Early Birthday Dinner!!!!! If you are looking for an upscale place to have dinner for a special occasion or to just blow 1/2 your grocery budget you have to go to Paul Manno's. We had the Mussels in a spicy tomato sauce and Cannelloni for an appetizer!!! Both Amazing!!! You can get Cannelloni as a Main dish as well!! The Sea Bass in a white Wine sauce was on special and the Filet with Gorgonzola and mushrooms were both excellent!!! They come with a side ! The Tiramisu was a bit different as it had fresh fruit on top which I didn't hate!!! The Drinks!! Superb!!! Dirty Martini and a Lemon Drop Martini!!! Service is always Top Knotch!!!! Tip: it is a very dark ambience so use your phone light!!!

Long well established restaurant only open from 5-9 pm serving up delicious house favorites and tasty creations. Service is impeccable and the ambiance is remarkable. Drinks are well poured, salads are fresh and crisp., bread was served warm and fresh with a dipping sauce. Chicken Parmesan was a lightly breaded breast fried perfectly crisp covered with a tomato sauce and cheese enough for 2 . Seafood pasta was good , had plenty of seafood Tiramisu was Perry and loved the fresh fruit on top.

Paul Manno's Café is in a class all its own. The Yelp 5 Star system does not adequately rate this stellar establishment. Paul Manno's deserves 10+++ stars. All accolades you have heard about or read are well deserved. This makes for an amazing night out. I have been dining at Paul Manno's my entire life and have never had a bad meal. The food is classic Italian made with the most important ingredient of all...love. You can taste the passion for food in every bite. Some of my favorite dishes here are Mezzi Rigatoni Alla Nonna, Mamma's Lasagna, Rigatoni Ubriaco, Pollo Limone, Rack of Lamb, Filet Mignon Gorgonzola, and Gamberone Fra Diavola. Special Note, if you order something like Veal, you can have any pasta on the side with an upcharge. I highly recommend the Rigatoni Ubriaco or Mezzi Rigatoni All Nonna as your side. The staff and owner at Paul Manno's make every meal extra special. Pure dedication to the craft and service to others is felt at Paul Manno's. I have been here for everything from special romantic nights to huge family meals and look forward to my next visit. I am planning my next reservation now.

My boyfriend and I came in last night for dinner and everything was amazing! Our waiter Aaron set the perfect vibe right off the bat, very friendly & knowledgeable, and consistently present without being overbearing. We started with the calamari fritti & the red pepper & mozzarella dish, both were fantastic! For our main courses, I opted for the Chilean seabass special, which had a delicious lemon caper sauce, and a side of green beans. My boyfriend had the rack of lamb, their specialty, with a side of rigatoni. For dessert, our server treated us to a hefty scoop of amaretto ice cream, and then we brought home tiramisu for later! It was our first time here, and we were both blown away by the quality of service and food. We'll definitely be back!

Quite the Italian experience and atmosphere. Darker inside and smaller more intimate place. The music was a bit too loud to have any private conversations. Otherwise you are a bit louder to talk to other tables. Table balsamic vinaigrette was delicious, could have eaten this all day. Appetizers were roasted peppers and mozzarella and platter of meat/cheeses. The prosciutto was delicious! Chicken Parmigiana was pretty classic. Tortellini superb with no complaints! Cannoli was flaky. Tiramisu was definitely split worthy. In season the berries would have been better but out of season they were very tart. Great place to eat with real authentic and home made ingredients. However, I would turn down the music just a bit for a more romantic date. Also, try the wine - the cab was the cherry on top.

Fantastic dinner at Paul Manno's, possibly one of the best Italian restaurants in St. Louis. I felt like i had been transported straight to Italy for dinner. Ambiance 10/10. Definitely make a reservation, they fill up fast! We got the lasagna and rack of lamb. Lasagna was fantastic, as expected. I was slightly hesitant in ordering the lamb, just because I had never had it. It did not disappoint! Melted in my mouth and the hints of lemon were delicious. For dessert, tiramisu of course. Very good and light tiramisu , not too chocolately or overpowering. Perfect tiramisu texture. In conclusion, if you've never been here and are contemplating, GO!

