's a little bit of a drive for us! The last 2 times we have visited this location I've had the same donut a peanut with cream in the middle. Both times the donut is hard when I've eaten it. Because we don't visit often I was trying to select a different donut but the girl who was waiting on us seemed to get a little impatient with us because we were taking so long to order. I don't know the kinds of donuts they have so I was trying to look over the show case but with employees standing in the way and customers at the counter I couldn't see what kinds were available. I also order a donut with chocolate in the middle and when I got home it wasn't the one she gave me. So for those reasons we won't be coming back! read more

Live in Clarence. Stopped for donuts because of the positive feedback and rave from everybody. Had coffee and two donut special. I and my wife both had same special with bill little over 7.00 with tax. Male employee was excellent. I would give him a 12 out of 10. Place immaculate. People very friendly. Employees constantly working. Very very positive work experience. I wish I had employees like that. Had creme filled donut with chocolate frosting. Not fresh, seemed like fried two days before. Wife had coconut filled with white creme. Same stale product. Had two donuts to go. Chocolate peanut - stale and non edible. Threw out. Had jelly filled donut with white frosting. Outstanding, phenomenal, a 12 on a ten point scale.Basically picking donuts is like Russian roulette and missing 75 percent of time. Coffee was excellent.