We had dinner at Paul Manno's Cafe with our friends a few days ago. The entry door was kinda hidden from the outside. It's a little too dark to read the menu but it didn't bother me much. The restaurant has a cozy and charming atmosphere. We started with calamari fritti for appetizer. For entrees, we ordered their famous Rack of lamb (med rare) with Caesar salad and linguini mare monti. My little one had his own off menu item.Rack of lamb was definitely the star of the show. I loved the flavor a lot. We finished our dinner with homemade tiramisu. I didn't take photos of my friends orders but they were satisfied with the quality of food and service. Paul Manno's Cafe is absolute a great spot for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine.

Joined a group for a pre-New Years eve celebration and the food and service was fantastic. What we had: - Negroni: (4.5/5) GET THIS. best Negroni in town! - house salad: (4.25/5) Split this with my wife. Simple and perfectly executed. - lasagna (4.25/5) Ordered a 1/2 order of lasagna plus 1/2 of the Rigatoni Ubriaco. Lasagna was very tasty. Bright tomato sauce. Didn't notice ricotta. - Rigatoni Ubriaco (4.75/5) GET THIS. This is a fantastic dish. Tip: If you can't make your mind on which pasta to try, go for a two 1/2 orders of pasta as your meal! Love the ambiance. I kept waiting for the rat pack to walk in.

We dined here last evening with another couple. Atmosphere here is warm and cozy. Coat check at the checkin desk is nice as you don't have to sit with your bulky winter coats. Service throughout the evening was excellent. I had thought about ordering the Rack of Lamb and a side of the Drunken Pasta (Rigatoni in a vodka sauce with Sausage and Lobster), but I thought that might be too much food, so I opted for the Entree size Ubriacco (Drunken) Pasta. It was fabulous and ranks up there with the finest pasta dishes I've ever eaten. It was a bit pricey at $40, but every bite was delicious and I would order this again anytime. My Martini was perfect and the wine that I had with my pasta was delicious. The only problem with Paul Manno's is that it is so good you have to make a reservation far in advance if you want an early spot. But that's because everything is so good! Can't wait to go back and do it all again.

This is a picture of the tomato mozzarella eggplant salad I had cut it in half and took the picture. It is delicious.!!

We were just there two days ago and we were a party of six. One recommendation you must make a reservation. You will not get in otherwise. That should give you a good indication as to how good this restaurant is. All six of us had wonderful entrées. We had everything from the veal to lasagna to chicken, entrées, and fillets around the table, and everyone was very happy with their meal. Highly recommend the tomato mozzarella eggplant Stack if it is available that evening. The Wine from Camas was of course superb and our server was lovely. It's a little dark so if you have difficulty reading, bring your cell phone and use your light, but otherwise we will be back.

Neither of us had been here, but a friend recommended we go. It was on my list of restaurants to try so I was more than happy to go! We were served by Shannon. Shannon had such a wonderful sense of humor telling my husband no phones or watches at the dinner table he also kept the bread coming. Like I said, it was a full house so we were eating bread for a while. It was so worth the wait though. My husband got the benedito's farfalle since his favorite pasta is bow tie and I ordered the Rigatoni alla Nino. Mine was delicious and the perfect amount of spicy. The salmon was UGH. Chef's kiss, but my husband's order? I WOULD GET THAT TOO. He ate two baskets of bread though. Lucky for me. I told him he better ask for the rest of his to go because it will have my name written all over it! I was so close to finishing mine but alas, I was too full. Luckily not full enough because we got this dessert. This secret dessert lol what a show. It was made at our table. (I love when restaurants do this) it looked like vanilla bean ice cream with amaretto, a sauce I couldn't tell what that was, and sliced almonds. I am sure I'm missing other ingredients but HOLY COW. Everyone in the restaurant was staring. It was quiet the show. I was scared my hair would go up in flames but he's a pro. That would not happen. The first visit but certainly not the last. We will be back and we will be bringing everyone we know!

The linguine di mare was enjoyable, though somewhat heavy-handed with butter and garlic, which slightly overshadowed the dish's balance. Unfortunately, the service significantly detracted from the overall experience. Despite having a reservation at 6:30pm, and a simple order for two, our entrées did not arrive until approximately an hour after ordering. The delay was excessive and ultimately forced us to leave as soon as the food arrived, leaving us to hastily eat a few bites from the styrofoam to-go containers rather than enjoy them as intended. Given the $160 price point, the experience fell well short of expectations, making it difficult to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I had been a few times in the past but it was my family's first time. I don't drink alcohol and they have a great mocktail section! I got the NOPE-rol Spritz, it was delicious! I got a pizza (the Arugula) and unfortunately I feel as though I ordered wrong (which was my own fault), I didn't really care for it. When you took a bite it was like all the toppings fell off on the first bite. I think they cut the pizza before putting the toppings on which just made it harder to eat. I think the best part of the night was the service. We had Grace as our waitress (she was training another girl, but unfortunately I don't remember her name). They did a fabulous job - Grace did a wonderful job training her! It felt like we were at one of the more elevated Napoli's like Napoli III. They were so attentive and gave us great suggestions. The food will be very familiar from the perspective that everything we had was excellent. We started with calamari, and to our surprise there were also a small group of onion straws on the plate. It was served with 2 sauces (one marinara and one aioli - both were excellent). Don't skip the fried lemons, they are an added treat. We then moved on to the Napoli salad, it is as described on the menu...crisp, and appropriately dressed. Then we had the special pizza of the evening, it was a black garlic base (not strong) with mushrooms and burrata on top - delicious. We also happen to be sitting next to the area with the pizza oven - a must see if you are there. We did sit inside, but outdoor seating was available. What might not be so familiar, but I thought was great, was a more casual atmosphere, and decor, I would classify is as upscale casual. Our server was very pleasant, the only thing that surprised me was the time in between courses seemed a bit longer than expected, but that gave my friends and I a chance to catch up. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and I will be back!

I also never got a fresh refill of any drinks and soft drinks are 3.50! I ordered the salmon crostini and tacchino sandwich. And while the ingredients were fresh and plentiful, and it left me wanting more: more toast on the crostini as it was soft and flimsy with the salmon which is also soft and flimsy, wanted more tomato flavor in the tomato goat cheese mousse, wanted more goat cheese spread and fruit compote on the sandwich to offset the density of the turkey. Everything was very one note and a variance in texture. The fries and ranch were excellent. They were hot and crispy and the ranch was addictive. I showed him the glass and he apologized and said he'd be back after putting in the order. In just a couple minutes he returned with a new glass, new bottle of beer and another apology. I've had similar issues at other facilities but he handled it better, and more professionally than any of them. I did think the manager could have stopped by, not looking for a free drink just to say we're sorry... my date and I both had their version of the choose two section. She had loaded baked potato and said it was great, and she got the chicken breast sandwich which she said was very good. To drink she had a margarita, no salt, and said it was good. I had the wedge salad and it was so large I couldn't even try my sandwich. I did eat it at home and the salmon blt was very good. For dinner, we had the filet mignon with potatoes and green beans as well as the creamy Cajun pasta. The filet was overcooked, but had really good flavor, the green beans with bacon were lackluster. The Cajun pasta was quite tasty, but it really lacked protein (only a few slices of a sausage and a few shrimp). Otherwise, this would have been a one-star review. I have a friend that I don't get to see very often, and we like to get together for dinner occasionally. We've tried a few places, but they just didn't grab us enough to make any of them our new meeting place. We tried The Old Spaghetti Factory a few months ago, and we liked it so much that we both felt we had finally found a place we liked well enough to make it our new spot. Then we came back. In the few months since we were last there, they've drastically changed how they operate. Now, you are REQUIRED to purchase a three-course meal, whether you want one or not. ALL entrees come with a mandatory salad and a mandatory scoop of ice cream for dessert, neither of which I had the slightest interest in. Too bad. It's required. I never touched my salad, and when it came time for ice cream, I just asked our waiter not to bring it. I wasn't going to eat it, and it would have been wasted, just like the salad. I don't mind the concept of a three-course meal, because maybe some people want that. I'm just not one of them. I don't like being told what I have to order, whether I want it or not. I fully support having that as an option, but a demand? We won't ever be back.

The restaurant was fully booked for our date tonight (early valentines dinner), but it still felt…read moreintimate, and the decor was beautiful. We arrived early for our reservation but they were able to accommodate us, and we continued to receive excellent service courtesy of Hadley for the duration of our dinner. My boyfriend enjoyed his Negroni, which was very adorably adorned with an "XOXO" stamped ice cube. I had a glass of the Sangiovese which was excellent with our meal. They require you to order your entire meal at once, due to the very small kitchen staff. We started with the citrus salad, which was shockingly the star of the show. Do NOT skip this! Everything on the dish went perfectly together, I hope to continue to see this on the menu in the future. Our salad was followed by the mafaldine bolognese, which was rich and delicious, with impeccably cooked pasta. We also tried the sugo pizza, which was on their seasonal pizza list. This wasn't our favorite, but still very good. The guanciale was amazing, albeit a little salty with the other toppings. The pizza crust is definitely the star of the show, rightfully so! I can't wait to come back to try more. Many friends had recommended Noto to me, and it certainly did not disappoint.

I thought I left a review the first time I tried this place early last year or late 2024 but I…read moreguess I didn't. I have since been back at least four times. The first time was a great impression. My fiancé at the time ordered a margarita pizza which was delicious. I ordered a garganelli pasta with some sort of red sauce and beef. It left a lasting impression that made us want to come back for more! The impression was so lasting that I made a reservation for my bachelorette dinner to be here but the pizza I ordered fell very short. I think I ate once slice and left everyone else eat it. We got about 3 different other pizzas and they were just okay. The arancini was good and the blue crab pasta was really good and I was like okay I'll order that next time. It was also to celebrate my birthday and they brought out this dessert and the clove flavoring was so bold I spit it out. It was actually not good at all. I felt bad because they gave it to me for free so I just said I was way too full to finish. (First two visits food pics were on my previous phone so I do not have those any longer!) The third visit, I ordered the blue crab pasta and for the price there was barely anything in the bowl for one, but there were also these small chunks of lemon in it and I could not see it so I bit into it with the peel and it was so sour that it just ruined it for me. Ordered the arancini again but there wasn't enough sauce. The burrata was good though. I feel like I can't catch a break lol The last time I went (last night) we rock paper scissored between the shrimp toast and burrata. Shrimp toast won and I had really great shrimp toast from Indo so this fell flat and then I ordered the garganelli with kale and sunflower seeds and it really wasn't anything great and I've come to realize that this place is overrated and I really think it's psychological because there only open certain days of the week and they're so booked out so it MUST be fantastic, but it's just.. good. That's probably the last time I'll go. I feel a lot better spending my money at Katie's. It's more of a 2.5 star rating but I can't do halves and 2 seems like I hated the place but I didn't. It just really fell short the last 3 visits when other places are just so consistent with quality, Noto has been consistent with disappointment. Hot take, I know from other reviews, so take what you will. Other notes * it's pretty loud so prepare to speak up * very small waiting area - more like an aisle really and an outdoor four person space deck with a door leading to a ramp * even if you make a reservation, the exact time isn't guaranteed until the party before you leaves and they don't rush customers (good if you're the one dining, not so good if you're waiting -- had to wait the night of my bachelorette * no tiramisu a tragedy really * dim lighting so very romantic / love the aesthetic * though it's listed as classy, I've seen men wearing cargo shorts, people wear sweats... disrespectful in my opinion but no strict dress code
